Today was my first day of school of this second year so... something told me to just post a very wip pics about something ...

 

Testing lights using Skylight spot, just for fun...

Yeah, i'ven't internet since the 15 august, belgacom just put it today so ...

 

No, they show your map on the presentation in June, today they show a Captain Nemo Citadelle on the ps3, and on the psp, they show the map of Charline wink.gif

 

Good work on both anyways ...

Well i thouht hey i fancy modeling a bowl of frosties and then i realised how hard it was to model each indibidual flake so instead a nice bowl of porridge will do

now you man are modeling so random stuff that i just get awsomned of the form but thinking it well never in-game...what happend to the guy that made Carcer City HD!!!

I mean the maps section is pretty dead and carcer HD is kinda a bad idea anyways carcer city itself is stillin motion with missions ect but atm me and cold fusion have something very special on the way

Well, i finally finished my map. After alot of months of development its almost done.

 

I still have to find all the textures i have in my HD and finish the TXD tounge.gif

 

But you can see it already, thanks to preligthing:

Ony bug:

The models flashes! Appear/dissapiar if im moving close or far. Draw distance problem?? its default 300.

 

The rest is ok, exept 3 buildings that are not working ok, but should be easy to fix.

Looks sweet Goin, great to see its all going ingame smile.gif. About the models dissappearing when you get close the them, I had this problem with one of my models, the pivot was wayyy off the actual model, meaning SA was showing the LOD which was non existent anyway at the wrong time... I don't know if this will help, but oh well tounge.gif.

Center each object's pivot. then re-export, coordinates will change so does collision information.

Coin i know the problem is about Lods my brooklyn ending road is falshing sometimes when u rotate camera very fast

but after adding lod models it doesnt flash anymore thats couse the lod replaces the empty space at the time

of the disappear

Fixed the flashing things, (COL problem). But sometimes some models disappear and i fall! mercie_blink.gif

 

For example, i was walking around the Motel and the floor sudenly desapieared and i fell to the water.

 

Weird, maybe i should make LOD's, how do i make lods? I know i have to make a LQ version of the model, but how to "assign" it to the original model?

Few missing textures, im having problems with G-TXD, dosnt seem to add all the textures i tell it to add. I will have to add them manually.

 

Also fixed the bad buildings, i had the same buildings (old version) in my gta3.img and they were making a conflict with the ones im using from my IMG (biomap.img) blush.gif

 

I preligthed it with 12AM SF day time, looks ok at day. At night it looks very brigth like if it wasnt preligthed. (in SA)

Random pics of something on working on alone . D'ont know if i will export it ingame soon or not, it just some exercice to see how to update my modeling skills, and the polycount, keep a lot of details ... In those very earlier stage on developpement, i've something like 3 lots and the all scene is only 20k polys .

 

EDIT :

 

Here a small overview of the blocks . The Train Station have a Wip Interior, the same for one of the building which is on the corners of one street , which will be a Auto Repair Garage .

 

There are lot's of small paths between the building, lot of detainl will be add on them and on the building . Don't want to made a big city, but something really nice to see and to play with a small polycount smile.gif

Posted before but improved since.

 

This is a modern lounge in a historical dutch canal house. The white stairs symbolise the steps on top of the front facade. The interior has warm colors tot generate the old café feeling, only in a modern styling. It attracts immediate attention from by-passers because the warm inside contrasts the minimalist and cold style on the outside of the building.

 

Work in Progress.

needs to be done:

-Bumpmapping

-Interior top floors

-More detail buildings surrounding subject

This "town" is perfectly imaginated, but i take reference from building from NY for sure, and Chicago too ...the scene take place in the 50's, my plane is to made something looking a bit like "Mafia", but that just plane a all the work is only WIP...we will see if one days i take courage to put all that ingame .
