In The Strip there is a casino called "Pirates in Mens Pants" (PIMP).

 

In GTA3's Subway there was an ad for it .( did R* plan this?)

In Los Venturas, the casinos on the Strip are all named after rude slang (such as The Clown's Pocket) or after real-life casinos and films. Examples are, the Royale Casino (which is a spoof on the James Bond film, Casino Royale), Caligula’s Palace (spoofing Caesars Palace) and Pirates In Men’s Pants (spoofing the Gilbert And Sullivan Operetta, Pirates In Penzance).

(There are also other cities mentioned there but the purpose of them being there is unknown)

In Las Venturas, on top of the vertical 'MOTEL' sign on the strip, there is a Scottish hat, known as a Tam o' Shanter. This most likely refers to that fact that Rockstar North is...well, Scottish. Thanks to jrt and Konstantinos.

Hey there, Im on an easter egg hunt myself, but I truly beleive this is not one of them simply due to the fact that a Tam O' Shanter is not a Scottish hat lol.

I come from Glasgow, Scotland. A Tam O' Shanter is a witch or ghost in the old times. You can find a huge reference to this in the Rabbie Burns poem entitled "Tam O' Shanter". Sorry if you think I'm being a pain or anything, but Im intrigued by this stuff and I'm looking to find it all for myself.

 

I think I may also have found another Easter Egg. Just north or Cock Rock there is a second similar rock, but almost like it is in the flacid state lol. It is close to the dry sand area. When I get on the game again ill get the exact location, try and find it though, its not that hard to find. Its a broken rock lying against another rock. Peace guys

thedude777, welcome back from your hols and can I duly remind you of my picture of the NRG-500 (above) and suggest consideration for an entry of the sticker 'Drillo' being a parody of Brillo pad. Its a similar font style and colour. As reserve the Brillo website tagline says it all lol. I still cant work out the meaning behind 'Roqit' or the initials on the wheel arch.

"LEITH" in the screen shot above probably refers to Leith, Scotland.

 

Leaf Links in "Vice City" seems to represent a number of Country Clubs on the E side of

Miami. The name comes from Leith Links, which is in Leith near Edinburgh, Scot-

land, where Rockstar North is. Leith Links is where the earliest record of golf

is found. It's considered the "home of golf" because the first official rules

were formed there.

based within Leith itself--in an office building situated next to Leith

in the trial of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who were executed after a controver-

I'll add that this continues a theme from "Vice City" of figures from contro-

versial trials and crime-related matters. The pictures on the walls of Marco's

Bistro include one that refers to Vera Stretz, who was acquitted in the murder

of her husband in 1936, and it and another seem to refer to the execution of

Bruno Hauptmann, for the Lindbergh kidnapping, the same year. I think another

is of Frank Sinatra, a buddy of Chicago Mafia leader Sam "Momo" Giancana, etc.,

from around the same time. Of that same group of four is a (fake?) front page

that is headed "VERCETTI TO DIE." Considering the context, I wonder if "Vercet-

ti" is a variation of "Vanzetti," of the two men, Sacco and Vanzetti, condemned

to die after a very controversial and famous trial, in 1927.

In bone county, just north of octane springs and to the left of the train tracks,

there is a hut which is sinking into the sand. It looks like it is being pushed right into the ground.

I won't be able to get a pic, so just follow these steps:

 

1. Head for octane springs, bone county.

2. Follow the railroad tracks in the direction of Las Venturas.

3. Stay to the left (west) of the tracks and you should see the small hut.

 

Quite odd.

I don't have a picture but if you go to the eastern-most bridge that connects Los Santos and San Feirro, there is a pulsing light that only appears at night. Don't know the exact times or if somebody else posted already, I mean 165 pages to go through to find one small fact, I don't think I'm up to it at 12:29 in the morning...
