Nah, he got one touchdown... I lookedon the steelers website and it should Ben had 72 yards of punting, I didn't see any game where he punted; let alone twice... Anyone see them?

i havent been in them the last 2 years, and my previous post about this subject said i wouldnt, so no.

 

i read madden is going into the Hall this year. is he going in as a coach or as a broadcaster? he shouldnt be there as a coach, he didnt coach long enough, nor is his record that great. but damn did he sell a lot of games for the nfl.

For coach! Not sure if they put Broadcasters in the HoF, but who knows.

im pretty sure they do, anyone with ties to the game can be elected.

i just saw his record, not bad at all, but his playoff record leaves much to be desired.....i guess thats what happens when you had to play the stealers every year in their prime. but he only coached for 9 years, is that long enough to be thought of as one of the greats? i know theyd talk sh*t if a player would be elected only playing 9 years.

Does Barry Sanders ring a bell? He played 10 years and no body thought nothing of that because he was dominating but just didn't want to go on. I surely thought he would be the number 1 in ever running back record there was by now, if he went on playing... Plus, madden coached 10 years not 9, his record was great, 103/32/7, I say that is HoF until you look at the playoffs... He has the highest winning percantage of any coach in the regular season, .759(With over 100 wins), and only second behind Lombardi... So that is a no brainer for him to be in the HoF...

 

Another note on BigBen. He didn't een had a valid motorcycle license, only a perment and never had a license to ride at any period; only cars... That made things a little worse, lol

well barry held one of the greatest records on a horrible team, hes a special case. and if madden is so wonderful, why wasnt he a first ballot HoFer?

 

i read maddox wants to come back to Pit, since he has no job as of now.

Broadcasters do make it into the Hall of Fame, it's just rare. Madden will go in probably as both, but listed as a coach. Coaches don't usually make it in on the first ballot.

Roethlisberger does not need his jaw to be wired shut and should be healed in about 6-8 weeks. Apparently the Steelers and he signed something last season, or agreed to something last season stating they could void his contract is he was involved in a motorcycle accident. Hopefully he heals quickly because the Steelers have had one hell of a series of unfortunate events. They said they're not even contemplating that, I just thought I'd mention they signed/agreed to that. They said they just want him to play.

He will lose 30-50 pounds due to this injury, as well as a significant amount of strength and agility. He won't be able to even hit the practice field until half-way through pre-season, and probably shouldn't play this next season at all. He needs to regain that strength through rehab before coming back onto the field. That was probably the best strength to his game.

Uh, he never threw a touchdown when he started the two games. I think he got his only touchdown of the season off of a trick play, when he didn't even start.

Anyone watch Jay Leno tonight? They made fun of Ben, they said he should've learned his listen but Jay said he didn't and played a video of a guy standing on a motorcycle and then had to bail and did some flips on the ground... pretty funny

They did that last night as well. They showed him "coming home from the hospital" and had some guy speeding down the highway on a bike and crash into a car. He was a hefty black guy wearing a helmet, and Jay Leno goes:

Ahmed Plummer retired. Kinda odd, he is only 30 years old and is one of the more better cornerbacks in the league. I wouldn't blame him, hasn't gotten anywhere with the Niners in the last few years, and I don't think they'll go anywhere. But, oddly enough, he was a free agent. Oh well, his career.

Most guys retire because of thier familys or they are too old to compete. I'd say that Ahmed Plummer retired for his family. Maybe he has a child and dosen't want to miss out oh his/her life. The NFL is a demanding sport and he may not get to see him/her very much.

It might be a demanding sport, but not that many sports give you millions of dollars (baseball and basketball). I think he gets to see his family, but when you're literally making millions of dollars to play football, I'd play until I couldn't play no more. But, I'm not in his shoes, soo..

Yeah, looks funs, hopefully they can improve the Superstar Mode, if they even bring it back. I might end up getting NFL Head Coach aswell. Seems like fun and it gets in more depth with the front office and I love doing that. Plus, making plays and creating the playbook, totally awesome.

yeah, I said I don't have an xbox nor a ps2 only 360 and a pc... i don't like to play football games on the pc nor does the 360 have this game compatible so no renting or buying it, lol

I only know those groupd because so many of the kids in my high school wear t-shirts of them. Also this girl who I sat behind in one of my classes had a t-shirt from a big concert and it had a number of the bands on it. I was bored in class and just read the shirt Lupe Fiasco is good though.

 

Looks like the soundtrack is going to suck again this year. I don't keep much of it though, I have my own music on it.

I wonder who is in charge of making the soundtrack? Obviously someone that has no taste in music lol. Oh well its not the soundtrack that makes the game so I'll still buy it.
