JasonB 0
@Gravity; You could make the trees an XRef onject and create a really low-poly proxy, that way it shouldnt lag max. @Opius: That looks awesome, is it for Myriad?
Opius 9
No, it's the project I talked about at the Myriad Dev. forum.

Cran. 1
Man Opie, that looks great. Be nice in Myriad, but I know its not going to happen. @GT1 I saw that a while ago, apperntly its mostly converted from Mafia.

GT-1 2
Altogether half of its scratch made if not three quaters and the other part is from Mafia. Authors include Jcab, illspirit, TGR, ODIE, blaer, Daven and Chickenplucker. They all created scratch mods, Jcab has done alot of the roads and scenery but alot of what I posted was from Mafia thats just part of the mod.
rabbit123 0
Are they still working on it because its been going along time and it still hasnt had a public beta Also is it for the LC total conversion?

quietloud 0
Goodhi, I'm kinda new to modelling, and have spent most of my time just spectating the forums and installing other peoples mods. This picture post topic was a good idea mon, now I can show off my crappy modelling skills to the community. Well anyways, so far I've made a Skatepark that sits on Ocean Beach, and my current project is a motocross mountain. I have also spent some time modelling off road cars to replace the BF Injection, seeing as it has the fewest dummies, but this is hardly the place to post them. I have managed to get both map mods in vice, but the motocross mountain has no texturing, and that makes geometry hard to define ingame. The Halfpipe/Skatepark thing is good fun; I have designed the ramps so that they do not go completely vertical, as on other completely vertical ramps, you go off them and land back inside the ramp on the flat. (with this you can land back in the transition with ease). Well, I'm pondering on a release for the skatepark, I guess I could add some more obstacles to the land. But this motocross mountain i'm making will be released, I've still got a lot to do, and I'm gonna try and make it as fun as possible. Things on the checklist will be, Tunnels, underground parts, water features, jumps, bumps, humps, lumps, Vertigo (height), trap sections, hidden areas, banked curves, grindable objects, hmm and trees. I dunno where It's gonna go on the map just yet, so far I've been testing it on the beach, but for water features, it has to at least be partially out at sea (oh yeah, and its for Vice only). Well anyway, below are pics of the skatepark, followed by pics of the motocross mountain: Edited January 18, 2005 by quietloud
GT-1 2
Scale the wood texture down as it looks too large by looking at the grain. Otherwise looks good for first trys at modelling.

Appleyard 0
Its not a map but its a building, i'm not very good at modeling with sketchup yet thats like my fourth thing i've done with it but owell. And just a question, what modeling tools to make maps and stuff do you guys use?
-GRAVITY2- 1
loooks ok. I personally use 3ds max 6 or 7 to make my map mods. Its difficult to learn but once you get it its great.
