Long time i'ven't do something, so as i don't have a lot of time to do some real great things for Gostown or other mod, i continue learning 3ds max, improuving my skills before the start of the new school year !

Yeah, i reconize it's nore easy to reconize this place because i've been modified it a lot, so maybe if you delete this "roof" in the first pics, you can reconize the scene...

 

I help you, it's the first safehouse of the game...

No, i don't do a remake of GTA3 because i don't have time, but it will be a good idea !

Liberty City is my favorite City of all the GTA'sn so maybe an HD very will be nice, but no plans for moments...

That is something I'd like to see. A mod like that would probably influence me to create GTA from scratch, from a programming perspective that is. It's an idea I've had for quite some time, just haven't found the motivation for it. Such a project would certainly open up modding capabilities.

^^ If this goes anywhere, i will officially be re-doin the SA LC Mod... so its not the same as GTA3 AND GTA LC (VC)

As for all the 1970's Portland Stuff... t'was part of Lacasinina (3 City Mod, Inc LC and Carcer City)

 

However, Carcer and Lynx city are still incredibly early stages and liberty is already ingame wink.gif

Yes. Like making a clone of the game, and of course a clone of Renderware to go along with this. Basically allowing the ability to modify and distribute your own GTA exe freely.

Untold Stories was not doing what I wanted in the end. It started off well, remaking Liberty City's buildings one-by-one using SA:LC as a base (This was what I wanted). With a new 1980's based storyline. Me and Nabo decided 1980's was not correct for Liberty City, and it would be impractical when considering vehicles, so we changed it to 1997.

 

Then Nabo started to want to change things (Nothing wrong with it, he just wanted to express himself more, rather than remaking other peoples ideas). He decided to make completley new lots, using the GTAIII road system. Then he changed his mind about the road system, saying he didn't want to use old stuff, to be honest I didn't really like the idea of a completley new Liberty City. So I started to get less involved, and Nabo would make a building, then decide he didn't like it, so scrap it. At the end of the day, we weren't getting anywhere fast and Nabo wanted to move on, so we stopped work.

 

I am very pleased that Monitor is doing what US:LC started out, and I think his buildings are spectacular, and each one looks individual. Me and Hollaz will be making new textures based on the originals (I have deleted most of my texture library to stop what was happening with US:LC, where all buildings looked the same).

 

Anyway, we have big ideas, and they seem achievable. Monitor has some amazing skills, both with buildings and cars. If anyone wants to pitch in feel free, we won't be making any big changes, so it will feel very LC. We will be using the Xbox Claude too.

Thats exactly what we are now doing with SA:LC

Try to make all polies quads, if that doesn't help try reseting x-form or merge it to new scene, maybe that would help.

Indeed flashg is right about reset Xform. Basically your object seems corrupted, maybe a wrong saved or recovered part of the mesh. It's real common when working on multiple merged triangles meshes then heavily modified.

 

If reset xform does not fix the problem, delete the incriminated polygons or verts to get rid of the faulty area. Also you'd better merge the object into another scene to continue your work on if any other important models in this one are not backed-up.

Anyways, i've a backup of this scene but more old than this one...i will see !
