now i did get the ifp import script but it get and error when i try to load ifp files the error looks like this here

 

and in ther read me it says "if IFPioInfo == undefined then fileIn (scriptspath+"\\GTA_Tools\\IFPio_Fn.ms") quiet:true"

 

^^^^^^^^^

so what do i do? it doesnt make much sence

tonester, the one you use is for GTA3/VC ifp. You need a SA IFP IO to import SA animation!

jacob, this is a GREAT tutorial. Thanks very much. Having a little trouble with posistioning, but the tools and the way it was explained works VERY well.

 

I may stink at modeling, but I do keyframing all the time, so getting what I want should be a snap.

 

We MAY see some new animations in the PEDS series. Might not be until Season 2, but what the hey.

 

Anyway, thanks again. biggrin.gif

Where are the ifp file that game search for the bmx animations?

i know im bumping, but i have a problem.

it says

) Select the dummy you wish to modify. Click on 'Set Key', wich is located under the timeline.

2) Click on the 'Key' picture wich is located on the timeline. This adds a new keyframe.

3) Move the timeline slider to your desire. Rotate / move the selected dummy. Click the key picture to write another new keyframe.

and i use Gmax1.2, but in Gmax, i cant find that "set key", can someone show me a picture of where it is?

replace the one in gta3.img, thats the one that game uses

 

i wanted to make a working skateboard but that damn bmx has bargrip dummies so cj's hands would always face forwards which looks retarded, oh well..

i read this tutorial and i was like wow i really wanna try this so i imported the ifp and dff into max, then selected the mesh and selected hide selected, then i selected the bone i wanted to move pressed set key then selected the key symbol and moved it to the way i wanted i did this with all of them then selected the unhide all and selected everything and clicked replace but when i went ingame he looked like this nothing like my animation he looked more like bart simpson in my opinion confused.gif

Seems to be a glitch with the SA IFP script, so you can only really do any sort of anims for VC

me too, seems like the script misplaces the jaw dummy, i forgot wether it does it on import or export, if its the first then maybe you could try moving the dummy into the right position..

Edit2: Seems that when i click apply animation, it wont apply the animation.

I only succeeded once, using some motor animation

Be sure you had turn on the 'Animate' button before you rotate bones, otherwise, no animated keys will generate!

 

And make sure you had selected bones before 'Apply Animation'.

1Load Gmax

2Open DFF importer

3Open IFP importer

4 next what now?? please a fast awnser!

But i wonna' the hero gta 3 has been walk!

Sorry for the bump, but how do i get my animations working in SA? I wan't to make CJ walk and run like gang members, but the jaw dummy and eyebrows are always misplaced. sad.gif

try finding the right animation in charanim viewer then just loading that anim in 3ds otherwise they will get mixed up biggrin.gif

First load the Run_civi in a VC ped, then click on Run_player a nd hit replace (with the vc ped bones selected).

 

Thats it.

i use 3ds max and wen i click replace it replaces current animation but when i again apply dat

replaced animation it gives an error message and den if i try to apply some other animation

it gives me same error. i close 3ds max and wen i load same ifp again it wont load giving the same error.

i m trying to replace gta_sa animation. but anyways now my problem is solved. i was not able to replace because i used gta_ifp_io script to import a dff character. now when i import dff character through gta_dff_io script it replaces animation successfully. tounge2.gif

 

 

 

but now i have another problem sneaky2.gif wen i use gta dff io script to import character

bones move along with animation but i cant see its skin moving that is mesh mad.gif plz solve my problem
