Out of the fantasy and into the real for a second:

 

I see the Niners lost again; big surprise, I know. I don't consider myself a fan of them anymore, though I may or may not harbor feelings for them still. I cringed when Davis dropped that interception that was put right into his hands, and on the next play (or the one after), Arizona scored. San Fran's D hasn't improved in seven years. It's still dismal and completely inept.

 

Though I do think Alex Smith will sport better stats this season, with the experience bump that comes with the sophomore year and Vernon Davis as another threat to throw to. Not a playoff-bound team just yet, but they might be in the next couple of years. I hope.

So. I had 3 guys over 20 points; T McGee, T Gonzalez and D Stallworth. Plus my Defences picked up the slack from every other low scorer. Even C Baker scored me some points for not knowing who he is. I still have L Tomlinson haha suckers

 

After the game Stallworth put up, GTAPlayer wanted to trade for him with Mushin, haha

Just goto match up before each week and you will see a vote button down at the bottom of each matchup. Then you just click who you think will win, pretty easy, lol

Basically the Giants got f*cked by 2 penalties, 1 where they called Offensive pass interference on Chris Carter, when he did not push off, they took away a first down. Then when Eli spiked the ball to stop the clock they called an illegal snap and took 10 seconds off the clock.

Great week of football. Looks like I will lose game one over at fantasy football to rockstar. I rented Madden 07. Could hardly tell the difference from 06. Ya know, you hear that a lot from people who arn't fans and don't understand, but even the f*cking interface and menu was EXACTLY the same. The only differences I've noticed were the graphics, like the shadowing, were a little better, and the lead blocker thing. Other than that, give me my 06 and a roster upgrade.

The Deion Branch holdout is over, but Branch isn’t returning to the Patriots. Branch, the fifth-year receiver, has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2007 first-round draft choice today.

 

The 5-foot-9, 193-pound Branch was entering the final year of the five-year contract he signed as a rookie in 2002. Unhappy with that deal, he held out of training camp.

 

Then, in late August, the Patriots gave Branch permission to negotiate with other clubs, and the Seahawks and Jets made contract offers. But a trade with New England couldn’t be consummated by the Patriots’ imposed deadline of Sept. 1 and Branch remained with the Patriots.

 

Branch and his representatives then filed two grievances against the club. The grievances hadn’t been heard before today’s trade.

 

Well I think they should have at least tried to get another player for him, but a first round pick is pretty good. It will probably be a mid-20s pick, but thats still decent. Better than just having Branch sit around and do nothing for the year. Now they can try to find another wide reciever to fit his spot on the 53-man roster.

Favre got shutout for the first time in his 16 year career. That is fantastic. I have become so fed up with his whining the past few months. He's not nearly good enough anymore to command that type of attention and ass pain.

 

Culpepper looked good until Saban wrist-flicked the red flag like a pussy and blew the challenge call. I think everyone on Miami's side knew that was a blown call, and the lack of aggression by Saban sorta killed their momentum. Shortly after, Pepp tossed two INTs on two drives, one was that TD return by Porter. I think they might have won otherwise, they were looking good.

The Vikings have no proven running game, a senior citizen QB, and had to cut their #1 receiver- so they're going nowhere. Also, I think Cinci will take the division, and the wild card will be between Pitt and Miami (banking on Culpepper staying healthy).

 

I would say Baltimore has a shot at the wild card, but that would be assuming Jamal Lewis and McNair both make it an entire season. Every time I see McNair get hit, I think of Samuel L. Jackson playing Mr. Glass in "Unbreakable".

 

And the NFC east is the best division in football as far as competition goes, so that is a total toss up. I could see any of the 4 teams getting out of there, and I'll bet money they have a wild card team as well- most likely the Redskins with their championship level brickhouse defense being almost the same from last year.

 

The Cardinals should have a decent season, but I don't see them doing better than maybe 7-9 or 8-8. They have no defense, and that will hurt in the second half. They should be a good team for a shootout now and then though, with two ace gunslingers and probably the best receiver combo in football.

Regarding Madden 07's Superstar mode. I created a defensive end. Does it bother ANYBODY that any f*cking time your defense allows a single yard it's somehow YOUR rookie's fault? I'm a f*cking defensive end, left side, drafted by the Steelers in the third round. If I'm playing Arizona in the preseason, and Kurt Warner throws out of the shotgun, bootlegging to the opposite side of the field from me, and throws a bomb to Anquon Bouldin, HOW THE f*ck IS THAT MY FAULT? I lose influence points for Catch Allowed, First Down, Touchdown. I lose points for ANYTHING that happens negatively, regardless of whose fault it was or what side of the field its on. I don't even get to call the plays, the CPU Bill Cowher does all that. So what the f*ck do I do? Somebody tell me something encouraging to keep me from putting a bullet through my television. Does this happen to everyone no matter what position you play? I just think it's f*cking ridiculous that every f*ck-up on defense is somehow my fault, and my guy can't develop because of it. Come on man. What the hell...? I just don't get why my rookie is expected to cause every forced fumble, every hurried throw, and influence every single incomplete pass. He's a f*cking ROOKIE. There are TEN OTHER PLAYERS on the field who have jobs. Don't punish my guy's development because some other f*ckwad didn't do his job.

 

Stupid ass EA.

I'm glad the Colts won last night. But like GTAP previously said, NY did have a few bad calls against them. I'm also glad Detroit is getting a hell of a lot better. I'm not a huge fan, but they're from my homestate, so I'm happy for 'em. I'm not too excited about either of tonight's games, but I might watch at least part of them.

DOn't bet on it. The Broncos fumbled on their own 2 yard line and they held them to a field. Atleast they didn't allow a TD, only 6 FG, lmao
