Some more fun glitches with these cheats:

 

This is a major one. You can use the flying car cheat to make the Gang Territory Glitch much easier. Since your car levels out and never slows down, all you have to do is go away from San Andreas. Also, to have an altimeter (height meter) in a flying car just enter with a parachute selected and without an SMG or Mini-SMG, or just put in the parachute cheat while flying (*works with jetpack also.) I decided to put in the Gang Rulz cheat before to see if it has any effect. Still waiting to see results so I will edit if I was wrong about any of this.

 

Cars Fly + Unlimited Oxygen= Submarine

Put in these cheats and you can drive through the water like a submarine. Can't really break out of the water again, unless someone finds a way. Otherwise it gets boring and you have to exit or commit suicide.

why are there 2 different flying cars cheats?

this is the original one

up, down, L1, R1, L1, right, left, L1, left

and this I found at gamefaqs

square, down, L2, up, L1, circle, up, x, left

and it works too

the gamefaqs one is like the ones in gta3 and vice, where your car behaves like the dodo with clipped wings. The new one allows the cars to have thrust, like a jet plane (shamal). They also level out normally.

I tried both and I cant find a difference. also I can activate it with the one and deactivate it with the other combination

Seriously though probably whats happened is since Edison started this and posted how he's doing it the kiddies over at GAMEFAGS (yes you read right... no I didn't mis-spell it ) have slapped together their own "Do-It Yourself Cheat Finder" and are running their own search...

 

In a big game like SA there is bound to be more than one way to activate a cheat or a glitch in the programing.

 

*Thinks of a game called Freelancer where there was 6 different ways to get neutral with all NPC factions in under five minutes after starting*

i've made a new sport: car-achute

1.put on dodo cheat (flying car cheat)

2.put on parachute cheat

3.fly car realy high and then jump out!

4.open the parachute and look at the car fly into the horizon

 

this sport is better with the rare/sports car cheat on

With the free aiming while driving cheat, L2 puts the car in soft reverse, R2 puts it in soft forward. By soft I mean as if u were lightly pressing the [] or X button to cruise or brake slowly.

 

Is this ability to cruise the car by half pressing X new to GTA games? I know that u couldnt for GTAVC PC, but could u for PS2? If so, why didnt they carry it over to PC, perhaps for another button. If it is new, good for you Rockstar.

I don't know if anybody has posted about these things or not, but there are some things I've noticed that the new cheats do.

 

For one, the flying car code is absolutely awesome. I love doing it. One thing that might make this code better is also entering the Vehicle of Death code, or whatever it's called. This will eliminate any rough landings that will totally ruin your car. I'm pretty sure this works out, as I've been smashing around in a Banshee for like 15 minutes, and we all know how quick a Banshee goes up in flames just bumping into walls, let alone crashing bumper-first into the ground after a freefall from 2000 feet.

 

Also, I found the cars a bit harder to control while in the air and on the ground when I had the Free Aim code on, but it might have been my imagination when it was on the ground. It was definately more difficult to control when the car was flying.

The reason is that all the keyboards that I know of don't have "light" touch capabilities. You're either pressing the key or you aren't. GTA VC PC version did allow for analog controllers, but I think that was only for directional movement, not the buttons, and the way that they had the movement set up didn't allow for very sophisticated control. I found driving with a control pad much more difficult than the keyboard.

I actually found two codes that are both Cars Fly. You can confirm by activating with one and deactivating with the other. The other one was only up there for about an hour before I switched to the up-down one because it's easier to enter and doesn't have an annoying circle in it. I hate when a cop comes over to bust you and you can't do anything because you're in the middle of entering a cheat. It kind of makes sense that Cars Fly should begin with UP down.

 

GameSpot is calling the Traffic is Fast Cars cheat "Increase car speed". They must be going straight to some noob on another board for their source.

 

Someone posted something a while ago that made me think maybe you can get above the max height limit by car surfing. It wouldn't be very useful since you can't control where you go, but still interesting. It would mean the limit isn't applied to non-player cars. You gotta wear the parachute while you're surfing to see your altitude.

 

Confirmed that L2 and R2 thing while free-aiming. We keep finding more stuff that these cheats do! I'll add that to the description.

Skiller has informed me that the group of cars you get with "Traffic is Fast Cars" is indeed named "Fast Cars" by the game designers in the comments in the data file.

 

The group is:

buffalo, infernus, cheetah, banshee, hotknife, turismo, zr350, comet, supergt, bullet, uranus, jester, sultan, elegy, flash, euros, club, phoenix

Someone posted something a while ago that made me think maybe you can get above the max height limit by car surfing. It wouldn't be very useful since you can't control where you go, but still interesting. It would mean the limit isn't applied to non-player cars. You gotta wear the parachute while you're surfing to see your altitude.

I car surfed and got above the max limit. Although after a few minutes above, the ped's car stalled and suddenly nose dived, leaving me in the ocean.

Dang, non-player cars aren't immune to the stalling out above high altitude. Strange that it would kick in late though.

 

If you go to a pay and spray with Weapon Aiming While Driving turned on, your view stays in the car while they do the work.

Fantastic work Edison! I was practicing my mega-punch at the construction site as well. I've been seeing if it has any effect on object destruction, but Im not noticing any yet (I beat up a light pole and a tree, but neither fell... )

If you put in the fast motion cheat along with the flying cars cheat, your car goes even faster!

 

And if you land from a rough landing, can't you just simply type in the Armour+Money cheat to repair your car.

 

The Armour+Money cheat repairs your car like new, even the visuals.

Whilst using the lovely new flying cars cheat, I "drove" to the top of the Los Santos building modeled after the Library Tower in Los Angeles (tallest, conical). I bailed out onto the roof to find that, alast, there was a Maverick on the helipad. This was the first time a Maverick has ever spawned here for me. It never shows up when I enter on the street, so I thought it was worth noting. Sorry if this is pointless, I just thought I'd share.

I sank mine with the Oxygen cheat on and drove it back out of the water and carried on as if nothing happened. Was rather funny!

One of the main disadvantages with the "Power Punch" is that it doesn't affect vehicles and the like, it would've been killer to be able to attain a high wanted level and literally punch swat vans and tanks into the air ala Reloaded style...

 

Stick on the slow motion cheat with it and it would look stunning, especially with high jumps, GTA : Zion :-p

Yeah, I noticed that as well. However, I didn't suffer quite the same fate. I bailed, trying to land on the helipad, and erm... Well, I missed, hitting one of the lower structures, and dying.

I just had a thought about how to use the mega punch to make things seem like you had an adrenaline pill thingy.
