Heres another update on gta rally,

Sorry about the pictures been dark dont know y that has happened, some setting on photoshop i guess. Having problems editings the UV mapping in zmod 2, simply dont know how to do it, so gunna have to export it back to zmod 1.07b to sort that out.

 

Just a little dispmapping/texturing (no use of patterns or anything like that, it's all 100% made by me) made in Photoshop CS and 3D Max 7.

The textures might look weird, I have the idea my monitor's brightness and contrast aren't set up to well... I didn't spend alot of time on the textures to, the ruts and other details could use some more work, but this is only a example i quickly made for a temp 'portfolio'. Hope you guys like it. biggrin.gif

 

 

There are way to many jumps for a track that size :\ I don't like it that much just because of that factor...

I take it, you'r not into motocross, actually this track is a supercross track. It's supposed to have alot of jumps, and the 3 long lanes with jumps are called 'rythem sections'. Just check this out... As a aussie you should know better... some of the best mx'ers are aussies...

 

Can someone guess what this is? First one to get it wins a Canadian shirt.

A house or bunker type of thing?

 

Edit: @cR: The setup of the track just doesn't look right... around the section that i have circled in the picture there are to many jumps,

I mean the rider would get air off on jump and hit the middle of the next jump :\ .

Indeed the rider will, if he loses his rythem... here's a example how to ride the first rythem section...

 

1. First you hit the double from the right side of the ramp.

2. On landing you let the rear hit the ground first while pressing the rear brake, then you jump ontop of the table-top.

3. As you'r front wheel reaches the top of the bump on the table-top you give more gas and pull your front up, lean forward, and bunnyhop to the next landingramp.

4. You pick up enough speed with the landing to jump the next triple.

5. Theres 3 more bumps you blitz over...

 

If a rider got that right he won't have any problem doing it... try to figure out the next one wink.gif

 

Supercross is HARD, alot of pro motocross riders just don't make it in supercross...

Usually they have a small straight run off area and don't have 14 (random number) jumps straight after each other generally.

 

Usually the straights are not that long which would mean fewer jumps also and if your looking into Motocross racing they usually have a few higher areas if its an outdoor event, whereas if its an indoor event it would be more ground based with jumps etc.

The entrance, will be across the street. It will act somewhat like an underground carpark, and the only way in, is through that carpark than into the bunker itself.

 

 

 

So what your saying is that there is an army bunker in the middle of suburbia? Right next to houses and main roads? For some reason it doesn't sound right tounge.gif .

Very nice indeed BH. It reminds me of GTA3.  I would very much like to see it textured. Btw, what's the polycount? 'Cause it doesn't seem too high. Which is good, cause it looks fine either way.  smile.gif

Woah thanks, and at least someone noticed I was after the GTA3/LC look. I'll probably use GTA3 textures too. And with the 3d windows/doors 2.5k faces, and with the possible use of textures instead of 3d it's probably 1k.
