How on earth can this be a good idea ? blink.gif This topic will grow to 1000 pages in no time. Wouldn't it be better if people presented their projects by creating new posts ? This will probably be the last time I ever visit the map mods showroom. My 56k modem can't handle this. confused.gif And even if it did, I'm not interrested in this kind of stuff. I'm interrested in projects, not pictures.

wow man, love it.. we gotta talk...

but also, typical of me i spotted polywaste:

not everything has to be included in the mesh wink.gif if the object is dug into the mesh like a hole, then include it (obviously) but if the object comes out of the mesh, dont join it up to the rest, make a new low poly object and just place it over the top! a great technique of mine that works a beuty wink.gif

apart from that looks good, now get on msn cos im addin u! sigh.gif

Bah... From 171 polies to 148 polies. sigh.gif

Thanks for the tips... They might become useful.

And I'm not going to change that ground-thingy, because I would lost my little elevations.

Pretty nice, Gravity, but as mentioned earlier, too high poly and IMO the renders are too blurry.

Hum... Not much updates from me, but it's something. Ignore the stretched road textures.

Wow thats very nice! wow.gif

@ gravity Since msn is not good enough for you ill say it here to, looks pretty cool, could use some noise modifier and then the optimize modifier.

It could use some more polys yea, but at least at Smooth Modifier (not MeshSmooth)... it makes it look smoother without adding polygons... might be bumpy when u ride it but does look better...

"smooth" modifier doesnt work on .3ds export, and meshsmooth will smooth the normals properly without adding any poly's, aslong as u dont tell it to do any ilterations wink.gif

Yeah. But is there any way I could smooth the mesh a bit?
