nabo45
@EvilRaptor: I'm not working on Gostown because when they started Gostown6, they changed their idea of what mod it was supposed to be. Before they changed, it was a paradise mod, set in a city that reminded me of Singapore, which is a true paradise. Now they want a mod, on a tropical island with New York as a city. @Hick: That's a really great model, what tool did you use to make it? @Xrk: Awesome model, though the textures would need some work . hick
thanks all of you guys I used 3ds max 2008 and photoshop CS3. I am starting to find mapping textures easy now, before i dreaded the process but now i don't. Ahh better get back to work on it then. Oh and any suggestions to what building i should make next, preferbly from the simpsons Oh and XRK, nice building it'd look even better if you textured it Edited April 28, 2008 by hick

xrk
Looking good hick, reminded me of the drunken clam I did a year or two ago. Ahaha lol Out of curiosity why? Oh and XRK, nice building it'd look even better if you textured it Tbh I used solid colours because it was a model from a cartoon. lighting does shading so where's the need for anything else? I never aimed to try to make it look real or anything just a low poly copy edit; hmm I s'pose there's the bricks actually looking at it now, theres a few things I missed. It was a long while ago though Edited April 30, 2008 by xrk
derty
Looking for texture artists for textures and people who live in Philadelphia for research and ground-level reference photography. This is going to be the best and biggest mod for GTA so far, being the first to actually treat it like a real sequel. It will die without help. Because I'm not silly enough to do it alone. Map layout is strong and I have been throwing together concepts for a very talented graphics artist to work on a beta radar/map-style image, no names yet unless he sees fit to hop in here and tell me how I'm too slow with this step Edited April 30, 2008 by derty
Hollaz
Looking neat, derty! Have you tried Google Maps for street references? it's not that specific, but it could work. (Street-View.)
derty
Yea, definitely. I was raving about it in IRC a few months back; I just hit a wall with it with these buildings. Go check out liberty place, philadelphia PA on there. Those f*ckers drove right around the best buildings in Philly! bastards! lol. SO yea, I kinda hit a brick wall with them, but that is a valuable tool for sure.

dizturbd
Looking good, guys. I've recently been learning 3ds Max and here is a block of buildings I ended up with for a school project. The texturing is going to be very simple work since I have to have this project done by Thursday. Here's a peak... Rawra
nice tracks, EVJ mr.blonde: I will give you some constructive critisism:: * The rooftop looks pretty good * The textures are pretty..lame imo. * the actual building looks pretty unrealistic (unless you're using a pic as a reference) *doors look pretty wierd I hope you dont think I am giving out to you or nagging you, but it's just a few things you might want to take into account so that you can really improve the model. I take it you are a beginner at modelling?
