I also watched the pro bowl. The NFC kept throwing INTs. There was alot of dropped passes as well.

Yeah, that was probably where the game was lost. It is sometimes hard for the Pro Bowl Quarterbacks and Receivers alike, because they want continuity from their Quarterback, and the QBs want continuity from their receivers. It is hard when everyone needs to get a go in the Pro Bowl.

And when you play with receivers from other teams, you can both get confused, which leads to frustration, which leads to more confusing scenarios.

@ Dasutin: I fixed it. -MDG

Thought so. 3 touchdowns, and only 4 incompletions. He's just too good.

Well, the thing that stands out to me isn't the fact that he threw 3 TDs and 4 incompletes. It is the fact that he only completed six passes.

This means that every second pass was a TD, and if you start at the 30, that means every drive is over in a couple of plays. It is an incredible stat.

I think it was Manning's MVP day from the start. NFC threw too many picks, and that was the deciding factor. -MDG

Manning can get 10 more Pro Bowl MVPs but as long as he doesn't have a championship under his belt, that'll linger as a huge dagger through his great career.

Have to agree there.

But he needs to get a consistent defense, and by the looks of the improvement this season, it looks on its way to becoming what I can call a stable defense.

They have some good players, Dwight Freeney, Mike Doss, Idrees Bashir, but they need to do what the Patriots have done, and pay attention to detail and try to not make better players better, but make everyone better.

If they had a defense, as I have said many times before, they would be the most incredible team ever.

Here is my best team I could think of for the NFL current players:

Offense:

QB: Peyton Manning

RB: L. Tomlinson

WR: Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Andre Johnson

FB: Rock Cartwright

Guards and Tackles: Your choice.

Defense:

D-Line: Richard Seymour, Kris Jenkins, Julius Peppers, Michael Strahan

Linebackers: Tedy Bruschi, Ray Lewis, Derrick Brooks, Dan Morgan

Defensive backs: Rodney Harrison, Chris Mcalister, Ed Reed, John Lynch

Kicker: D. Akers

Punter: Your Choice. -MDG

Erm....no?

There is a lot to talk about during the offseason, like the draft, Free Agent Signing, and that sort of stuff.

Let's see a few articles on NFL.com about the Draft.

Vic Carruci's top 5 QB's.

(Feb. 15, 2005) -- One man's ranking of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL draft:

1. Aaron Rodgers, California (underclassman)

Positives: Arm strength, throwing mechanics, poise, pocket awareness, ability to see the entire field, mobility, willingness to hang in the pocket as long as possible despite smallish (6-foot-2, 210 pounds) frame … Has enough high-end qualities, including leadership, to become the top overall choice, particularly if the San Francisco 49ers keep the pick.

Negatives: Must improve decision-making, especially in the red zone, where his reads have been slower than what they'll need to be in order for him to consistently succeed vs. NFL defenses.

2. Alex Smith, Utah (underclassman)

Positives: Quick delivery, timing, touch, accuracy, progression of reads, patience, mobility, toughness and height (6-3) ... Probably the most intelligent quarterback in the 2005 class, which, along with his other favorable attributes, could make him a top-10 pick.

Negatives: Arm strength, overall bulk and strength ... One more year of college likely would have allowed him to develop more physically and further enhanced his readiness for the NFL.

3. Charlie Frye, Akron

Positives: Quick feet, progression of reads, downfield vision, red-zone production, quickness and depth on drops and toughness ... MVP performance in the Senior Bowl caused his stock to rise high enough to where he could expect to be an early second-round choice.

Negatives: Delivery, accuracy and consistency on short throws outside.

4. Andrew Walter, Arizona State

Positives: Size (6-5, 232 pounds), quick release, arm strength and poise ... Shows enough promise to be selected in the second round.

Negatives: Inconsistent reads, tendency to force throws into coverage and durability (he suffered a shoulder injury late in his senior year).

5. Jason Campbell, Auburn

Positives: Size (6-4, 221 pounds), timing, touch, mobility, quickness and depth on drops ... Could end up as a second-round pick.

Negatives: Arm strength, poise, field vision and decision-making.

Note: Aaron Rodgers has thrown 43 TD's and 5,500 yards since Kyle Boller left two years ago.

That should start off our offseason chat. -MDG

Oh yeah, your a Bucs fan too aye.

I think we have 5th draft pick. Yeah, that's it. Hopefully we pick up a QB, and maybe we should release Charlie Garner, and keep Michael Pittman, because in my opinion, Pittman is very underrated and much better than Garner. -MDG

Pittman's very good, Bucs should get OLine with their first pick. Or trade down and pick up some more. Their defense is getting older, and besides Simeon Rice, the DLine was weak.

When we had Sapp we were much better. But Anthony McFarland does his job.

Our O-Line could do with a touch up. We have a good center in John Wade, but that is where the plusses stop.

Pittman does an awesome job considering the strength of his O-Line, and he is such a good runner to the outside.

On second thoughts, our QB, Brian Griese, can hold his own, 6 picks and 12 TD's in about 10 starts is pretty good. We have some young LB's, but our D is still getting old. -MDG

i dont really like talking about the draft until klike its a week away

how bout randy moss i dont see him playing with thevikings anymore but they have a new owner so maybe he thnks he can handle moss. but if moss leaves everyone is saying the falcons or ravens. I think he would be better with the ravens, but if the falcons got him they might actually become a threat....nah

Nope, Randy will be with the Vikings. They're going to be asking for a lot for him, probably 2 first rounds (this year's and next) and some additional picks in this years draft if they don't get any players in the deal. Randy's a headcase, last season he kept his mouth shut, and showed a lot of maturity. This year, he was the same 'ol Randy. He's staying in Minnesota for the fact nobody else will want him that bad. Also, Mike Tice once again said he won't be dealing Randy. I think Randy starts the rumors himself.

1.) i heard someone on ESPN say they(vikings) would be willing to go a little lower then randy moss value so they can get rid f him (i know i know ESPN isnt exactly a great source)

2.) New owner=new managment=new point of veiws maybe this new manager wont want to deal with moss(jut my opinio) and in the end tice doenst make the calls the front office does

3.) some teams will want randy bad enough to give up a little something extra IF needed

It's the owner's team, but it's Mike Tice's roster. Mike does make the decisions.

No dude, it's just a google joke someone posted on another forum.

Eagles, historically, are notorious for being chokers. Google put this joke up, as if this Superbowl loss was the icing on the cake. Google has a sense of humor too.

Bills fans are still hearing about it man. If the Eagles don't win a Superbowl in the Andy Reid era, you'll be hearing about this for an eternity. Eagles will be "cursed".
