I forgot about Priest Holmes. I am sure Holmes will be getting some carries, I think that'll be a great combo if Holmes stays healthy.

Herm Edwards doesn't do a running back by committee thing, he never really utlized Lamant Jordon when he had him. Priest will be a back-up, but should have retired.

Herm never used Jordan much, that is true. He used him only when Curtis Martin needed a breather or when he was injured. He was not used to his full potential in New York and now in Oakland where he starts he has a bad O-Line (besides Gallery) and doesn't do as much as he possibly could have running behind that former Jets O-Line with Mawae.

Actually, they picked the Patriots over Colts. Golic picked the Colts... because he knows what he's talking about. The other two guys were all talking about their rings. So, Superbowl rings that a team won in the past, makes them a better team now?

[/sarcasm] I hate when analysts don't know what they're talking about, I sit there and yell at the TV from time-to-time if they make a horrible point or observation. I think its to soon, way to soon to even pick who will win divisions and playoff games. I say towrds the middle to end of August is the time when you can start to get the picture of who will do what.

Probably because we took the Patriots out of the Playoffs last year, and everybody wanted them to become the first team to win three straight championships... Eh, It'd be funny if the Colts choked(doubt it) this year and everybody gets on the Broncos bandwagon...

I for one personally loved every minute of the Bronco's victory over the Patriots. I can't stand the Patriots. I like the Broncos, probably one of my top 5 favorite teams. But that by no means means that I want my Colts to choke.

Yeah, Broncos are up there in my favourite teams. I was a fan on the Broncos, but since became more likened to the Buccaneers, and I think it goes Tampa, Broncos, and then I'm not sure, because there are so many teams I hate, like the Redskins, I think they are going to have a big rivalry with the Bucs from now on. I like it.

I live in New York but I'm a DOlphins fan. I think we have a great team this year, I'm a bit disappointed that we can't run the tandem runningbacks like we did last year with Ronnie and Ricky. Both of them did pretty well, Brown nearly had 1,000 yards on the ground and Ricky had over 650 yards on the ground. So yea.

thats not gonna hurt you this year though...now you got daunte so someone can complete passes for you unlike ferrotte...who sucked big time, dude couldnt hit the water if he fell out of a boat

Frerotte did so well for us last season. I mean he wasn't stellar but compared to our QB's in the last 2 season he did great. Culpepper won't be back for the start of the season, and having a quality #2 QB in Joey Harrington is good because now if something happens and Culpepper is injured we have a reliable QB on the bench. Unlike in previous years when we had Ray Lucas, and 2 seasons ago when we had AJ Feely and Jay Fiedler. SO yea, this'll be a good year, I think we can win the division.

Even in Madden Denver is not that good which is Bullsh*t. They are like a low 80's overall and they've made it to the playoffs 4 straight years. I guess Denver is going to have to win a SB to get even a little respect.

 

My favorite team to play with in madden is the Carolina Panthers. Thier D-Line owns all! No one runs on Buckner, Peppers, Jenkings, and Rucker.

A wide reciever will never win it. Jerry Rice didn't even win when he had 22 touchdowns or 1848 yards, and Marvin Harrison didn't win when he had 143 receptions.

 

I'll go with Larry Johnson also. The focus will be on LaDainian Tomilson a lot now that Brees is gone, the same with Peyton Manning now that Edge is gone. Though, I'd still say they're the frontrunners, I don't think they'll get it because their production will be stunted by defensive focus. As for Shaun Alexander, he's cursed.

What's going to happen to Priest Holmes? Are the Chiefs going to bring him in on 3rd downs, every other series, or just plain forget about him?

I think they'll limit his carriers then just might trade him...you never know once the season starts but LJ has got it going on with last season I see a 2000 yd season in hsi future

Priest will just be the back-up in KC, and hopefully retire next season. It would be horrible to see him risk any further injury. He's already got bad hips and knees, and he's only in his early thirties.

STATISTICS:

 

The average career length for an NFL running back is only 4 years. Now think about that Priest has been playing for 10 years, so he has played for more then double the NFL average. He is 33 years old, this is usually (Jerry Rice is an acception) when players start to make the decline when they play such a demanding position. Priest has done good in his career, maybe if he doesn't retire he can go to a team who is in desperate need of a running back and do well, but TBH I don't see that happening. He should retire after this season, he has in essence passed the torch to Larry Johnson.

No kidding dude, I play with the Broncos(of course) on Madden and reorder with chart of Bailey at PR/KR and Bell over Anderson... Bell can get me 200+ but for some reason I hardly run with him, lol or run for that fact... The Broncos overall on madden 06 for the 360 is like a 79, and their offense and defence are high 80s but why overall so low? f*ckers... Hopefully you can put any player anywhere, Bailey and receiver f*ck yeah, Ian gold at Fullback... Done deal bud

 

 

@GTA-Player - I doubt its four years, Name a good RB that only lasted 4 years? You can't

 

Anyways, i doubt you can give out an early mvp to anyone, because you never know how year to year changes...
