Yeah, that is something good you can take out of the game. Denver's Defense played real well if you ask me. I personally think Denver will pull together and win next week.

They better, for Jake Plummer's sake. If he keeps playing like he did yesterday, we may be seeing Jay Cutler sooner than we thought. Yeah, I really do think so.

Is it me or did the opening weekend have teh most shutouts in a long time? 2 for sure but one sitll in progress(SD OAK). lol f*ckin' raiders

Regarding Madden 07's Superstar mode. I created a defensive end. Does it bother ANYBODY that any f*cking time your defense allows a single yard it's somehow YOUR rookie's fault? I'm a f*cking defensive end, left side, drafted by the Steelers in the third round. If I'm playing Arizona in the preseason, and Kurt Warner throws out of the shotgun, bootlegging to the opposite side of the field from me, and throws a bomb to Anquon Bouldin, HOW THE f*ck IS THAT MY FAULT? I lose influence points for Catch Allowed, First Down, Touchdown. I lose points for ANYTHING that happens negatively, regardless of whose fault it was or what side of the field its on. I don't even get to call the plays, the CPU Bill Cowher does all that. So what the f*ck do I do? Somebody tell me something encouraging to keep me from putting a bullet through my television. Does this happen to everyone no matter what position you play? I just think it's f*cking ridiculous that every f*ck-up on defense is somehow my fault, and my guy can't develop because of it. Come on man. What the hell...? I just don't get why my rookie is expected to cause every forced fumble, every hurried throw, and influence every single incomplete pass. He's a f*cking ROOKIE. There are TEN OTHER PLAYERS on the field who have jobs. Don't punish my guy's development because some other f*ckwad didn't do his job.

 

Stupid ass EA.

 

Any suggestions/comments/ideas or similar experiences?

I know, I thought it would be pretty cool to be a DEF play but it f*ckin' sucks. WR, in my opinion is the easiest, because you really don't have to run your routes but you can. I don't run them, I usually just try to get past the first down and what not, lol Pretty easy, you might want to try it out.

I still can't believe Tampa got shut out at home by Baltimore. Are you guys believers in Baltimore yet?

I can't believe it either. Being a Tampa fan, I expected us to win, but not easily, as they did. I think Chris Simms was a bit overwhelmed when he came out after 9 minutes and we were down 7-0 with almost a whole quarter gone. I mean, their D just did it all. 3 picks and limited us to like 20 yards on 13 carries. We even threw out a rookie QB into the mix and nothing happened then either. What the f*ck happened to Joey Galloway and Cadillac? I mean, they are good, but Baltimore shut them down without a whisper. Credit to them.

 

I guess I am a believer that they can go a long way from the last few years. I have always had a soft spot for the Ravens, and I hope for the best. Now they have a gun QB, RB, WR, TE, and a great D when the going gets tough. I guess I do believe in them.

 

Edit: Also, I saw the post about Superstar Mode. I mean, yeah, it does hurt in your rookie season that you get punished for almost everything. I play MLB for the Saints and my guy had a massive form spike at the start of his rookie season, and had 40 tackles in like 6 games, and now he has made 6 tackles in the next 4 games. I guess the idea of the punishment on your guy is more focused for when you have influence over others. Also, when will that start to happen?

im not surprised about the tampa game, i mean seriously tampa isnt a scoring team but its not their fault a bunch of teams have been shut out and have you seen the stats for some of these RBs not a good week for them

 

a friend of mine has alexander on his fantasy team, what a mistake that was

anyway have any of you tried player creation besides allstar mode in madden, those drills are stupid and they really need to put it back to the way it was

 

the only reason i have madden right now is for a party game because other than that its just getting me agrivated...

Bledsoe's getting old. He's been in the game too long and he's past his prime. Not a past as Brett Farve or anything, but he's still past his prime. Dallas needs a new QB to be a truly great team, period.

Exactly. Dallas's defense is set for the future, and will rock. I think if they can get a QB in there that will last more than two seasons, than they can move forward to being great and getting Super Bowl rings. If Tony Romo can execute and keep being Parcell's guy, I will promise you that he will start a game this season. And if expected, he will be a good QB.

 

FFB looks set. Although, I am a bit shakey on Kevin Jones vs. Bears Defense, but hopefully he can hold it together.
