Territory Glitch

I believe there are 16 territories that can not be controlled by Grove..these will eventually revert to Ballas in the gang stats..I have done the "territory glitch" to the point of having all areas done but have continued flying to take areas over again to darken the green shades of Grove turf..these 16 areas can show up as Grove while initially doing the "glitch"..but as I said..will eventually be lost

thats cuz you still do the glitch....when ever you fly away to get new territory's or even if you do it after you have all 178 territory's...the territory's will still be exchanged between gangs...if you do it alot after you get the 178th (iv done it about 40 hours) vagos will take over most of them,i still have that save befor i started taking over rival territory's,stats for vagos are 125 territory's...if i go flying again after awhile territory's will not increase (178 is max) but there will be exchange between gangs.

agreed..territories will not increase past 178..but tell me..have you taken all 162 Grove territories as your own before flying some more ?..and perhaps most important of all..what system are you using ?..maybe the "glitch" is different on different consoles

i've beaten the game numerous times already, this time through, i did the territory glitch, the whole way 178 territories, and im still at LS in the beginning, i wanted to take all of the possible territories i could in LS before i moved on, and i'm using ps2 btw, and right now like i said, i've got territories at unity station n theirs a small lil strip above unity that is colored yellow, and the problem isnt that ballas dont spawn, they do, its jus that wenever i kill them at the territory, a war doesnt start, i've killed them with the bitch method, i've killed spawning members n it hasnt worked, so for now it sort of makes sense that their are a few that CANT be taken over cuz it is jus a glitch, cant expect it to work 100%, but i'm jus surprised that no one else has said n e thing about this before, that is unless of course bagga rabbit is wrong, but it would make sense as of now, while it may work all 178 territories for some, it may not for others, idk thats just my theory, i'd be very glad if i can be proven wrong, cuz that ONE purple or yellow spot in a mass of green territories lwould ook rather annoying lol

I've come to the conclusion and I may be mistaken..but I don't think I am..that these 16 territories may not be able to be taken because there are other gangs allready there..Rifas,viet,chinese or Aztecas..it seems that these 16 areas stay "non Grove" because of this..i.e. Little Mexico or Unity Station in Los Santos..or Garcia in San Fierro

i use the ps2, 1st version slus20946...i did all 178 territory's in one shot rigth after the doberman mission.

 

iv done the glitch several times too...but i was able to take over thoses territorys you guys are talking about ??? i didnt take over all 178 but i can tell you that Los santos and san fierro are all green...but i did it just befor last mission...cuz i think maybe if you do it early in the game,the game will keep thoses gangs alive cuz of the storyline...

 

or maybe you have over-lapping territorys (2 in 1)try doing another war after you win the 1st one even if its in green...

 

or maybe its another glitch i used...the "never get your hood's under attack"glitch...just save your game when your hood is under attack and it will never happend again...

 

also if the other gang theory is right you should not be able to take over:

aztecas = el corona & little mexico (los santos)

rifa = garcia(san fierro)

da nang = easter bassin(san fierro)

triads = chinatown(san fierro) & the four dragons casino(las venturas)

mafia = caligula palace(las venturas)

thoses are the original base territory's for other gangs(from brady games walk-thru)

 

my theory is,the way the territory's are given is random so far no one had the same results...if you look at the original gangs map in brady games walk thru...you'll see lots of territory's, look closer to las venturas there should be lots of territory's there...i think that when we do the glitch the las vanturas territory's are spread elsewhere on the map and las vanturas get one big fat territory...so some territory,s maybe spawned where it should not...but that dont explain why i was able to take over some you cant...???

 

also see "getting new territory's all over SA" topic from atheist-4-life, its a glitch that let you choose what territory's you what by putting explosive on gang members that are attacking your hood and flying to a place where there should not be one and detonate to make this hood your's....here's what im doing right now...did doberman to activate gang-war, i wait for one of the 54 original territory's to be under attack,then i pick territory's i want active..so far i did 13 new territory's,8 in las venturas and 5 in los santos...i will do about 10 more befor trying to do the glitch...and see how the game spread the rest of the territory's...its a a bit long to do cuz you have to wait for them to attack you...

 

in conclusion..i did many glitchs,used many cheat codes and cheat device codes..so its very hard to tell what i did or not did,im just happy it works... i hope it helps you somehow,wish you luck.

very informative..I'm right now in the air in a Shamal..been flying for app. 11 hours..going for 178 from a 100% complete game with the origional 54 Grove territories controlled..when I finish flying..trying for about a 14 hour total.. I hope to have as close as possible to the origional 54 Grove areas as I can..will keep you all updated on what's happening (if anyone cares)..and a correction..the enemy territories that can't be taken show up as Vagos areas in your stats,not Ballas as I mistakenly stated previously

here's a thing id like to test when given time....

 

do you know the "open all interior from game start"glitch ?...enter the jet-pack buttons cheat during the 1st cinematic and it unlock all interior accessible in the game...well its possible to enter buttons cheat during most cinematic in the game(i tested a few)this could lead to lots other glitchs,more so,id like to test entering buttons cheats during the doberman cinematic to see if anything happen(works i tested it,and its possible to enter a cheat during the cinematic that show's you the hood to take over)...or in any gang involved mission cinematic.

 

im always in hope that i or someone will find a way to glitch the game into activating other gangs(rifa,da nang,triads,aztecas,mafia) into gang-war...i know its possible to mod ballas & vagos into other gangs with a cheat device..but to have all gangs into gang-war is my dream....just a dream,you might say...well maybe not,few clues point to a possibility...

-brady games walk-thru territory map show's all gangs colors and base territory's

-brady games pics show's blue(rifa) & light blue (aztecas)territory's in screenshots

-the names of the area in the game shift in other gangs colors sometimes

-rifa,da nang,triads,aztecas can be found in their base territory in los santos & san fierro(exeption,no gangs in las venturas? triads & mafia?)

 

so share any info...you never know what it might lead to.

I heard about this glitch, i tried it in a plane and when i died i had a whole new gang area to take over in Las Venturas!

when you do it long enough, it differs for everyone, u'll get a max of 178 territories, and thats pretty much like all of SA

quick update on my current "glitch" flight..been flying for 23 hours and stats are now at 57 Grove..120 Vagos..1 Ballas..going for just the origional 54 grove by staying "in air" untill the "given" extra territories are taken over by Vagos ..UPDATE..next day..I've just completed 28 hours of flying time and stats are...54 territories/Grove...124 territories/Vagos...0 territories/Ballas..time to investigate

...if you did the territory glitch,you already have modded the game a lot (peds,cars,dealers...etc) and those glitchs i talked about dont screw-up the gameplay and/or storyline...(btw the territory glitch can srcew-up the game by itself ex: gym problems),you dont have to beleive me,search the related topic for each one and read it for yourself.

 

and...dont worry about having trouble with your game!!!!!

iv been thru the game using lots of codes and glitchs never had any problems completing the game....+you dont have to risk your current gamesave...just use the codes or glitch, see what it does,dont save...or just double your savegame,one for testing effect of saving codes & glitch,and one for your needs for clean gameplay.

 

btw if u have a cheat device look for thoses codes

 

-cheat used=0 (stats)

-cheak sum bypass (enable you to load a currupt savegame)

 

thoses are somekind of fail-safe codes....i never had to use them!!!

i know the glitch has already set in changes within the game but what i gained from the glitch, i felt was enough to put down possible risks, btw i dont have the gym problem, i've read it before and i dont have the problem, i've been in there, and worked out n gained muscle, no problems yet, which leads to the conclusion that all games are different, i've done cheats back in vc, the cheats that the game warns u before u save, which are the cheats other than health armor n weapons, n i've done the cheats that the game has warned me about, n wen i had gone on ahead in saving it, my game lagged, when i was walkin with tommy, it looked like his feet were under the street floor, and it froze a lot, n it has effected my other files, the loading sequences took longer, it was a lot easier for the game to get into that state where everything isnt in detail anymore and it takes a few seconds to bring back, only after i did the cheats, it took a hell of a lot longer or, it doesnt even come back. and i'd rather not try that again, nor do i wanna do any MORE glitches than i've already had

oh...ok.,i understand your choice.i never had any other gamesaves affected by glitch or codes,aside the one i was using....but it can happen.

 

i saved lots of buttons cheat on sa...no problems so far.

 

btw,now cheat device are better than 5 years ago...alot of improvement were made and new versions have almost no problems...

maybe you should give it a second try, its not like in the days of vc...its up to you.

i have only one one advice for you...sale this sh*t version you have for 10$ (game stores or e-bay) than buy a used copy of version 1 for 20$ or less (i seen one for 15$ at my local gamestore).

 

its only gonna cost you between 5$ and 10$ to get it...but its alots fun for little $$$,think about it (territory glitch & hot coffee)

when i do the glitch i look at my stats often ....on the gamesaved i did the glitch the longest...groove max territory held went to 68 ..keep in mind i did the the glitch right after doberman mission and didnt do any other gang-war,so i only had the territory's given by the game...so groove stats raise during the very firsts hours you do the glitch,at some point...about when you reach the 120th extra territory's the making of the glitch start to be slower (you gain less territory's per/hours) then vagos start over-taking ballas and groove territory's and will keep doing so...my stats are vagos 126,ballas 23,groove 29...and i did the glitch about 40 hours in a car using "cars fly"&"move fast" buttons cheat...so i guess groove # of territory's can go even lower...maybe if done long enuff vagos could totally rules sa...but that could be very long to do...i will try to do more hours on this gamesave and see what happen...ill put it before i go to sleep.

 

btw,now i use the "sideways gravity,stays on"codes (cheat device) to do the glitch...i enter a car set gravity to south and i let it go...oh,i also use "move fast,infinite health,never hungry,faster clock"buttons cheat to make it faster and keep c.j alive during the trip...you can go for countless hours,after a few hours your car start to shake and parts moves alot cuz your very far away...re-enter the buttons cheat to disable them if you want to die and respawn

 

also cool trick...when you flyed all that way with a car using "sideways gravity stays on" or just by using "car fly" buttons cheat...use a buttons cheat to spawn a car,your flying car will hit it and youll be awarded a insane stunt bonus with huge stats.

I tried the glitch and I barely see any of the gang members...I took over all the original territories in LS but I can't see andy Vagos or Ballas in the new ones. I only took one.

I managed to take some in SF but there are some where I don't see any.

LV is 100% Ballas and I've yet to see at least one there...

you have to use the "bitching method" go to a territory with gang members punch a least 3 of them and have them follow you to the territory you want then kill them there....for tha big las venturas one go to the golf club north of las venturas...the golf club itself is not a territory...go at the west end of the golf club...keep going west till you see the colored las venturas name appear at bottom of the screen,then go back in the golfclub going east...as soon you enter the golf course youll see ballas or vagos gang member walking around...use the "bitching method" and bring them back where you made the colored name appear and kill them,it will start a war...las venturas is now yours.

I use the "recruit anyone" code..get 3 Ballas into a car..take them anywhere (any territory you want to control)..then get out of the car..hold the Ballas at the car (press down guick on PS2) run far enough away so I can still see them but not too close..release them from recruit (hold down on PS2)..then blast them with the RPG at the car..then run to a good spot for the gang war

it migth work..but i dont know,never tryed to get las venturas any other way...+ u seems to think its a lots of trouble..but it only take few minute to do.and if you are looking for over-taking SA extra territory's you should get used to this.

 

the "recruit anyone" way bagga rabbit describe,is very good too,i used it with a bus and i recruited 8 vagos and used "car fly" to get them where i want.... you can also get a towtruck and tow a ballas/vagos car to the territory you want...lots a ways to get the same result,

I've found with the "gang members anywhere" code or cheat it can get a little "hairy"..there are different gangs shooting at each other so much that sometimes you can't control the situation enough to start the war..sometimes the other gangs (chinese or mafia) kill the Ballas before you do and then you have to deal with them..I usually leave 2 or 3 territories handy to recruit the enemy..like Bayside and Foster Valley and Marina in Los Santos..that way it's not a very long drive to get anywhere on the map

Hey again ive been away for a while and have just read this topic i wonderd if ric-013 knows if the territory glitch was removed when R* removed the hot coffee glitch i own the platinum ps2 version of gta sa ive tryed it for an hour or so but nothing happend somebody please help
