Guys, imagine this. 6"7, 115kgs, runs a 40 in 4.60. That is Willie Mason. One of the better players running around in the NRL(National Rugby League) in Australia. He is a great player. He now wants to see if he will crack it the NFL, and his agent is currently over in the US talking with several teams. I'm pretty excited for him. THat will be awesome to see him over there. He is somewhat a cult figure over here and he will be missed. He is an enforcer for teams he plays for.

Anyways, I think it would be awesome to be just the 5th Australian to go over there and make it in the NFL, and make it good. He's a very mobile unit for a big man. He would only be the 2nd non-punter though, as 3 of them were Australian Rules Football ex-pats, where you basically just kick the ball. The other one, Colin Scott, played very well. Good luck Willie.

Toy, I agree with you in some ways. Alex Smith was horrible for a first pick, no doubt. Some QB's won't get off to the right foot when they first enter the league, especially when you go to a sh*tty team. QB's from the past like Roethlisberger, Palmer and Manning(Eli) were all dropped into good situations with teams. Steelers were a playoff team before Roethlisberger. Cincinatti sucked, but Palmer came in at the right time, you must admit. And Eli Manning came into a decent offensive and became a somewhat of a good quarterback.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Aikmen did go 1-15 his rookie year, right?

Good for McNair. He gets to work with a decent reciever core and gets one of the best backs in the game, and also one of the best o-linemen and a good defense. I hope he succeeds and gets somewhere with them with the time he has left.

Sure Aikman's team went 1-15. Still got over 1500 yards and at least multiple touchdowns. How many did Smith get?

The Colts had a horrendous record in 1998 but Payton Manning had a sweet year breaking a lot of rookie records. The record doesn't always reflect skill or stats.

Alex Smith at least won a few games, as did not Aiken when he went 0-11 starting.

Well that is a pretty good point even if it was only 2 that he won.

However is can also be a big stretch as to say he won the game as in both games against St Louis and Houston the running game was amazing and carried the team. Smith wasn't spectacular.

Smith was the 1st overall pick in the 2005 NFL College Draft, meaning he went to the worst team from that season, I don't know how he could have been expected to do good in Sna Francisco. Their offensive line was and still is sh*t, their defense did not do a whole hell of a lot to back the offense and having Brandon Lloyd as your #1 reciever isn't horrible but when he drops more balls then the number of catches he makes, I think it is an issue for concern. Kevin Barlow is ehh IMHO, if you give him a decent O-Line he may be good. Alex Smith, I don't think was expected to do much, he wasn't projected to be the #1 pick, Matt Leinart f*cked up the '9er's draft board by staying at USC, which in turn caused him to drop from a potential #1 pick last season to a #10 pick this season. Though Leinart dropped 9 spots and a hell of a lot of cash, it works out in the long run because he is on a better team with more weapons.

Oh, I agree, he wasn't the best rookie QB out there and was probably one of the worst, but you have to remember he is with the Niners. confused.gif

MDG, jesus christ. Maybe TE or DE? I'd like to see someone with his size and ability to play NFL. Plus, I think all good NRL players should come to the NFL, because we all know more money is better for everyone else. (Well, depending what you're doing)

Chris Brown could be leaving Tennessee. The possible teams he could go to are Denver, or Houston.

Denver has also been talknig with RB T.J Duckett.

Where'd you hear about this?

Anyways, Marshell Faulk is considering retirement from his knee problem he had last year, Eh I guess it would be time to go. Jackson took his place up there in StL

T.J Duckett would replace Mike Anderson. Bigger and stronger, while bell is small and fast, good combo when you have a 2-back system.

Marshall Faulk is a automatic HOF'er, the only thing he'd lose it a few extra yards on his stat sheet.

I wouldn't give him the Automatic, as of right now I would say he's in Neutral and just needs a little push but could make it...

Denver should have never let Mike Anderson go.

Mike Anderson isn't that great. Any runningback could succeed in that system.

8th in rushing all-time, top-10 in recieving yards of all time and better of all a Super Bowl ring. He has accomplished enough to earn his spot in Canton.

Really? Because I went to join in and I got to the screen to choose your name and helmet, did you enter the password without them being capitalized? If you did, change to being lowered cased. That should do it, if not what is your Yahoo email to send you an invite?

Anyways, Ben Roethlisberger got in a motorcycle accident. Serious but stable condition, he wasn't wearing a helmet and went through the car windshield. Though, the crash is not, thank god, live threatening but still wear a helmet.

For coach! Not sure if they put Broadcasters in the HoF, but who knows.

Yeah, Ben Roethlisberger was talking about how he didn't need a helmet and how no one can tell him what to do (after Jamie Henderson told Ben to wear a helmet). Well, good riddance Ben.

im pretty sure they do, anyone with ties to the game can be elected.

i just saw his record, not bad at all, but his playoff record leaves much to be desired.....i guess thats what happens when you had to play the stealers every year in their prime. but he only coached for 9 years, is that long enough to be thought of as one of the greats? i know theyd talk sh*t if a player would be elected only playing 9 years.

I don't know why Roethlisberger can't wear a helmet on a motorcycle when he wears on on the job.

Well, tough sh*t for him. I am just glad he didn't get injured very seroiusly.

Maybe he'll learn to wear a damn helmet.

Hey, he's got no one to blame but himself. Bill Cowher is a wise man and he told Ben to wear a helmet, and now it's going to bite him on the ass when they get back into training. Serves him right for not wearing one, even if it isn't required in Pensylvannia, if he really cared for his safety, he would have worn one.

Was it ever stated wether it was Ben's fault or no? Like those Sports Reporters say sports stars feel invincible and feel that nothing will ever happen to them. Ben's a good guy and I'm glad it wasn't serious and he can still play.

Does Barry Sanders ring a bell? He played 10 years and no body thought nothing of that because he was dominating but just didn't want to go on. I surely thought he would be the number 1 in ever running back record there was by now, if he went on playing... Plus, madden coached 10 years not 9, his record was great, 103/32/7, I say that is HoF until you look at the playoffs... He has the highest winning percantage of any coach in the regular season, .759(With over 100 wins), and only second behind Lombardi... So that is a no brainer for him to be in the HoF...

Another note on BigBen. He didn't een had a valid motorcycle license, only a perment and never had a license to ride at any period; only cars... That made things a little worse, lol
