Clinton Portis had 5.8 yards a carry last week, against a team that is very good against the run. Therefore, Portis > Almost everyone.

In other Redskins news, this quarterback thing is a f*cking mess. Gibbs should have opened the competition and made Brunell the starter in preseason when he outperformed Ramsey. That would have saved the entire region a whole lot of grief.

Campbell>Brunell>Ramsey

Sorry, but I have felt your time.

D Jones remebers Ryan Leaf, Chad Hutchinson, Clint Stoerner and Tony Banks

Quincy Carter was good, until he had his problems.

Don't talk about Griffin losing games for you. If that's the case, then you guys should release Jake Plummer, the idiot who thinks he can throw with both arms.

Lol, wasn't half of his INT's from him throwing with his left hand?

The Bears are terrible against the runs. They're one of the most overrated defenses in the league, and that's mostly because of Urlacher. Urlacher is talented and versatile, but he isn't the kind of player that makes an entire team do well (see: Ray Lewis).

Chicago was infact, 25th against the run last year. They allowed 4.1 yards a carry and 128.1 yards a game

Some more bears news, former 1st round pick Mark Colombu was cut. The bears have set the new record for "most first round busts picked by a team ever."

I do think the Bears have upside, especially on offense (which does sound weird... I know). I'm a fan of Kyle Orten, and I still think he was the best QB in the draft, and Cedric Benson will be running through 300-pound defenders for 10+ years with the Bears.

And, I still think the Browns own the record for most first round busts. Besides Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow, they don't have any of their first rounds from the last five or six years. And Braylon's just in his first year and Kellen Winslow is on the verge of being a bust. Poor Browns... I blame Butch Davis though, so things should get better now that he's gone.

Oooook... Last year, if you've noticed, over half of Jake's INTs were from deflections of the receivers hand, especially the last game againt the chargers... You'r also saying get rid of McNabb, the SB and the last game, so its not that...

Meh. I'll say it again, 5 yards on 4 runs with one of the 4 being for 3 of the yards. Their prodigy blows balls.

I agree. Plummer is alright but he is far from a great quarterback that Denver was known to have from 1983-1998. Griese wasn't that hot either.

So they have lost 3 or 4 rookies in the past 5 or 6 years? I wouldn't say that sucks. Players get traded and dropped so much.

The Broncos have 67 players listed on their website; 44 of them were acquired in 04 or 05, with 25 of them being 05 pickups.

What part of "first round bust" don't you understand?

What part of guys get traded all the time don't you get? Since you seem to be stuck on the first round bust thing I looked into it further.

Broncos have 5 of their first round picks. 3 of which are from the last 5 years. George Foster, Ashley Lelie and D.J. Williams. The others being 99 and 97 picks, Al Wilson and Trevor Pryce.

Just Winslow and Edwards huh?

Did you forget about Jeff Faine (2003's 21st overall round 1 pick) to the Browns?

How about William Green (2002's 16th overall round 1 pick) to the Browns?

Looking like they have kept all but Gerard Warren (2001's 1st round pick) in the last 5 years. And to take on the issue of the lone wolf Gerard was just recently traded to the Broncos this year.

To cover my bases if you say "Well I said 6 years too". 2000's round 1 went to Denver this year also.

So two of the last 6 first rounds have just recently left the team (with 4 and 5 years served on the team) while 44 of the players on the Denver Broncos roster have been aquired in the last two years. Two of the 44 being the two first rounds that left the Browns.

And I wouldn't call either of them busts for any reason.

Courtney Brown - Started all 16 games as a rookie in 2000, posting a career-best 90 tackles with 4.5 sacks and a team-high 25 quarterback pressures.

Gerard Warren - Provided the Browns a constant interior pass rush during his four seasons with the club, recording 16.5 career sacks in 59 starts at defensive tackle.

Eclipsed the five-sack mark in two separate seasons with a career-high 5.5 sacks in 2003 and five sacks during his rookie year in 2001.

What? I honestly have no idea what you're going on about. We were talking about first round busts, and it's very well known that the Browns have had the most busts of any team since coming into the league. I didn't research my point... because that would be pathetic. There's no reason to prove a point that is so obviously true. Tim Couch, Courtney Brown, Gerrard Warren, William Green, and Kellen Winslow have all been busts with Jeff Faine being very unimpressive up to this point (and I'm a Notre Dame fan... I know Jeff Faine well). It was said that the Bears have had the worst luck with first-rounders, I told him it was actually the Browns. Then you come in with this "players are traded all the time" bullsh*t, which has nothing to do with the conversation. Please, keep these outbursts to yourself.

Couch has been OUT of the NFL for nearly a year. The Browns got rid of him then he went to Green Bay then they released him and now hes not in the NFL.

Lol, thank god. He was ruining the whole purpose of a QB.

Browns have a few 1st round bust, but who doesn't?

This isnt a bust but my team the Dolphins wasted a bunch of picks on none other then Ricky Williams. I dont remember the picks they gave the Saints but, talk about a bust. With Williams we didnt make the playoffs once (mostly because of the Pats but still) then he leaves our team 2 weeks before training camp opens last year. I saw him at the '05 HOF induction game in Canton and he sucked. To me hes been good at times but a huge disappointmen and bust.

if your refering to dan marino he never played with ricky williams, the QB that played with Williams was Jay Fiedler whos currently the Jets backup

That's why the Dolphins have pretty much sucked the past years without him dozingoff.gif ?

that was sarcasm. you place miami's woes on ricky when it clearly should be on their lack of a qb. ricky has been great wherever hes been, great runner up the middle and able to catch the ball out of the backfield. by your logic, barry sanders isnt great b/c he hasnt been to many playoffs?

Cowboys V Redskins Monday night.

We should make a friendly bet on it, Biggie.

Maybe something where the loser has to wear a sig saying that their team was owned by the other. smile.gif

And I provided you with facts and stats that explain how you are wrong.

They are not busts at all. I think the definition of bust you are using to describe them is this one: A failure; a flop. But if they were failures coming off the draft they would be traded. Point is that until this year they had all 5 of their first round picks in the last 5 years. You said...

That's just idiotic. I don't even need to argue it... because it's just so stupid.

Isn't it funny how Javon Walker bitches about a contract, and missed half of Camp? Now look at him, he doesn't get to play until next year confused.gif .

What the f*ck? Nothing to say about your original post being proven wrong? You have to begin taking stabs at anything but what you originally stated?

I really don't care. That was completely besides the point, which was the Browns' first round busts. You're so hung up on trying to win an argument, that you've forgot what the original discussion was about in the first place. I must thank you though. You've given me some good laughs, and I could use it after a tough loss to Michigan State.
