Chunky Lee Chong
VeeDub's are great. Don't forget that VeeDub includes Seat, Audi, and Skoda. And, those are just the companies that are within reach of anybodies pay checks. What VeeDub are you planning?
Luke15
@ luke: What kind of A8 is that? Its a 3.0 or 2.8 Audi a8 if i can remember rightly. Quite nice car. We tested a Opel Zafira for my mum to drive. A 2.2l one to replace the Scenic. Its preety powerful for an MPV.
Hammerchuk
But I am thinking of purchasing a Toyota Celica, but I need to know whether it is actually worth the cash. I am going to tune it by the way. What do you guys think? Should I purchase a Toyota Celica or not? Toyota's have great build quality and that's why they have a better re-sale value than alot of vehicles. Personally I think I like the 6th gen Celica the most (mine is a 5th gen, and the current style is 7th gen.) Try and stay away from the ST versions of the car as they have smaller engines, less power & not as many features. You will be out a few grand more if you purchase an All-Trac (GT4) but it would be worth it if you can find one with decent miles on it. There is a nice 5th Gen on Cardomain that seems to be in pretty good shape and is for sale '92 Celica All-Trac w/ Volk TE-37 rims. The white rims look ok on it I guess, but their main feature is being very light-weight. You'll gain about 60-70hp by going with an All-Trac, plus you have the comfort/performance of AWD & a turbo. Wow dude, if you can find one in good shape then jump on it... That's just my personal opinion though. I don't know quite as much about the ST205's but if I could choose a Celica to own, it would be the 6th gen All-Trac... (GT4, whatever)

I should know, I drove one one day. White Nissan Quest. The difference between a 5th and 6th generation ST205/GTFour will be body and engine. With each generation, bodies change, and engine's get bigger. Expect better power, and not to mention the fact that the four round lights on the 6th generation are elite. *gta star*
^My dad's got 2 vans a Citroen Relay and a Renault Master The Renault Master is a 2.2 DCI and its fast and powerful but heavy on diesel The Citroen is a faster van, very good van IMO, not had no problems with it but its an 04 reg lol but I suppose that doesn't mean nothing
Hammerchuk
Good. Right now though the ST185 all trac is looking to be more affordable. Are they hard to find? They aren't as easy to find as an ST, GT or GT-S, but should be easier to find than a 6th Gen All-Trac... I only assume so because i've noticed alot more of them on the Celica site I visit alot... 5th & 6th Gen Celicas of any kind are pretty rare in my area though so maybe you won't have a hard time finding one at all where you live. Lockdogg
Yeah.lol I did some quick research, and the 6th gen all trac Celica is pretty damn rare. Ill never find one. Since all trac is out of the question, what about these ST185 GT/GT-S, are they fast?
Hammerchuk
Since all trac is out of the question, what about these ST185 GT/GT-S, are they fast? They aren't blindingly quick in the 1/4 mile, but they do feel fairly powerful for being such a heavy car. They do work and handle pretty good... I assume you live in the US? If so your car will have a speed limiter on it, so you won't benefit from the decent top-end they have. (Canadian spec. doesn't have the limiter and i've had mine to 140+mph a few times on super-long stretches of highway... Sure 140mph isn't crazy fast compared to sports cars today, but for a '92 Celica it's not too bad either... lol When it comes to GT or GT-S... They have the same specs (power-wise) GT-S comes with a bit sportier suspension I believe... bubbled out fenders, 3-piece spoiler (in most cases) and alot of them have leather guts... System 10 soundsystem (10 speakers) GT could be ordered basically the same as the GT-S, minus the suspension & bubbled out fenders... The GT is a lighter car as well. turbosax05
I used to h ave a burnt calypso green 1995 Ford Escort LX/Sport with over 131,500 miles. this was a USA car since i reside in OH. Buut in December, about 400 mi after havin the Timing belt replaced due to the water pump seizing up, the motor lost compression in 2 cylinders (keep in mind, this is only an I-4 car), because the valves broke off and caused all kind of hell in the combustion chamber, it severly damaged the cylinders and the cylinder walls, the place we took it to said the motor was shot for s*it So we had 2 options, replace the motor with a used one for $2000 but there was a couple problems, it had unknown mileage, and a 90 day gaurantee, basically a bad deal. Or sell the car to a junkyard and buy a cheap used car. Which brings me to my current car. A dark green 1995 Ford Taurus SE, with 86,700 miles, not a bad deal for $2750, don't you agree? Sorry, don't have pics of the cars. My favorite car(s) in the world: 1. Delorean 2. 1962 Chevrolet Impala w/ 409 ci motor 3. 1955-57 Chevrolets, gotta love the design. too big of a list to continue. Chunky Lee Chong
My moms car! Oh, Yeah! A Seat Arosa, it's spanish. What was she thinking? A Lupo rip-off? If you have a Range Rover, you should've told her to get a Lupo GTi. About the Celica's: If they come with a limiter, any shop will be more than helpful in the removal. [/color][/b] About the Celica's: If they come with a limiter, any shop will be more than helpful in the removal. You would think so, but that truly isn't the case... (atleast not around here, and many other places in North America) If it was that easy to have them removed, there would be noone frusterated by the limiter because they would simply have them de-actived/over-rid at any of their local garages... The owner of a local dealership here has actually been trying for months to find a chip to over-ride the limiter on his truck, but there is nothing on the market and it can't just be disabled. Chunky Lee Chong
Well, it just depends on the car in question in your friend's case. If he has a car that's so new, then maybe they haven't made Performance Chip's for it. Or, if it's a car that nobody really cared about and there wasn't a real big craze for it in the modding scene, then a chip may not have ever been manufactured. All you have to do is some searching, and you should be able to find something. After all, a Celica is a pretty popular car.

MindCorrupt
Just got back from getting my wheels fixed on the RX7, was a bit of a nightmare before as i was driving before and one of the wheels fell off, i had to stop in the worst spot to jack it up, on a hill, on a corner and half way on someones lawn. Was a bitch to get back on. Hopefully its all fixed now. Might be picking up a turbo for it as the current S2 engine in it supports it. Should be all good
