I would rather be a rough dirty player then a soft hitting pussy.

 

Emmit Smith is the benchmark of all running backs. To be a good running back, it isn't about making gains of 10 yards plus every third carry, scoring 15 touchdowns a season, it is about being able to consistent, which is what made him so good.

 

He has set a new height for running backs like Tomlinson, Martin, James etc. to beat. If you can run for about 4 yards a carry every carry of a game, you end up getting 100 yards every 20-22 carries. So, on average, if he touched the ball 20 times a game, you would see big numbers, and probably a win. With a running back like that, it takes pressure off a QB to make longer throws on 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th down. IT also makes the job much easier in the red zone.

So with just under a day left, who does everyone officially think is going to win? My heart's with the Eagles, but my minds with the Pats. I can't bring myself to pick against them because they're all class act guys who also happen to be really really good football players. I'd like to see Philly win this one though, its someone else's turn.

Well I am going to say who I want to win right now. The Eagles. Not because they are more talented or anything but because T.O.'s antics make me laugh. And that the Pats have already won 2 the past couple of years and the Eagles haven't won one in 20 something years. And I hate the Patriots with a passion.

Football's a contact sport, not a collision sport. There is no reason for a player to purposely try to hurt another player. That's something that Rodney Harrison admitidly does.

Patriots 28, Eagles 12. That's my realistic prediction. I hate the Pats, so I'd be happy to see anyone win, even if it's the Eagles, another team that I don't like too much. However, Pats are just too good. They gameplan too well, and they seem to know exactly what to do to beat a team.

well i don't like either of the teams. this is going to be a boring super bowl . i think the patriots are going to win, but i'd rather see the eagles win. my prediction is its going to be a close game, but i'll go with the eagles over the patriots 32-28.

Normally, you have to win the Superbowl to win the MVP. Even if they do win, he's had an INT and a fumble in the first half alone. That's not MVP-worthy. Most worthy so far on the Eagles is Westbrook; got a few big gains, Kearse; forced that fumble, or L.J. Smith; got the first and only touchdown so far. On the Patriots, and I do think the Patriots will take, I think it's going to be Rodney. Unless they want to put the icing on Tom Brady and have the Joe Montana comparisons arise once again. Tom Brady is no Joe Cool, a Trent Dilfer he may be, but Joe... never.
