ive looked at this topic a little and i just thought of something.

ParoXum is that your church at 1:37? looks alot like it. just thought it could be.

Nah, it's not tounge.gif My church isnt so AAA level looking. But if you like to see it in action, I have made a poor trailer a month back and published it in HD to Vimeo wink.gif

The 69 bar looks ace ! Really close to the IV version. But keep your mesh less triangulated, do more quads, because as you can see in your own pics, it turns into a tri-f*ck-fest with vertex lighting/shadows. wink.gif

 

 

Oh and BTW, are you ready for the 15th ?

Yeah i know for those shadows, i wanted to have a good render using a polys number the most small as i can, but i the result the render isn't so good...maybe ingame will look better (if someday i put it ingame ^^ )

@coasterdude: some stuff

 

-the kerb is too high compared to the car

-houses are too big compared to the car (doors as references)

-pavements textures do not link on the kerb

 

The rest is fine and pretty coherent.

Thanks guys. I know the kerb ios too high but I can finish later. I'll redon the kerb textures aswell. I have a lack of door textures and the scale of the car was done quickly. Not to be making excuses or anything.

Heh, ParoXum, it's been a while (I think) since you last showed anything.

It looks great and like Kowaah said it looks very realistic and detailed. -makes the rest of us feel sh*t rofl (jk)

Good job though.

 

Is it going into Gostown by any chance? (lol)

I'm on IE at the moment round somebody elses house and it's so crap >.<

And I'm working on dt_34 for Gostown, and somehow the archway I made is 42 polys, compared with the entire (very very very juvenile) 57 poly building xD

I'm shaving poly's as I go, if i didn't it'd be on about 800 by now tounge.gif

I'll post some pics later when I get home and can render it xD

For Gostown, you know the lot limit is 10,000 polys, right? How many 800 poly buildings are you going to fit on that lot?

 

Also, props on the firefox! IE is entire crap! Chrome is ok, but Firefox rules!

 

ParoXum,

 

Great render and all, but why in the funk is there an exterior ventilation shaft running right in front of those windows? Are those the cheap rentz?

10,000 divided by 800 =

12.5 tounge.gif

12 and a half buildings on the lot if each building is 800... tounge.gif

thankfully I'm on 434 so far and the building is a lot bigger and more detailed than what it was...

and I'm getting poly errors >.<

Not being rude or anything, but EvilRaptor, I think the point Disturbd is trying to make is that your building(s) are too undetailed in terms of the model. 3D things out a bit more and add details you would see in real life and you'll soon see the polies start kickin' in - especially with the pipes <lol>
