when the pc version comes out can they make mods

like: police uses swat+fbi tanks, leviathan got always an magnet,

spike strip droppers on police cars(from that mission),

more stuff to mod your car with like more bumpers and paint jobs.

and you can make your car bullet proof, flame proof, damage proof, explosion proof for some cash(bp50.000, fp30.000,DP80.000,EP100.000 or something like that).

that mods shall be nice, also when you can go to vice city and liberty>_<

and maybe 100 cars more? and boat garages!

sure , we'll do that the second it comes out , but , only 100 more cars? Why not a 1000? also , we will make 20 more guns , 90 more boats and 200 more car addon's . j/k ,

some things are hardcoded and can't be changed. I guess there will be a limit to the number of car's , just like in VC and GTA3.

Nicer graphics would be nice, but you allready mentioned that... apart from that I don't really want Rockstar to change too much - I just can't wait for the mods to come out. I would really like R* to make their own 'mod' where they put all cities (GTA3 & VC) into one game, and travel between them.

I'm pretty sure this isn't going to happen officially, and hope that it can be done by the modding community. dozingoff.gif

Ah cool, guess I won't have to wait as long as I thought I would for the new GTA game on Xbox. I thought about buying it on PS2, but said screw it. I'll wait for custom soundtracks!!!

 • 2 weeks later...

i've read this topic and most of guys wanted a multiplayer mod. some said that renderware cant support multiplayer, but thats wrong Tony hawk pro skater was renderware and had multuplayer.

so theres a small chance SA will have at least LAN multi.

Any engine can , theorecticaly , support multiple players , if you program / change it to support multiple players. MTA , GTAt and GTA:C are good examples of this.

I think that on SA:PC you should be able to add unlimited amouts of created stuff eg. new cars, new weapons new clothing new hair new tattos without replacing current ones. And there should be a program made by rahkstar2.gif to make this all simple for the people who dont kno much about programing and coding. And a feture that will enable you to have unlimited space (like most oters have said) and have all the previous games on one map.

there is no such thing as unlimited. There is a limit on everything. Disk space , computer memory , video memory etc.

I meant as much area as possible so that you could choose how much land you wanted depending on your pc spec. if that meakes sense.

i have a kind of of topic question but anyway people in this topic mentioned that not only was the game exclusive like the others cause of that evil contract but there cant be major improvements with other consoles aka xbox i never heard of that till now

well anyway where can i read this contract...

and i mean preferably from sony or R* or taketwo not some gta site half full of false rumors like the majority of those sites

How can you all bear playing GTA3/VC on PC? I played VC on PC and just stopped after 10 minutes because I couldn't stand the controls. You can't play GTA without pressure-sensitive buttons, analog sticks, etc.

The way I see it, SA for the PC needs a few key things (which I doubt are that unreasonable or hard to implement).

Good support for the various analog devices out there (joysticks, driving wheels, gamepads, etc.). And by good support, I mean decent configurability for all of them. It seems to me that you should be able to change the axes as appropriate (for example, for a helicopter moving the joystick right or left could have different meanings, either rolling or rotating). Things like that. There should also be different configuration menus for cars, helicopters, and airplanes (unlike in VC, which forced chopper controls and car controls to basically be the same).

There should also be no frame limiter required. Let's be honest, frame limiters are for sissies. If I've spent $5000 on a computer, I should be able to enjoy my 500 frames per second if that's what I so desire. Maybe some of you had different experiences, but on my (fast) systems, turning off the frame limiter made Vice City unplayable (even though the situation is improved from the GTA3 PC port). Unfortunately, depending upon how they have all this set up, this could require a major code overhaul. Of course, in my opinion it just smacks of lazy coding if that's the case.

I'm a little bit curious how they're going to handle weapons. It seems to me that you should be able to aim manually or automatically in the PC version. There's no good reason to force you to choose one or the other, and in San Andreas it breaks the weapon skill upgrade scheme.

I've also felt that the texture filtering in Vice City is a little bad. It always seems like the textures have a bunch of popping pixels, more so than in comparable games. I imagine this is just some minor oversight on their part, but who knows.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to using my joystick for flying and my gamepad for walking (and maybe either one for driving). Here's hoping they try to accomodate us PC gamers in that regard.

Disableling the frame limiter would alow you to do things faster then other in , for example , multiplayer games. Also , I would be happy if the PC version of GTRA SA would have 2X forced AA and AF , I just hated it to set it in the driver all the time to prevent heavyer games like BFV to run slow.

I aggree.

One thing i want to add regarding weapons.

When aiming do you think every bullet hits the exact centre spot in your crosshair? No. Weapons spray like crazy, so in the case of manualy aim the higher your weapon skills are the more accurate the bullets are to the centre of your recticle. turn.gif

That situation is a little different, since it usually refers to minor variations on how the physics affect the player. They don't completely bork the gameplay.

And I think forcing those particular display settings is a bad idea, but it does make sense to have those options be selectable in the properties.

NorthStarRock

Using the keyboard and mouse has been always faithfully re-invented from the controller for use on the PC. However in San Andreas there is a whole new wad of control functions that need to be incorporated onto the keyboard and mouse setup. Firstly, walking speed should be controlled by the mouse wheel when on foot, default is run, but rolling the mouse speed back will allow you to sneak (ala Splinter Cell). The pitch tilt buttons would control weapon cycling. Helicopters and aircraft have always been difficult to control on the PC. Control Pitch is especially hard on keyboard because you can’t half hold in the button. I think a new system is in order, where the longer you hold a pitch control button the further it tilts. So for example if you where to only tap the NUM_9 key lightly, the helicopter or plane would only slightly tilt forward and stay that way even when you release the button.

STOP YOUR BITCHING ABOUT CONTROLS AND BUY ONE OF THESE

They are soooo useful.

I wonder if Rockstar would give the fansites another "20 questions" for the PC and Xbox versions like they did for the original release? That would be cool

I like the idea about switchable auto and manual aim. But you should get at least 5 times as much weapon points for manual aim then auto. Auto aim is for n00bs...

Also, there should be more weapon spray, which can be modified by muscle and the particular weapon skill, so as the more skill and/or muscle you have, the less the particular weapon sprays.

Ap prone position would be nice... Maybe bigger garages, that don't limit vehicle count by numbers, but in space. I mean it's pretty wierd that a garage limits you to 2 vehicles. I wanna cram in 8 bikes or 4 cars, or as many that i can fit in.

Some sort of vehicle transport other that towing would be nice, like a truck that you can pack full of cars, to help with Import/Export. Then, you could put 5 cars on it and park it in a trailer-size garage.

Btw garage disappearances, the paint job wierdly disappeared from my Slamvan in the 4-car garage... Wierd.

Needs joystick support, and a better view for the tank. I want to actually use that turret, MUAHAHA.

Multiple custimizable radio stations...*slobber* inlove.gif

And get rid of all the nasssty bugs, like the tag one, when ya can't finish the tag if you ran out of paint in the middle.

Barton Waterduck

About the unlimited size of the game world for modding, have you noticed how the water textures look like on the sea ? Not good. Don't get your hopes up too high about map modding on the open seas. It may not be possible.

That's not so strange... Tribes : V , SA for PS2 , all on DVD. Who is going to distribute a game on 6 CD's these day's?

As for the contract between Sony and R*, isn't the contract they had for Vice City and GTA3 expired? I think their current contract only covered the release platform (Rockstar releasing it exclusively on PS2 for a certain period of time) I' don't think it covers anything to do with major changes in gameplay etc.?

That was my understanding, however I'm not sure on this.
