dr zoidberg
This is very good, but I have one question. Is the Infernus really 40km/h slower than the Stinger? Is this the "real" top speed or the potential top speed?
Jonny_Tightlips
This is very good, but I have one question. Is the Infernus really 40km/h slower than the Stinger? Is this the "real" top speed or the potential top speed? Try it out for yourself. Go to a long road in GTAIII, get each car you want to try out, figure out how to measure the street (try google) and then time your trials. See how long it takes for each to reach the end of the street, then take those answers and convert them into km/h equations. ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin. snaporaz
About how fast is the Borgnine? Is it the fastest car in the game? What is the fastest car in the game? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? lol But, seriously I want answers to the first 3 questions! Awesome guide, good job. As a serious Grand Theft Auto III fan (I think it is the best game besides Counterstrike : Source), I thank you very much for this guide. awesome. gta3 is my favourite game ever, with cs:source being my second favourite as well. cheers. anyways, to add some info on the borgnine...while doing taxi missions, the regular taxi would only give me eight or nine fares before i bumped into enough stuff that it was too trashed to take anymore passengers. and with the borgnine, i got a good 27 fares in a row with that bad-boy. so i think that says something about it's durability. or maybe i just drove better because of the better handling. also, i'd like to say thanks for this auto database. i was wondering what all the emergency vehicles were [wasn't sure about the barracks OL and the rhino]. Bartleby
Borgnine, what is that and where did you get it. The Borgnine Taxi is your reward for serving 100 customers in an ordinary taxi. It appears at a cab station in Portland. Image

Demarest
wtf is a 'monnbeam'? You need one for the Import Export Garage in Portland. You can find one parked at Greasy Joe's and another parked one block north of Toni's. Every now and then, one will be driving RIGHT in front of the docks
Twang.
I knew what a Moonbeam was. I was just pointing out that he spelt it wrong. 'monnbeam' In fact, I stole a Moonbeam several times today when playing GTA3.
Demarest
Didn't notice the spelling error. I just assumed that if you're posting in a pinned thread, that it was of on-topic significance

Jonny_Tightlips
You cannot hijack a train, and you cannot measure how fast it's going because it has an automatic setting. So if you can't hijack it, you can't firgure out it's stats. -d00d ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin.

PigManDan
Although I risk getting "told off" for "bumping" a thread... I need to know where I can find a bus. I have driven up and down every road of Liberty City, and I have not yet seen a bus once. I've seen coaches. I've tried driving the coach to see if a bus might pop up (like it might it San Andreas), but still, no bus has come my way. Are there bus stops in Liberty City and should I wait at one for a bus? Or is there somewhere buses usually show up? I would use search, but in my experience it doesn't work good enough (probably, according to some people, because i "can't use it properly"). So, could anybody tell me where I might find a bus?

So, could anybody tell me where I might find a bus? Don't worry about "bumping" -- this is a pinned thread so such concerns really don't apply; and your question applies enough the the topic that you shouldn't get too much grief. As for searching, I know from experience that searching the forums on this one is tough since "bus" is under the 4-character minimum; searching for "Flatbed," "Securicar," or "Trashmaster" might help though since these are all difficult I/E garage vehicles to find and advice on getting them outside of missions generally applies to all of them. Anyhow, the bus has no parked locations. If you are looking in a game after Staunton Island is opened, some good locations for buses on the road are around the stadium and on the Callahan Bridge. It also seems easier to find one if you are driving one of the other "big" vehicles -- Linerunner, Coach, Flatbed, Securicar, and Trashmaster. Grab one of these vehicles (the Coach and Linerunner both have parked locations in Portland) and then just drive around these areas keeping your eyes peeled. If you are looking in a game before Staunton is opened then some good locations to cruise are Chinatown, Trenton, and near the blocked Callahan Bridge. Either way, make sure you're comfortable because it might take some time before it shows up.
PigManDan
Thanks.. I managed to find a bus by driving a securicar I miraculously found somewhere. Now, I need a securicar. See, I was driving the securicar back to the docks, then I saw a bus, and figured, the bus seems to be more rare, I'll take that and easily find another securicar. I was wrong. So wrong. Now I'm driving up and down every road again (in a coach, sometimes in a tank) but securicars seem impossible to find. I should have taken it to the i/e garage when I had the chance dammit.
