Waste
How long is GT's contract with PS2? Forever. Gran Turismo is developed by SONY Computer Entertainment. Ok, thanks for letting me know. I never really looked much into it. I really wish they would release it on PC and stop being stingy bitches.
SanGS
For those who talked about the PS2's limited power, check out IGN's comparison of GT4 and Forza( its actually a pretty good read ), they said that GT4 comes off on top as the better looking of the two... so clearly despite less powerful chips, in the right hands it can cause some serious competition in the GFX department. I'm not a huge online advocate, i'd rather play with friends side-by-side, so the lack of online doesn't mean much to me.. i can't wait for the game its gonna rule! GTA3Freak-2001
Actually as far as I know Online has been dropped until further notice. Yeah Online not being there sucks but don't go blaming PD because the PS2's limited power and its not so great online system is the reason. I do blame Polyphany. Racing against a computer is way too easy. The hardest races are the endurance, and the only problem i have is staying awake for three hours. I'm not into the technical side but they've had 3 years to work it out now. Sorry, but i won't buy a racing game that's not online. I know most PS2 games have sh*tty online menus and stuff. If youv'e played Socom 2 you know it CAN be done well. Oh well, i guess it can still be the best offline racer, for all thats worth. Just because they have had 3 years means nothing when the PS2's has limited capabilities. PD would of included it if it was up to standards but since they obviously couldn't get something that was what they wanted in an online mode they dropped it. Socom 2 is a different style of game, we are talking about a racing sim here which requires more data to be thrown back and forth in an online environment. I am annoyed at no online because moving from dial-up to ADSL was because I'd heard about GT4 being online. @PAL version - Yeah we get about 15 or 16 extra cars the full list of stuff can be found here where a lucky someone already has a copy of the PAL version(he obviously is part of the media who get given final copies) Here

-Jakson-
My bro pre-ordered this. Looks to be an amazing game. Such a shame it won't come out on xbox, this game would kick so much ass on xbox live plus the graphics would be even more awesome. I've played a demo of Forza, wasnt impressed to be honest *daydreams about gt4 on xbox...*

You dont buy a game just because of online, you buy it for the 700cars, 53tracks, and months of fun. Ofcourse Online is a bit of a letdown, but damn! groundride
i don't buy games that don't have cars.. and i dont go into non-car-having game topics bitching about it. 720something cars and nurburgring are reason enough for me to buy this game. i'll spend more time in free run than anywhere else, i garuntee that. i like driving fast more than i like racing, so gt4 is perfect for me. except for the lack of a few italian and old british cars... but i can deal with that. you can play online with x-link or whatnot anyway.. postCount++

Lockdogg
It's going to be a good game...but im really disappointed that theres no C6 Corvette. Blah blah blah, yeah theres 700+ cars but how do you go through that many cars and not even consider it? Dr. Rotten
They are still adding cars to the list right? Maybe there is still a chance for a 05 vette.

AZAZEL
I don't really see a racing community for lowriders. An old Impala isn't a lowrider till you throw one of those hydraulic suspensions in it, for lack of better term. The classic floaters are, however, nicely represented in GT4. Nostalgia, pwn. Go PD! ~az

anuj
I'm not much of a racing guy, but even this game makes me tingle a bit. I bought GT3, and liked it enough. I suppose $50 for GT4 isn't a bad investment.
SIP YEK NOD
you could get impalas with 425hp 427 big blocks strait from the factory. it bordered on family car and muscle car. but how could they have missed the dodge challenger and daytona. or the 1970 pontiac firebird, or late 70s trans ams. those were important cars. i mean they have the pontiac vibe for f*cks sake. what would you rather drive, the banditmobile or the soccermommobile

Don't get me wrong, i LOVE Gran Turismo... but do we really need 10 versions of a R-34 Skyline? give me a f'n break here. They clearly don't know the history of American Muscle all that well... But its something that we have to grasp i suppose...
