Captain Keyes

I also heard that he introduced steroids to Pudge Rodriguez, Rafael Palmeiro, and Juan Gonzalez of the Rangers. These guys were probably the first major icons for my hometown's team who led them to their first franchise playoff appearance and it's kind of discouraging to find out that they were all on the juice.

It really makes you wonder which of your favorite baseball stars have been doing the same.

CJ San Andreas

Giambi didn't even say what he was aplogizing for confused.gif

I don't know why the Yankees wouldn't just release him. He isn't worth what he is being payed. On the other hand this year will be 1999 all over again for the Mets. They improved dramiticaly with Pedro and Beltran. It'll be a great summer in New York Baseball.

I think the AL West is going to be a huge toss-up this year. All the teams have similar levels of talent.

Roger Clemens has been in the show for two decades, but one thing he still hasn't done is stolen a base. He's declared that he will try to swipe one this next season if the opportunity arises, even if the Astro managers and coaches say otherwise.

Kinda amusing if you think about it-- Clemens is a big man and not very fast on the basepaths at all. And the last thing the Astros need is their $18 million pitcher sitting on the bench because he injured himself sliding headfirst into 2nd base.

I agree. If my pitcher gets on base, I wouldn't even think about him stealing a base if he is at the quality of Roger's pitching and as big and slow as he is. As you said, putting him on the bench due to sliding into second base to steal is ridiculous.

Go Here

At least check it out. It is a pretty fun game I assure you. It is very successful on LSU's message board for sports. They did it for football and basketball and everyone has had fun so far.

That is the baseball equivalent of a lineman returning a fumble 109 yards for a touchdown. "Rumbling bumbling stumbling fumbling" comes to mind.

Yes it is. With his age being 40 and having gone through 20 seasons of Major League Baseball it would be a great accomplishment if he ever steals a base in his last season.

Yes, they do. The west might be really hard to decide this year.

Hell yeah. But I have to have faith that the angels will pull it off. Oh man, it hurts to see "LAA" in those predictions. I miss plan old "ANA".

lol, It is sad to see the acronyms change from ANA to LAA. I always like Anahiem. But now Los Angeles Angels of Ananhiem? cry.gif

Captain Keyes

Nice to see someone finally posting in this thing with less than two weeks before the start of the regular season, even though I've been guilty of not posting here as well.

I hear Clemens' Hummer that he received from the Yankees as a retirement gift got stolen. He let his son drive it (which I don't understand why, because his son already had his own Hummer) and he left it at his school unlocked.
