Secrets & Easter Eggs

Hey Guys,

You know the Ghost Car (Glendale in the woods) in the list of Easter Eggs... why ghost? What's special about it. I drove it arround, seems to behave like a regular Glendale (only looking kinda wrecked colgate.gif )

When the game first game out, all the junker cars weren't known, just that one. So one unique car unexplained in the woods, which drove itself was a ghostly occurrence before we knew everything we do now. It's still listed because so many people ask about it.

We can't be more specific about "the big secret" because no one knows what it's supposed to be. I don't expect anything profound to be found. Nothing on the magnitude of intentional humor as "Go away; there are no easter eggs here."

I found a couple of things--nothing real big.

You can drive into the full size trees along the sidewalks of the couple of blocks N of Avispa Country Club in SF and knock them over.

E of Mt. Chiliad, near the corner where the road meets the river, is Angel Pines Junkyard. I think one of the three dirty pink domed buildings is the same one that held Lance Vance in "Death Row." If you go into the back left of it, there's a window you can see through, but if you look for the window on the outside of the building, it's not there. (There's no bloody chair in there, though.)

Dude, they do that on real ambulances, too. It's so the words can be read in rear-view mirrors (not that there could be much confusion about whether or not a white and red van with a wailing siren and flashing lights is an ambulance, but hey, it's the done thing...)

Just a little note for the list on page one.

Easter Egg number 25 (I think), the CK building Egg has a reference to 'The Bunnies'....what is this?

Also, the reference to the crane outside The Clown's Pocket casino is actually based upon real life. At the time the game is set (around 1993-1994) the casino that The Clown's Pocket is based upon (Circus Circus) had a large dome built at the back of it. This dome contains a fully functional theme park including one of the worlds largest indoor rollercoasters). Therefore the crane and other building related stuff, whilst possibly being there for a building mission, is also there to add a temproal contextual reference to the real world. This also adds to the verisimilitude (or realness) of the game itself.

Oh...Mokiesmokey, that egg has been spotted before....

"The bunnies" were the egg hunters when this topic first started, they tried to make it a gang. I ignored all that nonsense. I want everyone to contribute to the topic, not an exclusive gang or group.

I don't know where to post this, but......

IF you punch the cash registers in binco, they break and cash flows out of them, but you can't pick them up.

Sorry if this has been known. blush.gif

Yeah Water Boy I think most players have seen this, and it was mentioned yesterday as well. I just want to note the money is more realistic and 2D, not like the money icons CJ picks up.

I have a "last updated" date on the first page, if you visit after that date you can scan the first post or PM about what has changed. If the date hasn't changed since your last visit, just read the last page or two. smile.gif

There are a number of reflections of the R* photographer in the windows and doors of various businesses or buildings in Los Santos

I've only seen those at the Gant Bridge...

I think this hasn't been mentioned before. The keycard you get from Millie in Las Venturas is the exact same one you get in Vice City during one of the Malibu Club missions (where you help escape a guy from jail). I don't have pictures of the one in Vice City, but Millie's card has the Vice City PD insignia.

In Los Santos, there is an apartment that says Chavez, a possible reference to maurice chavez.

Also, u know the Gardening with Maurice show?

In GTA3, in the radio it said that Gardening with Maurice got taken off the radio years ago for some reason.

I was playing the Xbox version, when I made an unusual "discovery."

Sweet's Greenwood and Ryder's Picador had normal license plates, not the custom GROVE4L and SHERM as in the PS2 version. I wanted to check th PC version, but my laptop is f*cked. Big Smoke's Glendale still says "A2TMFK"...

Anyone discovered this before? A purple-glowing cave near Catalina's house. Maybe magic-mushr00mz or something biggrin.gif

Lots of good finds, guys. smile.gif

The photographer in the window seems vague to me though... is it the same texture for all occurrences in any city?

That ID card thing is cool, well done. I'll try and add it.

So Gardening with Maurice was off the air for GTA3, then Rockstar included it in games set prior, pretty cool.

Misty's bar has been mentioned a few times, I guess I'll add it.

Please don't quote people breaking rules as it just contributes to off topic spam. Report it instead.

Pyromaniac I'm sure it's just supposed to look like damp rock walls, nothing supernatural. You drive through there for a couple badlands races.

Why would it mention London? sly.gif

Lots of businesses have international clocks on display... I think it was originally for knowing the times for telegraphing, stock market closing, things like that. Now it's just for decoration or nostaglia. My grovery store has about 8 world clocks up.

Could be referring to the old GTA:London as well.

If you are implying this as evidence that GTA:4 will be set in London, I'm sure you will be disappointed...

It may only be a minor "clue", (should it be), but are you denying the possibility?
