Territory Glitch

Hi, this is my first time posting in this site. i need to know if this territory glitch work's for GTA SA Greatest Hits, cause ive been flying my plane for 2 whole days and the screen was all shakey and had the Never Get Hungry cheat on i kept checking the stats and the ballas, vagos, and my gang had the same numbers as what territories we have it seems to never change. its been like this for 2 days so im kind of wondering if it works for greatest hits cause its a huge fustration and this dumb storm keeps turning off my lights so yeah i have to redo it.. for PS2 Greatest Hits, Thanks.

I am not sure, but it's possible they made the PS2 rerelease more like the XBox/PC inasfar as this glitch goes. On the later ports and rereleases, it's apparent that the glitch takes much more flying to the corners of the map than it does on the original PS2 version. Maybe someone with the Greatest Hits version can try and confirm this?

 

@iceman: Do you have these gang territories showing on the map before you do this? If not, I don't know what you're trying to say. Killing gang members on non-gang turf shouldn't do anything special.

From what I gather, it hasn't been removed but is harder to trigger, i.e. it won't occur naturally through doing missions like "Saint Mark's Bistro" or "Freefall" which require you to travel off the edge of the map.

I know that it wont work for the Trilogy version.I've tried it a few times flying for a couple hours but nothing.

the only problem is on some of the san fierro turfs that have the triads ,SF Rifa and Da Nang boys can't be taken if you've done the territorry glitch because on my save i have some turf near the plessure domes, the pier 69 area, the docks,doherty,garrcia and carlton hieghts they can't be taken for some reason even tho they have either purple or yellow on thats area

I don't know why but I did this for 3 1/2hours and didn't get 1 territory

edit:I noticed that remingtons and tornados are very common like in the country there are hos and remingtons which is weird

i know me too

i tried it at 3:00 a.m.

set it

woke up at 6:17 a.m. and cj was at a hospital

and my map had no new territories

I TRYED IT 5 TIMES

 

once for 30 min going SE with the Samal

and nothing new

 

the 2nt time i did the same thing only for two hours nothing new

 

the same thing for the next three times exept once in a speed boat going SW

 

AND THE MOST FU*KEDUP THING: I FLU

4 HOURS STRAGHT IN THE SHAMAL AND NOTHING ABUSLOTLY NOTHING HAPPEND!!!!!!

 

SOMEONE TAKE ME STEP BY STEP ON WHAT TO DO!!!!!!! THIS IS REALY STARTING TO PISS ME OFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- *First and foremost - I DEFINENTLY haven't seen any crack dealers that look like this, ANYWHERE in the game... I've only seen the black tank/black skully drug dealer who drops $2,000 - and the white guy in the Rockstar hoody who I believe drops a little less.

 

- Secondly, I tried traveling in the SE corner of the map with a Squallo as suggested by numerous people for a while - and I too recieved no territories what-so-ever. The only strange thing I noticed is that the further out I went, the rougher the waves seemed to get... Than again, I don't go "boating" much so the water changes might happen near shore as well. Just something I noticed...

Regarding the biker drug dealer, in both PS2 and xbox version 1 he can very rarely be seen at the start of a completely new game, probably because of a different bug. In general, with normal gameplay and in the normal unglitched territories, you will probably never see him.

 

For all those recently complaining about not being able to trigger the glitch, it would be helfpul if you posted your version and platform. The glitch was easy to trigger on PS2 version 1, and much harder to trigger on xbox and PC version 1. It is possible that it is still harder or even impossible to trigger on the various version 2s. However, without platform/version details there's no way to gather evidence to support that.

 

Remember, this is a bug, not a feature. It wasn't supposed to happen and there's no guarantee it will happen for you, especially with newer versions of the game.

I have the old PS2 and this glitch still doesnt work, Perhaps its true that it wont work for the Greatest Hits. However i do have 62 from the normal 54 territorys from doing that Saint Mark's Bistro so its pretty confusing.

Mine says that I have 99 territories taken over and it says highest territory taken over 53 (or thats what i think it says i dont have it in front of me )Also about the extra territories there are some in paradiso and bayside that are hard to see.

I just don't know how to activate all the gang's in war! I know all the gang's I know the trick off 3hours flying but still I can't get a totall gangwar whit all gangs included!! I play this game for almost 2years on my ps2 now and i'm getting mental disturbed! I want to start a war whit the maffia and all the others but I can't trigger them! HELP ME !!!! and also I don't understand the thing with Catalina, why does she ceap calling, what does she want and how do I please her , what does it takes to let her be my girlfriend or is that not possible? I'm getting crazy over here, i've bought the strategybook and shearcing over the internet for almost 2years now and still knowbody has helped me

That's easy to answer. You CAN'T get a total war with the Mafia, Triads, etc. At least not without massive game modification. It simply isn't a feature in the game.

Catalina's phone calls are simply for story and atmosphere. They're funny, nothing more. You can't make her your girlfriend and can't interact with her aside from the missions she's in.

Please don't double-post; it causes topics to become unnecessarily longer. If you have something you forgot to add to a post, just use the Edit button in the upper right of the post and then insert your message. "Player Hater" is simply the default initial member title, which is based on the SA Criminal Ratings. It's also completely meaningless. Did you get upset and swear at the game when you first started playing and your stats said "Player Hater" there too? Read Fuzzy Juzzy's response the last time somebody asked about it in the Network forum....

I took 3 Vago's to tag the name San Andreas that was in dark yellow i took them on the reefer and i used the recruite anyone cheat, so i went out their on the ocean till the name San Andreas was all dark yellow i kill the vago's after i deactivate the cheat then it started the war on San Andreas but the map was not glowing red for if it started the war, so right when it started the war i didnt even move and it said that i fled the war, it always does this. is it because it is underground or something.. because when i enter any save house alround los santos it turns dark yellow when i enter the house, as anybody had this trouble before?

I have all of the story missions done, and the vast majority of the assets done, and all of the vagos territory, and some ballas territory, and I haven't noticed this.

 

 

Just as a somewhat related question, after you get all of the territories, do you stop getting the "our hood is under attack" messages?
