Bike, Car, Boat, Air schools. How they're done!

Now, I need to ask some help. So far I have gold on every test in every school except, The 360 in Driving School[/u] I cannot seem to get this right. Regardless of what I do, I always get 75% on Final Heading and 100% on Positition. What the devil am I doing wrong!?

For the 360, make note of your compass direction when you start, and stop facing the same way. Stop your left and right wheels just where they started.

They didn't make that clear when I first did this one, so I just kept spinning till the timer ran out.

first of all very well done on the guide , second you made a minor mistake which i have found a lot of people have trouble with, the "destroy targets" in flight school, the time is only 80 seconds not 90, and i dont know if its just me but to get 100% on position i have had to land with just the tail of the heli in the circle

You need bronze in all.

 

 

For The 90 in the driving school, I found that the easiest way is to immediately drive left about 45 degrees, then right, so that you're driving towards where you have to park at an angle. This is to correct the massive spin you get when you use the handbrake.

 

Then when you get close, you just slam on R1, Square, and left on the analog stick. This way you don't even have to worry about hitting the other cars, you can just concentrate on getting the correct heading and position.

 

Once I figured out this technique I got gold within 5 tries.

Driving school was the worst one.... but there's tons of burn and lap recommendations here, you can do it.

Eh, i'd have to say that flying school was the worst for me. But I just tried and I easily beat the thing. Not sure what I did but oh well

I'm done now with car and flight schools.

These things are pretty hard. In the car school I have left 1 bronze and some silvers, but I don't bother just for a car. Maybe when I have nothing more to do.

 

Flight is different as the Hunter is very different from any other vehicle. So I had my payload of try & error & frustration.

 

I think that both "destroy your ennemies" and "circle and land are a pain in the ass. Those were my later golds.

 

For Loop the Loop and Barrell roll, don't follow the advice of executing the manoeuvre as you pass the first corona. After passing it maintain an horizontal steady flight for about 1.5 secs/2 secs So when you finish the loop you are not that far away from the second corona and even if you are nearly out of control of the plane, you can hit the corona and get the gold.

 

For destroy your ennemies use 1st person view for all except the landing. At the beginning nose down nearly vertical but straight, so you build a great speed over runway. As you get some speed, let go of accelerator and aim. If you aim well, you can destroy the three without reaching them, if not, just over them. Then go for the cars. I had best results when flying near to ground, and it's better to have a stable position from which to aim and turn than be flying around them. For the landing, do it parallel to runway as said above.

 

For circle and land use left analogue instead of L2 R2, it gives you more control, and try to aim to the exterior of the corona, even further, so when you turn inwards you are facing the next one. And good luck with the landing, that's the annoying part. I only got 100% position twice, but one of those the time was also good so I got my gold.

I have completed the game and on the driving school mission i wanted to brush up my car collection by getting a hotknife So i got gold on everyone and then came city slicking........i used the cars fly cheat to do it in about 45 seconds i suffered some damage so i used the Health Armour and 250 000 dollar cheat and won the Gold.....i just thought i would post this because it is a handy tip

I have done boat and bike schools today. first boat events are just easy, the slaloms aren't difficult but are long, so one bad turn and out of the gold. I got silvers and didn't bother. The jump with the overcraft is the toughest, but I think that as you get used to it you may hit the gold. It was my first time in the boat school area and probably the last one so why would I want a boat spawning there?

 

Bike school is pretty easy though, I hit all the golds in about 20 min and I wanted the NRG to make the unique jumps in LV without having to carry one from LS or SF. For Jump and stoppie, I found it much easier than I expected maybe due to the good tip given above that you don't have to land in your front wheel. I made about 10 tries and apart from the gold one I got 96% on my first jump and 98% later on, both with good straight position but a little further from the final cones than when I got 100%, so you have to be aligned and as near to the final cone as possible without hiting it.

 

I think Car school is the worse one and Circle and land and destroy your ennemies are pretty difficult also.

At Burn & Lap I found it easier to hold R1 a bit longer, so you're through the turn before you let go. When I got the hang of that it wasn't that hard.

City Slicking isn't that bad. I used the obvious path, which is to go straight until the dead end, right down the hill, left, then down the hill slowly enough to stay in control, R1 through the checkpoint, then drive back on the same exact path in reverse. With enough practice you should be able to get between 96 and 100 seconds.

Someone help me on wheelie and weave before I lose all my hair. This one is a f*cking pain in my ass. I am seeing constant mid-high 90's but anytime I get one that should be a 100 they f*ck me with small damage penalties. What is the trick to this one?

Just keep repeating it... don't hold the accelerator down fully... when you start edge to the left a tiny bit, and hope you can land pointed straight.

 

This took me as many tries than City Slicking and Burn n Lap...

Damn this is the third time I have gotten perfect but had 2% damage. One of these pages someone said that their one on gamefaqs was better. That retard said it was acceptible to have 1-3% damage and I have proven that wrong three times now otherwise I would have had this first time out and not been pissed at this test.

 

EDIT Twice in a row now with perfect 100 but 1% damage

 

My new question is how the hell can I prevent this game from jewing me on damage? Cause it seems if I am way off and skid forever I get 0 damage but if I am close to the red marker I get it. This is gay.

I got a Bronze on 'Jump and Stoppie' after my 3rd attempt, I didn't find it that hard. Although, strangely enough, I found 'Stoppie' the hardest of all the schools. It took me at least an hour to get a Bronze.

I also found 'Flying Fish' and 'City Slicker' difficult, took me a while to get them.

I still can't score enough Silver for the next vehicle in any of the schools I'm not awfully good at them, I just complete them and then forget about 'em. Although I am fighting hard for the Stuntplane reward at Pilot School. 'Destroy All Targets' is holding me back, so I'll try your tips.

You had a hard time with the stoppie? I thought that was one of the easier golds.

 

Here's how I do it: Speed up, lean forward, just before entering the stoppie zone, press brake for a second. This will tip you forward. Don't hold brake otherwise you won't drift all the way through. You'll probably spin out right after passing the stoppie zone, so just correct yourself and go in for an easy bronze.
