Is it true what someone posted about the Orange Sky cheat cycling through weather patterns really fast? I haven't been able to get that. I flew from SF to LV and all I had was orange sky.

 

Edit: I've only gotten something like that when I turn it off and it spins the clock to a random (I guess) time.

could depend how fast you were going. Something similar, I flew in a car from the country town [edit - Montgomery] to San Fierro, Doherty and there were still country cops and police jeeps going around. So if you go too fast flying through, it might just stick to the same thing until you stop and the new things can load.

Yea... When you do that code, the sky will stay orange for a while, then once it hits 21:00 it will be orange for liek 5 minutes, then turn like a dark blue for like 10 seconds, ( maybe a little longer, not sure), then turn back to orange and that repeats...

well the good thing is he unless there are some codes that dont activate the active cheat diolog then we should get all the cheats .. the 92 that i have all activated the cheat diolog .. so .. he should be able to find all the ones i have for the divices .. also all let u know one thing so ppl dont get there hopes up .

 

From when i was lookin through the 92 active cheats and the other active cheats (always on ones .. the only reson i have on in the always on section for Inf health is because this is what happens when the health/Money code is always on .. but i could be wrong about this .. all im saying is dont get your hopes up .. when i do retest my codes.. all let u know if there is a inf health code

 

think im goin to go muck around .. with GTA SA see if i can find anything ..

Ok, just to clear up the waiting time:

I'll assume the longest possible code is 12 buttons long.

And the shortest possible 9 buttons.

And his computer is scanning them at 10 combinations a second

this would result in the following:

now, I just don't wnat to hear anybody any more saying things like 15 years, 5 billion combinations and wrong stuff like that. The stuff i wrote down here is 100% right!! You can ask a Mathematics professor if you want (or just ask me, I'm studying mathematics )

so it will officially take (if his computer goes throgh 10 combs in one sec, maximum lenght is 12, minimum 9)

I posted it, but it was deleted (??? I didn't flame, in fact, I added some knowledge, but oh well) Anyways, yes, I had this happen at MT.Chilaid as well and the cities as well. It cycles through each weather pattern about 5-10 secs each. Thanks for the code!

Actually, its not random!!!!! It fast forwards the exact time you leave it on the 21:00 cheat! So if you do the 21:00 cheat and leave it on for 3 mins 27 secs, when you disable the cheat it will fast forward to 03:27! No doubt this cheat was what R* used for demo's before release like you suggested.

i noticed that you can deactivate the cars fly cheat...lol try going really high in the air in a car then deactivateing the cheat great fun!

I dont know why Rockstar is so secretive with their codes, it would save us lots of trouble if they just spilled the beans.

but then everyone would beat the game really quick and it wouldnt be fun anymore so they leave it up to the gamers to find them so they wont cheat all in the beginning of the game and beat it really quick

Because you don't give away the answer to the puzzle before people have had enough time to try and solve it. They put these codes in there for us to find. It's part of the game.

 

They had pity on our weak showing so far and released that batch of 6 cheats (Massive Bunny Hop, Mega Jump, Beach Party, etc) around the holidays.

100% of GTA3 and Vice City cheats have already been found. Hackers have looked at the source and confirmed this.

 

Actually, you could get the PC version of Vice City and do TONS more fun stuff. The most fun I had was raising the water level and cruising down the streets in a Jetmax. It would be so sweet to do that in SA now that CJ can swim.

The curse of being a genius...hey edison, I was meaning to ask for your opinion about the pics in the Brady Games guide, don't know if you seen some of them but for the flying races part you get in LV airport, in the pics in the guide are these numbers at the top of the screen. I hadn't noticed that before. On page 160-163. Beta or Debug versions often have that kind of stuff in them. Usually they're an "#ifdef", that is a conditional compile where it's left out of the release version to save space.

If you can get me the images you're talking about, I can have a look at them. Chances are though, that they have a seperate debug mission script like they did for the last two games, but that's what I said regarding the Hydra cheat

I tried the 21:00 cheat in LS and there is in fact mostly orange sky. Its just that LS's weather patterns involve much smog, hence the mostly orange sky weather patterns. If you stand around for a minute or two you will still notice subtle changes in he lighting/weather effects. I suppose rain etc. in LS is less frequent. But if you go to SF or the Abandoned Airstrip you will notice more radical changes like rain, fog and sand storms.

 

I have also noticed that with all or most of these cheats you can repeat them to deactivate. I know these for sure:

21:00

Gang Control Streets

Driver Weapon Free Aim

Cars Fly

Fast Cars Traffic

Nitrous/L3 Hop Taxis

Reduced Traffic

 

I have also found a nice glitch using the free-aim cheat. Find a policeman outside of his car shooting at someone (I used the agressive drivers cheat because it increases frequency of police) and wait until he kills them and is re-entering the police car. Make sure you have an alternate weapon besides SMG and Mini-SMG, like the M16 or whatever. If you time it right, he will be trying to get in right before you do, so instead he will get in the back seat or step back and you will still have and be able to shoot with your alternate weapon. haven't tried with RPG but that is next.

 

Also noticed a glitch from combining the in vehicle free-aim cheat with the flying cars cheat. If you get a really fast car like Turismo or police cruiser the vehicle will start to convulse about 2 feet back and forth very rapidly! Its really strange, not to mention just driving around with this combination in general. The physics for the free-aim cheat contradict the cars fly cheat physics as well as the general driving phsyics, thus creating such an interesting mess.

 

I should also note that doing the free-aim cheat and getting on a motorcycle is a true bike-morph glitch, unlike the suedo one from VC (mounting bike over a clothes icon) and with this one you cannot fall off the motorcycle unless you land in the water! Its pretty interesting, the free-aim keeps CJ level, but the bike does all kinds of crazy stuff and he won't fall off.

 

Has anyone tried the Gangs Control Streets cheat with the territory glitch yet???? Could help with some of those territory problems.

yea ive tried the gangs control code with territory glitch and i shot some ballas in a territory covering the LS airport and after one wave of people i got it. also works in SF and LV.

 

the orange sky and 21:00 code is good for people who do the burgalry missions if u wnat infinite time to steal from the houses.

the free aim cheat won't work in the kart

Maybe the mods have a way to block anyone who didn't register before 2005...

 

There are two ways I land when I'm flying a car:

 

1) Get the rubber side down and skid against the ground or tops of buildings to slow yourself down, or

 

2) Get up to max speed and then powerdive into the base of a building as fast as I can. I love the motion effect of going into the ground at full speed. Cars are pretty durable and usually survive the crash.

For the flying cars:

 

Has anyone found a good way of landing? I mean without slamming into a building or something There's gotta be a way to slow your vehicle down enough so you can make a decent landing... Reverse and the handbrake don't do much

Ive been practicing with this. It's easier for cars with poorer accel. I have trouble in the bullet, but its pretty easy in the club, and even easier in the golf kart.

The trick is to hold the break (square, although maybe the handbreak would work as well), and then gently press down on L3, so the car inclines forward a little, I've found the break only really works like that. Im not sure what the physics behind the car flying motion is, but there's not a lot of air resistance slowing the cars down in the air - I hovered several feet off the ground for the entire stretch of the LVA runway with the break depressed.

 

::edit:: I've also found that many of the faster cars respond positively to this technique: stop accelerating and point the car straight up and slowly let it fall onto its back then roll the car onto its wheels before it touches the ground. It's easier than it sounds if you practice it a few times.

what do you mean just stop? the brakes dont work for crap....

my favorite ways are to just turn the cheat off in midair, or to ram into the ground. the cars usually dont even smoke. you cant land it like a plane, and who cares if you blow it up anyway? you got that all fast cars cheat on, grab another exotic and wreck that one too.

 

i hope that cottonclub gets banned forever....these forums were so much cleaner before all the damn n00bs showed up. people that join just to spam one topic should just be ip banned forever. its always interesting to look at all the posts some people make, and see that not one of them is worthwhile in the least. at least 2 pages of this topic have been wasted with newb posts, and thats after the mods cleaned this topic.

 

and i did notice the gang peds cheat makes it much easier to take over territory glitch territories. plus the fact that its just cool to see 6 different gangs in the same area all killing each other, and i can just sit back and watch.
