Was any of that post directed at me? Well just in case it was, it need not be, because I haven't made any anti- T.O statements. You're probably talking about the "trying to get under the skin of the orginization" part I guess. If so then you'll notice I prefaced it by saying "Good for T.O" The thing I don't understand is why he just doesn't make a big donation instead of auctioning the ring.

EAGLES SUPERBOWL XL CHAMPIONS

Mark my words.

Lol, that won't happen.

McNabb isn't a SB type of QB. He was obivously nervous at the SB, and I think he will be one of those Willie Beanmen type of QB's. He is good, but I don't think he is good when it's on the line.

Lol, I am sure he will be bitching about that ring once he never wins a SB ring lol.gif .

But I do believe he will come out of that experience of last years SB a better QB. As long as they don't face a quite as potent defence as the Patriots unit, they could win a Superbowl. But even then, if they do come up against such a unit, I think it will be just as close a game, and luck may swing their way.

@ D Jones: Yes, sadly, Randy Moss may be one of those incredible players who never wins a SB ring. Just the luck of the draw, although I believe he had a better chance with the Vikings. -MDG

Donnvan McNabb to me is a great QB, but cant finish. Ex: the last games of last season (didnt matter, didnt have t.o.) but had LJ Smith Chad Lewis Freddy Mitchell and Todd Pinkston, plus he had Brian Westbrook outta the backfield. Hes good but I dont think he will win a super bowl. This year i pick the Colts. Y? because they upped theyre mediocre defense, and last i checked they still have Peyton Manning along with Harrison, James, Wayne, and Clark. Colts Super Bowl Champs '06

Lol, then what's the difference between the Colts & the Eagles? Colts choked in the playoffs like they have the past 2 years.

Colts have a young defense, not a medicore.

And, if the defense can be taught well over the next few years, experience will help them become a unit such as the Pats defence. As they are mostly young, they should develop a sense of camraderie off the field, which will help them communicate and execute on the field. If they base their defense on QB pressure, it will help the secondary a helluva lot. Dwight Freeney certainly proved that with 16 sacks last year. THe defense went much better last year, and this may be ecause of that stat. 27.5 sacks were made overall by the starting front 4, and don't forget Philly's Corey Simon who clocked up 5.5 and will be backing up Larry Triplett, and that helped the secondary execute. They might seem like stats solely for the front 4, but they certainly helped raise thise defense.

I can think of two teams who choked in the playoffs last year. Colts and Steelers, both with great seasons, but they choked a lot more than Philly. -MDG

Ugh, I don't see anyone else auctioning their rings for anything. I don't even see anyone EXCEPT the NFL (the guys upstairs) as a whole donating a dollar. Then again, I didn't follow who was donating what exactly.

Anyway, yea, McNabb is so gonna choke again.. seeing as how he didn't get through last year's experience and obviously still suffers from 'first time in the Superbowl jitters' and, of course, the Eagles don't have the best defense in the NFC and they don't have a QB who doesn't throw to everyone who's open and yea, McNabb is so gonna get tired and choke and let some other team win by three points and if you haven't notice this was a very sarcastic and long run-on sentence, so yea, we'll see when Superbowl 'Extra Large' comes around.

Don't be upset because the Cowboys will go 0-16 just like the Redskins. Yea, I said it.

T.O. will do or say anything to stay a headline. Who the hell would want to buy a conference championship ring...and from him of all people? He's got issues....its not like its a super bowl ring. However, I do applaud his effort to help those folks out.

There have been plenty of nfl guys doing good stuff for Katrina relief. You must really be on T.O.'s dick if you think he's the only player in the NFL doing anything for Katrina victims. The guy is an egotistical asshole with an load of that gets over shadowed by his childish antics.

As for McNabb, if the Eagles stay healthy they will go back to the big game. They are clearly the best team in the NFC. If they go back McNabb won't choke again. He'll have learned what he needed to last season and will improve. Show me another QB who has made the overall improvements then McNabb has in the last 5 years? Maybe Brady, but thats it. Vick can run til his legs break off and Manning can throw 500 yds every game but individual accomplishments got neither of their teams any closer to a SB win last year.

I ain't even gonna bother with a long post.

#1. His ring went from $81,000 to $302,000 in just a day with 8 and a half days left. Something tells me,.. people want his ring. He, most likely, doesn't want it because he didn't even play in the game. He's too proud a man.

I'm assuming that ring will sell for $1,000,000+ by the time the auctioning is done. If that is so, then T.O. would do more for the tragedy than the NFL's big boys upstairs.

#2. Recognizing the facts places me on Terrell Owens' dick? How so? I read the Daily News' sports section every single day and when you see the NFL and Katrina mentioned on the same page, all I see is the NFL's million dollar donation and T.O.'s trips to the Southern states visting those affected. Hell, I don't write the papers but those who do didn't mention any other big names. Not my problem. I'm sure this is just one of his selfish antics again.. and I must be on his dick for noticing his efforts.

#3. Yes, Eagles are going to have a great season. Many teams will. If we make the Superbowl this year than you can bet your ass McNabb isn't going to choke. I can say McNabb choked simply because it was the Superbowl and you'll say 'well other QBs went to the Superbowl and didn't choke' but tell me this. What QB went to the NFC Championship game four years in a row, lost three straight and in the fourth won and went to the Superbowl? That, itself, is extremely climactic. You can't blame McNabb for being nervous. He finally made it. If you went down that path, you'd sh*t bricks just as well.

#4. This is a lot longer than I wanted it to be. Congrats, lol.

T.O. is a attention whore, and wants the attention. He is doing a great thing by selling it, but like Kapone said, he didn't even play in the game. If I had enough money, I would honestly buy it myself. Who wouldn't?

Cowboys, 0-16? No. Redskins, 0-16? No. Parcells or Gibbs won't allow that.

Cowboys, 9-7 or 10-6.

Redskins, 7-9 or 6-10.

And if he wants to be known as the best Wide Receiver today, who are you all to try and stop him?

It's his right to do whatever he wants and whether you like it or not, he does face the consequences of his actions.

The facts are there. He's incredibly talented on the field and I'll be the first to tell you I don't condone all of his actions.. but they are his choices, not ours. If he wants to take a sharpie out on the field again after props were banned, that would be his choice. If he wants to stand on the Dallas star again, it's his choice.

You can hate his personality but he is talented and he is what the Eagles needed to get them over that hump. What can stop them now? Best AND fastest defense in the NFC combined with one of the most unorthodox (that means they mix it up a little (in a positive sense) UNLIKE Patrick Ramsey and his accidental inconsistencies) offenses in the league. What can stop them this year?

Sure, when I say Cowboys or Redskins will go 0-16, it's obviously a joke and not meant to be taken seriously. The only team capable of going 0-16 is the 49ers but that may change if their rookie QB has anything to say about it.

Kyle Orton just fubled away the Bears chance at winning. The funniest part of the game though was when they had a first down at the Washington 34 with 5 minutes left and down by 2. A field goal would have put them ahead, but they got 3 false start penalties in a row and then a sack and ended up with a 4th and 38 in their own territory. They are just awful sad.gif

Oh the agony..Bears will suck this year. Rookie QB's never have a good year. Ben Roethilsberger only had a good year last year because of the Pittsburg defense and the solid offenslive line and running. If Ben was on any other team other then Steelers..he would of sucked.

I hope Cardinals do good this year, I'm digging their jerseys biggrin.gif 10-7 right now in favor of Cardinals..man I love underdogs.

Eli Manning isn't doing too well. Two interceptions already. Getting sacked a lot. Giants defense is tearing Warner up though. We'll see what happens during the second half.

And yes, Cardinals' jerseys are beautiful.

My 'Boys won. Chargers played good, but Cowboys just played better. Cowboys = Playoffs.

How about that Willie Parker for the Steelers. They now have Bettis,Staley and Parker. Wtf are they going to do?

And can anyone else agree that they Jets are seriously overrated?

Well the Giants sure did comeback.

At the half it was Cards 13, Giants 7 but the Giants changed that with an absolutely AWESOME defense to make the final score Giants 42, Cards 19.

I mean, Warner played f*cking horrible in the second half. In the third quarter, in like a five minute timespan, he wasted all three timeouts because most of the offense wasn't playing the same play..

Cardinals played the first half golden and second half like garbage.

All we got left tonight is Colts / Ravens and then it's EAGLES VS. FALCONS MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

YEAH!

Lol, and "experts" thought that Kurt Warner would turn the Cardinals around. Didn't they say that when he was with the Giants?

The guy needs to go back to Iowa and be the manager of Buy For Less, because he is making himself look badder each year.

It really doesn't matter who the Broncos plug in at running back because their system and offensive line just build them, but they will regret going with the less patient running back Tatum Bell, who relies on his speed and his speed only to make up for what he lacks in total field awarness.

Their biggest mistake was getting rid of Portis. He is a better running back then anyone they have now. However, I don't think anyone could touch the amazing TD. He could take nothing and make it something.

Mike Anderson will be over 1500 this year, count on it bitches...

I don't think so. 5 yards on 4 carries with one of those carries being for 3 of the 5 yards. Not looking too good for him!

B) All aspects of the Redskins starting roster asides from Ramsey have looked great this preseason. Go watch some of the tape if you don't believe me.

I'm sorry, but the Giants will most likely finish last in the division.

Yeah I could see how preseason is a valid means of arguing and all. sigh.gif Your team that you say is going to take it or come in second next to the Eagles was last (1-3 record) in the preseason while the team you say will get last, the Giants, tied for first with Dallas (3-1). Also Denver was the only team to go undefeated yet lost in their season opener to the (4-12 2004 season, 1-4 2005 preseason) Miami Dolphins. The Indianapolis Colts went 0-5 in the preseason, yet they beat the Baltimore Ravens (one of the better defenses in the league) 24-7. The Kansas City Chiefs went 0-4 in the preseason, yet they destoryed the 3-1 preseason New York Jets 27-7.

eBay link

Current bid: $81,000.00

They took it down and restarted it "due to fraudulent bidding". No bids as of yet. Sitting at $25,000 starting bid. But the thing I don't get is that "The Terrell Owens Foundation" has 0 feedback on eBay and is in Atlanta, Georgia while he is from Alexander City, AL, went to school at Tennessee-Chattanooga and plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. breadfish_by_Moto.gif

EAGLES SUPERBOWL XL CHAMPIONS

Mark my words.

If I lived near you I would bet you they don't take it this year. I would also bet they start out the season 0-1.

#1. His ring went from $81,000 to $302,000 in just a day with 8 and a half days left. Something tells me,.. people want his ring. He, most likely, doesn't want it because he didn't even play in the game. He's too proud a man.

Nah. I am sure it was just a bunch of asshats trying to jump the bid up to insane numbers. If it is a legit auction, see above comments, then I will predict it's sale and amount. $125,000 (MAX) to Golden Palace. Probably closer to the $50-75k range though.

Ben Roethilsberger only had a good year last year because of the Pittsburg defense and the solid offenslive line and running. If Ben was on any other team other then Steelers..he would of sucked.

The running I will give you. Maybe. They were second in rushing yardage but they had 41 touchdowns on the season 5 came from defense while 20 were passing and 16 were rushing. More touchdowns thrown than ran in, hence Ben was a bigger part of scoring then any runners.

Their defense was number one in the league (tied for number 5 on turnover difference) so that did have an effect on their season.

You cannot deny he is a legendary quarterback in the making after yesterday's sophmore opener for him:

0 interceptions - Only 8 of the other 29 starting quarterback accomplished this feat and only one had the same or less expierience (in parenthesis) than BR; Tom Brady(6), Byron Leftwich(3), J.P. Losman(2), Tim Rattay(6), Drew Bledsoe(13), Joey Harrington(4) and Payton Manning(8). Aaron Brooks(7) also went without a touchdown so I didn't really include him.

2 touchdowns - 14 of the 30 starting accomplished this or more but only 6 others did with no interceptions and with the exception of Leftwich and Harrington have at least three times more NFL expierience; Tom Brady(6), Byron Leftwich(3), Tim Rattay(6), Drew Bledsoe(13), Joey Harrington(4) and Payton Manning(8)

218 yards - 15 of the 30 starting accomplished this or more but only 4 others did with no interceptions and 2 touchdowns; Tom Brady(6), Byron Leftwich(3), Drew Bledsoe(13) and Payton Manning(8)

9 of 11 (82%) - Had the highest completion percentage for anyone who scored over 2 touchdowns with no interceptions. Over the likes of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Bledsoe and Joey Harrington. He also placed third overall behind Arnaz Battle who threw 2/2 for 27 yards for the 49er's and Matt Jones who threw 1/1 for 6 yards for Jacksonville.

I hope Cardinals do good this year, I'm digging their jerseys  biggrin.gif  10-7 right now in favor of Cardinals..man I love underdogs.

Gonna be kind of hard to go 10-7 with only 16 games isn't it? tounge.gif

You are referring the NFL Cardinals, the ones that gave the 2004 San Francisco 49er's their only 2 wins last year and went 6-10 themselves, right? I don't see a winning season this year.

@ Broncos - What did I tell you guys. They are one of the only teams who can f*ck up an easy schedule. f*cking disappointing really.

No, he meant 10-7. The score of the Giants / Cardinals game in the 2nd Quarter (the time he posted) was 10-7, Cards. smile.gif

Tricky, tricky.

THE RAMS LOST TO THE 49ERS. The hell is going on here? I'm loving it.

THE JETS WERE DESTROYED BY THE CHIEFS. It was like 27-0 'til the last 30 seconds of the game.

THE STEELERS.. WELL THE STEELERS DID WHAT THE STEELERS DO.

Awesome day, I say.

I truly doubt Eagles would lose tonight (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!) to the Falcons. That's ridiculous. What's Vick gonna do? He has no go-to guy and all he can do is break a couple runs before he breaks his face. One day he will break his face, I assure you of that.

1. I was concerned for a second. Glad you explained that part.

2. I f*cking loved this game for the simple fact one of my buddies is a Rams fan. This was even worse than the Broncos loss.

3. Wasn't it 2003 when they went 11-0 to start off the season? Chiefs are a tough team that switches their third, fourth and fifth letters before playoffs to "oke".

4. As I said and presented with facts, Ben is a legend in the making.

5. That reminds me of this funny story involving us playing our season in Madden 06'. My buddy Derek always drafts Vick and is predictible as hell. Rollout and either toss to someone or keep running. Well he had to play another buddy Pat. And Pat had been hitsticking the sh*t out of Vick trying to injure him. Finally, Vick gets layed the f*ck out, fumbles the ball (Pat gets the recovery and gets tackled), auto timeout called for Vick's head injury (More than likely a few games out (if not season) which would completly f*ck Derek's season) and Pat jumps up to laugh in Derek's face but upon coming back in contact with the ground from the stomp the disc in the XBOX skips and the system shuts off. f*cking hilarious how pissed he was at himself. lol.giflol.giflol.gif

You're referring to the league...I was referring to players.

2. You seem to be a T.O. fan, to which you're entitled. Why anybody would support this guy is beyond my understanding. Painting him as some sort of saint is what places you in the vicinity of his jockstrap. I respect his talent & ability on the field but as a man I find him repulsive.

Recognizing the facts places me on Terrell Owens' dick?

Exactly what facts were you recognizing? The auction is fact the rest is your opinion so I gave you mine.

Daily Times...of which city? The Philly Daily Times is garbage. But really that is irrelevant. Yesterday on the pregame shows there were numerous stories of players & whole teams doing various things for Katrina victims. Actually, every player from the south or that went to a southern school should be doing something to help Katrina victims. Hell every athlete should be doing something and giving something. Nobody should get a medal for playing their part. They all get paid way too much money for something as mundane as playing a sport.

Bottom line, T.O. is doing what he should do for those people. Especially since he's the jackoff who was sitting on national television a few weeks ago crying about how he "only makes 12 millions dollars" under this contract. Give me a f*cking break.

All I know is long posts suck more the T.O. does at life. lol.gif

Also, is anyone impressed with the Lions beating the Packers? I think this might be Harringtons break out season.

I wasn't impressed by the Lions. The Packers are going to limp through this entire season. Nothing wrong with the way Harrington played, but we can't forget he was going up against a really weak defense. He truly has all the pieces surrounding him this year, but we'll see how he does after his bye week @Tampa, then at home against the Ravens and Panthers. Those games will really be a nice litmus test for him.

If Rodgers can stay healthy, and if Williams is good as people say, then they will be a good team, and an awesome team down the road.

I was at the Chiefs vs Jets game... Domination. KC stuffed the run (even with the loss of their starting DT), Larry Johnson ate up yards like PacMan, and at the end, Tony Gonzalez was catching everything thrown to him (not counting the blatant no-call Pass Interference)

Problem is, Chiefs lost Surtain in the 1st Quarter, lost their starting Left Tackle in the 1st to a hammy for a week or so, lost T Rich a ProBowl fullback for at least a week, and may have lost their starting DT Ryan Sims for the whole season. Motherf*ck.
