Smithdogg1
So I have 99% In GTA:3, its been that way for a while now since I stopped playing a long time ago. The reason, I never did ambulance level 12, I got to frustrated trying to complete it on the first island before the gangs shot at me, and I was anxious to move on with the game so I did, but now after having done everything else getting level 12 seems near impossible. The first island is ruled out for obvious reasons, the shotgun toting Mafia. On the second and third island gangs are not really a huge problem, I think that two on each shoot at you. But the layout of those islands is a lot harder, esp. the third where it can be very hard to tell where the person you need to pick up is, if the game had a map like Vice and SA it would be a lot easier! Anyway what I am wondering here is has anyone successfully completed level 12 on the second or third island? Just wondering if there is any hope, because I would like to go back and complete it. If not when I get some free time and have no other games to play I may just start over and make sure it’s the first thing I do. But I would much rather just do it now since I have everything else done, it would be such a pain to do everything all over again just to get 1% for the ambulance missions. puubert
The Paramedic mission was the first thing I did in the game. Staunton would be your best bet, but I don't like your chances. Good luck. Sillyhed2000
If it weren't for the Mafia, I would say the first island definately. Your best bet, as Puubert said, is Staunton. Or starting a new game and doing it, but I'm guessing you wouldn't wanna do that? SonnyBlue
First time I beat the game, I had to do my paramedic missions on Staunton, just practice getting in and out of the hospital, thats the hardest part. Good luck man Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2197212 Share on other sites
Wolf68k
My first time playing I had the same problem. Not too long ago I started my second try at 100% and the paramedic was one of the first things I did (even before the rampages incase I needed the unlimited sprint) and I finally did it in Portland. I look at the paramedic like a game of solitaire, keep playing and you'll beat it sooner or later. So it's just a crap shoot. wild-thing
staunton, it's an easier layout and only one gang shoot you(cartel) but they don't pose a threat unlike sv which is awkward and more gang members roam it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2198403 Share on other sites
Chunky Lee Chong
Portland would've been your best best, but you f*cked that up. Staunton seems kind of hard, with the awkward location of the Hospital. Shoreside Vale has an odd setup as a city, but a lot better than Staunton. puubert
Shoreside Vale has an odd setup as a city, but a lot better than Staunton. I'd disagree, considering you only have a vague idea where the patient is, you need to be able to track that person down quickly, and Staunton, due to its layout, is much easier to locate and move patients. SSV is not designed to move around easily, there are only 2 roads that connect either side, and they're both pretty lengthy drives. Purple9
Make use of Mr Wong's 100% topic, it includes a thorough walkthrough on Paramedic Missions. Link here. mystk
I've done a bit of the Paramedic missions and I found SI the easiest. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2202215 Share on other sites
Demarest
Simply put, it is best to do Paramedic (as well as Taxi Driver and the Portland parts of Vigilante and Firefighter) before ever doing Trial By Fire or The Pick-up. It's the only time you can do this without being shot at by anybody. My last idea: Start a Paramedic Mission on each island, until you complete it. Demarest
But even if you pass Luigi's Girls and hop over, there are Columbians that shoot at you on both the other islands. Chunky Lee Chong
I know, but I was giving him a suggestion for the current stage of the game he's at, where on all three islands he has people trying to kill him. Spuds725
I did Paramedic last in my game-- took me a couple of tries but I did finish it on Staunton Island so it is possible-- I think the layout in SI is ideal because you can zip up and down the island pretty fast on several different roads-- and they are nice and wide. Make sure on the higher levels you pick up 3 close patients first. I never tried it on the other islands so I can't compare. mystk
Yeah, SI is the easiest. If only the ambulance was faster then it would be so easy . Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2214699 Share on other sites
Smithdogg1
I was playing around with it a bit a few days ago on SI. First off the gangs are a problem when the person you need to pick up is in their territory, because when you stop they just light you up. Also I was again amazed by how easy the ambulance gets damaged, four hits and it was smoking, not to mention how it handles worse than in VC and SA. I think my best chances would be in Portland, I know that map so good there, much better than SI and the layout is much easier (except for the hills). I will try on SI and bit more but I may just start over, I don’t think it will be that bad, compared to SA there is really not that much you have to do in 3. TWA
well. it IS possible to do it on staunton with the rest of the game completed. i did the paramedic on staunton on ps2. drive as little as possible in areas with hostile gangs... anyway you'll need some luck, and take a look at the guide Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2218214 Share on other sites
mystk
If you get used to SI then it's really easy to do it. Just practice. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2218879 Share on other sites
bitsandpieces
I've been trying the Ambulance mission in Staunton and i always get confused of the patient location when it's near the hospital, down by the bridge, so, i either run out of time, or i flip the crappy thing over It upsets me to know that a laundry van(Mr. Wongs) handles 200% better than an Ambulance Is there anyways to switch the 2? I've only managed to get to level 4 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2270330 Share on other sites

Im on Level 9 because theres traffic in the way . But Im gettin better, So i made it to level 10 or 11 and it was one the first island, i didnt do any missions and the second last chicks i had to pick up was in the basket ball courts and i couldnt line my ambo up fast enough so when i went to pick up the other person i run out by mear seconds. I wasnt think cause the other person was a few meters away but for some reason i thought it would be better to drop her off first and get more time, which i didnt, i was so angry Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/160443-is-there-any-hope/#findComment-2794286 Share on other sites
