Territory Glitch

Have anyone of you guys activated the glitch on PC ?! Without any tools or something.

Just the regular way ; driving a squalo to the south-west of the map and dying there.

I have. I used a bunch of tools to find the best method, but was able to glitch all the turfs that can possibly be glitched on PC (about a dozen) fairly quickly once I figured out the pattern. The best method is to fly (travel) directly south of Mt Chilliad. This will systematically add 1 of each gang and a dealer to each zone; 1 new glitch every 600 meters.

 

If you look at the map at the beginning of the game you'll notice that most of the map is grayed out. As CJ visits each area it is ungrayed. That is the function that is causing the glitch. The ungray routine is placing it's mark in the wrong memory location when CJ is off the normal map.

No, it does not, but that's a good question. I investigated this issue even though I knew that the glitch is traditionally triggered for the 2nd set of gang wars.

 

GrayZones: 10 x 10 grid approximately 3000 meters square. Unrelated to all other zones and the radar grid images.

 

The game keeps a count of each grayzone that is ungrayed. When the count is 80 or more the whole map is displayed. The glitched turfs... actually, each of the gang types and dealer glitched into a turf add to this count. My test save had a count of 300 or 400. I suspect a PS2 player with 178 glitched turfs would have a much higher count.

 

I was unable to find any way to prevent the glitch. It's possible to glitch turfs at any point in the game. Glitches can occur just off shore.

 

It does mean that on PC it's possible to ungray the grayzones by flying directly north just outside the east side of the map. The grayzones are easy to recognize on the map so this experiment made the grid nature of the glitch very obvious.

 

On PC, flying east and west causes (apparently) random corruption to the zone data. Be careful to avoid the area 500 to 1500 meters east of the LS docks as there is a taxi glitch zone right off shore. I suspect there are other taxi glitch zones but I didn't stumble across any with my random flight tests.

Edit: after i try this on PC, it works men i have additional 9 territories for only 1 hr and 30 mins, i'm not sure for that but Orion I ask a question? did i do that again coz i was try to do that again, it does work...... help plsss...... ^_^

but after 8 additional territories, it cannot add anymore.......

because there is no such things as mods for ps2 and xbox

I was talking about for the PC version and I thought it was pretty easy to do on the consoles so most complaints would be about the PC version.

but only a few codes were made i can't test it 4 u because i only have da original sa and the 2nd edition special

its when you take a speed boat or use the hydra jet and drive or fly off the map

into the lower left corner of the map just keep flying or driving and you see

gang turf unlock on the map and in the stats at pause menu

The vehicle doesn't matter. I told you to use a Shamal on the PM I sent you because it has an automatic pilot and therefore you can leave it flying on its own while you watch TV or something (that glitch takes a lot of flying time). I think the AT 400 also has an automatic pilot, BTW.

 

Let's pray it works for XBOX, DiscoverProject is going to kill someone if it doesn't.

Well I don't have internet, I'm at the college right now and when I go home. Use the Shamal, go SE or SQ bottom of the map. Go for like 3 hours (should have autopilot). kill myself anyway I can, and there should be colorful beautiful territory boxes all over the colorful map. Then I will try and go back on here and confirm it that it works for xbox. Hopefully, it does.

 

And if doesn't ....I'm going to
