Got a mission you just can't get past? Upload your savegame and I'll or one of the helpers will beat it for you! I do it all the time; I don't mind! If you post it here, others might get to it first. If not, I will. If this gets too popular, it might take a little time. But hey, practice makes perfect, right?

 

How do I do it? It's actually easier than you might think. First, go to My Documents/GTA Vice City User Files. You will see files called "GTAVCsfX.b" where X is a number from 1-8. That number corresponds with which slot you saved your game in. So if you saved the game you need help with in slot 7, then you would be talking about GTAVCsf7.b

 

Easy so far, right? Now that you fingered the file you need, ZIP it. Name it whatever you like. Now you have to upload it. NO I DON'T USE EMAIL OR MSN/AIM, so don't ask. DO NOT PM YOUR REQUEST TO ME, use the topic this is what it is here for. You will have to upload it. Finding a host is easy enough. If you need help, try some of these.

How to Upload:

1. Click Browse and select the saved game file you want to upload

2. Click Upload

3. On the next page copy and paste the URL give to you in the body of the page to your post

(NOTE: The hosted file will be deleted after 7 days)

 

How to Download:

1. Clicking the link you are given

2. There will be a choice of 8 links to click on labed Slot1, Slot2 and so on.

It does not matter which one you select, they are all the same only the file name is different.

 

 

At my earliest convenience (I get pretty busy here!), I will grab it, beat the mission(s) you request and upload it for you to grab. When you grab it back (you guessed it), just unzip the .b file into the same folder, load that slot, and off you go!

Ya this is one of the coolest ideas I have seen. If you visit my forums, you will see a lot of posts from some great people that complete save games and then upload them as attachments. There are probably more than 15 scattered throughout my forum, so Demarest: you should check there and save them and maybe make a zip file with every save for every mission, though it would be tricky considering that there are a lot of missions available at the same time.

The Driver passed. Get your savegame back here. Thank you for saving at the Malibu; it made it a lot easier on me.

 

In the future, you should never share your .set file as it contains info specific to your hardware and will be useless to just about anybody else

@d8cam19: Missed your post before, sorry. I DO have such a collection of saves. I use it the same way I used my GTA3 ones before making Timetwister: To be able to enter the game at any point for testing purposes and such. Not very realistic to release publically especially in VC because there's so many jobs that could be done in so many different orders.

 

@bigwheelie2000: Your link is dead. It would appear that those other forums aren't too keen with you creating threads there just to share out a file. I can understand that. Is there any reason why you don't just post the link to the file here? If hosting is the issue, check out my opening post for help with that.

 

@Nells: Here you go: http://azupload.gtaforums.com/Demarest/GTAVCsf4.jpg Just as you did it, you'll need to rename it to .b for it to work. I really wish you would've saved closer to the job! Oh well, mission passed. I find it ironic that VC's missions were generally easier than GTA3's, yet my GTA3 thread is unused while this one has several replies

Hi...

I'm stuck at 99% and i think that the only thing i need is the dirtbike track in downtown...

But when i pass, then it don't put it in my stats...

@bw2000: There we go Same link as before. During it, I lost 18 armor, used some minigun and mp5 ammo and completed the Unique Jump at the AmmuNation in Downtown. There's no way to play the mission without completing that jump.

Sorry to be a bother, but and this is not a glitch I just can't do it in the time alotted...

 

I guess I suck at flying and boat driving...

 

I need some help on the toy chopper mission and boat mission...

 

I can get three of the four bombs but by then I only have 23 sec's left

 

and the boat is way too hard for me to control. I have to try 3-6 time just to get one of the markers...

 

if it's not too much trouble coould you help me... again?
