I've got a question about the paintjobs and how (if possible) to change the colors of different parts of paintjobs. I got a little extra cash yesterday (after completing High Stakes, Low-Rider), so I put 2X Nitrous, a new coat of maroon paint, and some Twist rims on my Remington, now codenamed Project D.L. What I want to know is, is there any way you can change the color of the flames/ETC that you can put on a car, and if so, how can it be done? I've seen the Remington with the green and black paintjob on it that was posted on here earlier, but whenever I preview a paintjob on my Remington, it replaces the (solid) color that I have on there in the first place. Do I have to buy the paintjob first and then it gives me a second color choice in the regular paint menu? I could use some information on that, since I've got the perfect paintjob scoped out for Project D.L., as long as I can tweak it to my liking! The Doomite Is Out!

There are a LOT of sweet mods you guys have!

 

I've only modded one car...a Lowrider back when I was just startin off in Los Santos.

 

I don't know why I haven't modded more.. probably because not many missions LET you use a modded car (at least not as a big getaway car or something )

 

But I still have to complete the last part of Driving school!

 

 

 

 

 

But my question is... what is the Mod Shop that lets you mod like EVERYTHING? lol... like the Quads, Trucks, etc etc!? Is it Transfender? Wheel Arch Angles? or what

blah the only thing I can do is change the paint colour, and a stereo system boost, nitro, and hydrolics...do you unlock more later in the game? I'm on the mission "Farewell my Love" ...how much longer will it take to unlock more stuff?

yeah like you said, put the flames/ricers on first, then place any other solid colour on top of that, it then mixes the two colours and there you have a remington with a sick new paint job. For example, you choose falmes, add red/ pink, the flames become a lot more visable, and the black goes darker, looks sweet.

OK, I can`t put my digital camera photos in my PC so I`ll just give you some details and if you wanna see how it looks just give it a try :

1. Remington :

- Paint job : number 3 I think, the one with the blue flames designs.

- Colour : choose between green or any lighter green, that way it will make the flame colour into a green colour.

- All accecories are in chrome except for the "Misc" section, I choose the one that put a skull on top of your bumper.

- Put 10X Nitro on it.

- No hydraulics cos` I`m not fond with hydraulics.

- The wheels are "Classic"

 

2. Slamvan :

- Paintjob : I choose the one that got multicoloured flame design.

- Colour : I blend the design with the pink colour. It makes the flame goes purple and the main colour of the car to become light orange. Really cool under the sunlight.

- All accecories are in chrome.

- No hydraulics

- 10X Nitro

- The wheels are "Wires"

 

The Remington is the same I car I used during the gang war stuffs with the Ballas and all that. So it`s been through a lot of sh*t with me that`s why I make it my official gang riding and dating car. It almost blew up once, but I manage to get it to paint and spray before it did. And the Slamvan, I got it by importing it ( before that of course I export it first ), so it pretty much looks like any original Slamvan on the streets.

SanAn would be sooo much better if it just had slightly better modding. Like custom paint jobs and decals, a few more spoilers and side skirts, etc.

It's a curse; we always want more, nothing is enough.

 

Let's just be grateful that car modding was indeed included in the game, and leave the improvements for later games of the series. M'kay?

To PCJ1200: Thanks man, I spent some more dough last night on getting the "straight" (not sure of the official part name right now) chrome wheel arches for Project D.L. As soon as I get more cash, I'm gonna try that paint layer thing on it, see if I can get what I'm aiming for.

 

To OdDsOcK: I was smart enough to take a picture of Project D.L. right after I jacked it and let it repair itself in CJ's garage. As soon as I can get my images from my memory card into my computer. I'll be posting the pics of Project D.L.'s progress. I'm planning on creating a web page devoted to my modded rides as part of "GTA: San Andreas Gone Haywire" anyway (coming soon, I promise!). You're right, I hereby officially nullify the rule stating that you must post the car before it was modded.

 

However, the reason I did so was so we could stimulate people's imaginations. They would need to think and create brand new rides, instead of using older ones.

Ack, I need help: how do you mod the quadbike? I took one to transfender in doherty and it said 'You cannot mod this vehicle.' Yes I am sure it is a Quadbike and not a BF Injection or anything else.
