The 'Mega Punch' cheat knocks down lampposts in two hits, but it dosen't increase damage on cars?

 

Something funny to try as well, use the 'Mega Punch' and 'Pedestrians Attack You' cheat and see how long you can survive one hit kill attacks, crazy stuff when you have a group of people heading towards you.

It's great seeing edison's videos as well, smashing to see how the genius uses his own findings for fun. heh, the guy went splat into the lamp-post - pure genius!

Throwing Peds on lamppost is not so fun, i highly prefer punch bike cops back on their HPV1000! It sounds great!

Actually, the cheat increases damages on hitting cars! You can tear a car door in three hits!

fantastic cheat, lol, try combining them with others. I'm gonna do mega-punch, slow motion and...well, aggressive drivers as well, lol, should be interesting!

I was practicing that cheat by punching random peds and this mexican ped ran up to me, punched me, I flew and then died. When I experimented to see if peds have this ability as well none I found did. WTF?

Can anyone confirm if Mega Punch makes you harder to kill too? dude (im new but ive been watching this for like 3 days refreshing my page every 5 mins)i pretty sure it does!! i counted the number of hits i could take and with it on it took 5 more hits to kill me! i love that cheat

 

 

(of course i did it in two player and used the dildo so i didnt kill myself in 1 hit )

well "hits vary in damage and 5 hits could just be weaker hits not the cheat.

hits do vary in strength compared to the opponets position but i hit cj the same way and distance from him with 2 player every time,and i did it again and got the same results but it took 1 more hit to kill him with the cheat bothways this time compared to last time. so im pretty sure it makes a slight diffrence but not completly(im not sure so some1 check but if i had two player would the cheat take affect on him or not?)

i posted before that if u redo the cheat u can get out of the car.

 

also i think the mega puch dosen't work if u use it during a mission and then complete the mission the same wwway the slow motion code works.

If you want to do somthing funny take a car to the big jump at the dam in bone county, Put the flying cars cheat in and go off the ramp, Keep the car in the air and the camera will stay in jump mode, I did that and i couldn't even see my car anymore, When i did hit the ground i was almost to Bayside.

Mega punch is so damn fun...a crack dealer was blocking the road, and I carjacked the car in front of him and disposed of the person in it. Now another guy (one of those indian guys with the orange clothing) tried to cut to the right of the car, but crashed. He got out of his car, put his arm into the air, and walked over to the crack dealer. After some talking between them, the indian guy punched the crack dealer right into CJ, causing him to jump into the air.

Edisoncarter, how did you learn how to hook up the controller? You go to college or something?

You don't need college education to know how to work with digital electronics. Besides, most college classes focus on theory. They'll teach you how to design circuits, but very few will actualy teach you how to wire them. I've taken a few digital electronics classes in my university, and only some of the introductory classes require you to work with breadboards. Everything else is pen and paper, which is understandible, since when you design something more complex you are working with circuits that would require an insane amount of components.

I doubt that there will be an infinity health cheat, there woulden't be any point to it. Although an andromerder(don't know how to spell it) cheat would be good.

Wow this EdisonCarter guy is mindblowing, he finally cracked the codes to San Andreas, and R* probably wasn't going to release them for another year at least...

There will still be codes for R* to release in a year, even if he lets his cheat finding contraption run untill then.

Yeah, I just said it wrong. I'm not sure what the correct term for doing it to a PS2 disc is, but it's like opening the exe with a hex editor.

actually, apparently some cheats you can save with. But still, it can cause you not to be able to get 100%. But some HAVE got 100% and still cheated like no tomorrow.

 

I guess it depends, some people get lucky and some don't.

if u use peds riot/attack/have weapons it will corrupt u save

 

same with if u half spray a tag (someone hits u, or u dont finish it)

thats all i can think of that will screw up ur save

 

o and something like saving after one of the las venturas woozy missions outside his casino will also corrupt u save.

Today I was performing the greatest sport of all time: car surfing.

The guy who was driving the car got really high up and I decided it was time for my departure. I pumped his car full of lead and jumped just as the car was about to explode. Then I opened my parachute and landed to safety. It was awesome! Like something out of a James Bond movie only better.

Heheh.. yeah. It's pretty insane seeing how long you can survive against mobs of peds trying to one-hit-kill you... not to mention one another. I think I made it about two minutes, then I respawned at the hospital, and I'm dead again within 5 seconds.

I'm not totally sure how it works, I just know he's got a PS2 controller wired into his computer, and a program that tests millions of random button combinations... (most of which do nothing.) But when a button combination does activate a cheat for the game, the program tells him somehow. If someone wants to elaborate on HOW this works... like, is it also connected to his PS2... or what? I'm pretty clueless about these things. Anyway.. when it does tell him a cheat has been activated, he has to go find what it does... which doesn't take long in most cases, it's usually pretty evident right away.

His controller stick moves? WTF are you talking about? He said he has it running 24/7... unless he was exaggerating. I'm guessing it just keeps a log and he goes through and finds the ones that work.

If I understand correctly, he has a software program that sends out button combination commands to a cable (10 or so per second), which is rigged to every button's sensor in his dissected controller, which is hooked to the PS2, which runs like normal, and he simply watches the screen until it says "Cheat Activated" on the TV, just like if you were to enter a code.

he should be working with other people too speed up the process in the project he is working on right now, so that people will be satisfied

This would require everyone to use the same hardware and same software, with the software designed to assign a portion of all possible combinations to different users. That way, if 1000 people are working on this, all cheat codes can be found in a matter of weaks, or even days. But I don't know if there are enough people with soldering skills who wouldn't mind voulonteering PS2 time, and this would probably require a central server for assigning combinations to work on to everyone.

 

Edit: Maybe we can do this for the next GTA game. We'll need a way to mass produce the required circuitry, though. I mean, I can probably put together quite a few, but it will still be only a small portion of what is actually needed. So we'll need 20-30 people putting together circuits and a way to split the cost among all of the people involved.

There's a lot of pointless posts asking how edison's method of cheat code finding works. So pay attention:

 

(edison, correct me if I'm wrong about anything)

 

-First, he takes apart his PS2 controller to expose the insides, like in this picture:

 

 

-He then connects a cable from the parallel port on his computer, to the circuit board of his PS2 controller. He uses those blue wires to connect to each button on the PS2 controller. Each wire is connected to a different PS2 button.

 

-He then starts up his PS2 and loads San Andreas

 

-Then he uses some powerful sofware that "emulates" button presses. What it does is the computer will send button press signals through that parallel cable and to the controller. This way the controller thinks that a button was pressed.

 

And more than likely it's not just spitting out random button presses. It probably goes in a certain order. For example, it first sends the code UP DOWN L1 R1 L2 R2 Left Right and then changes one button and sends UP DOWN L1 R1 L2 R2 Left Down. The software also logs every emulated button press it sends to the controller (and in the order it sends it).

 

Now, he has Cool Edit (an audio editing program) setup to record audio from the game all day long. Then later on he looks at the graphical audio display in Cool Edit to find any indication of sound. Also, he has a gameshark which helps him stop other sound from happening in the game (such as CJ getting hungry).

 

Also, he has CJ in the airport away from all city sounds and everything else. So the only noticable sound that would come up is that Cheat Activated dialog box sound. Then all he does is look at the time in which that sound occured, looks at his controller software at that same time and figures out what button presses were sent out to the controller at the time of the cheat's activation. Make sense, eh?

 

He then plays the game to figure out what the code does. He looks at the logged (saved) button presses to figure out which buttons activated that code. Then he posts them on www.gtaforums.com and gains an even higher reputation as the San Andreas king.

 

 

If anyone still doesn't understand, then just give up asking.
