Interesting fact - You have to do 163 MPH to beat one AND more than half are fake...

 

Anglia in particular is weird, 5 in Suffolk, 8 in Norfolk and 96 in Essex, this county is f*cked...

Nice work... there's like 20 of those in my city alone... probably hundreds in this whole f*cking country... put that f*cker ingame and make it damageble... I allways wanted to shoot these f*ckers... or put a cable around it and pull it out with my dad's hilux... rolleyes.gif

Theres some great work being done here! Keep the good stuff coming!

 

Heres my *cough*little mod I've been working on. I just build what ever I feel like on it, I might spend one day just tearing into it working on large things and the next day I might just tweak some textures. Its just stress relief for when I get sick of work. I was also thinking about putting everything I ever made on it as sort of a digatial portfolio but well see how that goes. Anyways heres some shots...

Right now its in Liberty City becuse I could tweak the helicopter ceiling with their exe tool so I could get up on it, the plan is to put it in Sanandy.

 

It will be cooler when I get the ropbridges and caves done turn.gif

Yeah there will be a vice version, not too soon though. I can't get zmod2 to export map dff's to SA. Ive done cars and stuff but my map models don't show up in game, just their collison models. So I'm mainly just doing the vice version now and worrying about converting it when the time comes. Theres still alot to do and I have to balance working on it, and my real life Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif . I posted some new pics in the Liberty City mod topic. I figured it made more sense to start one there, as it is in Liberty City.

I have managed to get it in 3dsmax and rendered the scene, but unfortunatly the textures wouldn't work, it only displays the color associated to the texture,

that requires more fiddling and research, because I really don't know what's wrong, the path to the textures is correct. Maybe it's my lack of knowledge..

 

BTW, please excuse me for double posting, as this is some sort of bump.

I will rise back from the modelling grave yard and kill you all with some new renders. Man i have had a modelling break cramp thing for a long time.

 

Hint: Read file names for clues for soon to come stuff.

Have a nice time converting that to Max/Zmod Superb@ll. What’s the total polycount so far? Quite a few people have mentioned that everything looks fairly low poly in Sketchup but can end up quite a bit more than expected when exported. That could be due to hidden polygons etc. though.

 

I made part of a city which as far as I can tell is slightly larger than yours and it was 6k in total, so I’m guessing yours will be under that a fair bit. I should upload some more renders sometime.

 

What size textures did you use? They look fairly detailed in the screens, though I’m not sure how sketchup handles them.

I just checked the polycount and it's 7k according to Sketchup, this includes 2k of useless gay dumbass faces which are dying to get removed. So it'll be around 5k then, hopefully tounge.gif

 

Well, I downloaded a high quality texture pack which I got from some quake mapping site, it's called BerneyBoy's site or something if you're interested. It's about 100 megs and it contains over 2000 seamless high quality textures (usually 512x512 of size). I used 512x512 textures for the building below. And 256x256 textures for the other buildings.
