Neither will Bush, and Peyton wasn't involved at all. The reason, I think, Archie didn't want Eli to go to the Chargers was because the Chargers and Colts always play meaningful games at the end of the year, and he didn't want a Manning vs. Manning showdown overshawdowing a meaningful game. This just happens to be the year that the AFC South playes the NFC East, but it won't happen every year.

That's true Daustin. I also think he didn't go because the Chargers had Drew Brees at that time and Eli might not have got to play very much becasue the Chargers did well that season.

Moronic? The can get a first day pick for him. Favre still wants to play, no question about it. If he wanted to retire, he wouldn't have wasted so much time doing it. I think he does want to play, whether or not he's on the Packers, but he doesn't want to be the bad guy. He wants the Packers to come to the decision on their own to trade or release him, so he's stalling.

Don't ever believe that. Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, and Jerry Rice said they never wanted to play for another team. They loved the game too much though, and would play for any team that would take them.

Running Back LenDale White from USC has suffered a torn hamstring and will sideline him for a month.

Anyone hear about LenDale? He took a MRI and he has a torn hamstring, which will take a month for it to completely heal. Seeing that the draft is in two weeks, do you think this makes his stock drop even further? Maybe late 2nd round?

On another note, the Patriots inked DE Richard Seymour to a four year contract extension.

I think Lendale, now will be drafted in early to mid 2nd round. His combine numbers weren't really that impressive that made him more a late 1st rounder, but this makes him drop a little bit. IMO he should've stayed at USC for one more year. He easily could've been one of the Heisman contenders which would make him one of the more saught after players in next years draft. But he came out this year and tore his hamstring. Well, thats my prediction for White.

Ya think so? What about your boy Adrian Peterson? He's coming out next year or staying for his senior year? He'll be a highly sought after player in the NFL draft if he stays healthy and continues putting up the same numbers. This year was down from his freshman year, but it wasn't bad at all I think he was just overshadowed by Bush and White.

Chuck, when Joe Montana went to Kansas City, he only played one game for San Francisco the year before. When Jerry Rice went to Oakland, he had two consecutive 800-yard seasons. And when Emmitt went to Arizona he had 975 yards and just 5 touchdowns. They were all "stalling", but only Jerry Rice was able to revive his career. In my opinion, Brett should retire and keep his legacy intact. He doesn't need to retire now, though, he could still play four more years, but not with Green Bay. Not if he wants to win.

Jevon Walker wants out of Green Bay. I think if the Packers trade or release him Farve will either retire or go to a better team. He can still play, but without and consisten recievers he can't do much of anything. Driver is good but inconsistent, look at what Brett did last season with inconsistent recievers. It won't be much better this season if they get rid of Walker.

Yeah Javon wanted out last year because of his low salary. Favre went to his house though and hung out with Javon. Eventually Favre convinced Javon to stay.

In other news, the Saints set up a meeting with Matt Leinart, I'm guessing they're thinking of drafting him? Maybe as a backup to Drew Brees. Kind of like a Carson Palmer thing ya know? The Bengals had him play behind an underrated John Kitna and develop him into the player he is now. Thats my guess.

 

ALSO, Terrell Owens has not shown up to the "voluntary" offseason camps. Bill Parcells' offseason camps are when voluntary means manditory

 

Keith Bulluck also hasn't shown up to Titans offseason camp. Hmm....

I hope so. Noone wants to sign him becasue he wants too much money. It says on Yahoo that the teams interested in Lavar are NYG, JAX, and CLE.

Green Bay and Minnesota could probably reel in Lavar if they offer enough money. Green Bay just needs a all-star type of linebacker, and they just need a defense.

The Packers need secondary, their secondary got burned last year. And especially with the loss of Mike McKenzie last season their secondary could use some help. Arrington would be a huge upgrade though.
