hmmm,i want many things to be included:

Graphics:

-higher resolution textures with max detail

-higher poly models

-possible SM3 support [shader model3....which all GF6800 series support]

-much bigger draw distance

-AA and AF X4-X16 full support

-HDR support [i wish... inlove.gif ]

other stuff

-a PC DVD version of the game [bah,it`ll be scarry to buy a box that contains a manual,a map,and 7+\- disks cry.gif ]

modifications

-the game will support adding Mp3,and creating your own radio stations [you`ll be able to make folders inside of your MP3 folder, that will act as radio stations, instead of an "mp3 station"]

-change skins support, but a full support, just like in GTA3 and unlike GTA:VC [in GTA:VC,the cutscenes did not support custom skins]

online support

-ability to play with two players via LAN or internet.

hmmmm,thats it

i cant really expect stunning graphics [after playing Doom3 and far cry,and soon enough-Half life2,i doubt if GTA`s engine can impress me :\ ]

Higher Res Texutres

Higher Res Models

WHOLE Liberty City to cruise around in wintertime (with or without missions,BUT with Gangs)

and something that really bugged me !

Give us the damned Las Venturas Police Suit if we get it of a Las Venturas Cop,or even better give us:

SWAT-

LS Cop-

SF Cop- (looking very similar to LS though)

LV Cop-

Offroad Cop- (!!!) [the ones driving the rangers around the badlands and desert)

FBI-

Military Woodland-

Miliatry Desert-Suits

Another important thing that bugged me was:

The Soldiers stationed in Area69 in middle of a DESERT hat woodland camo, thats not a good idea I think, also was the Woodlandcamo on C.J. trousers not really woodland and the camo-aspect was hardly noticeable, change that, please

oh,and I'd like some not that 2d-torso-clothes and desert-camo-pants

@tombcatz - read first post

So anyways, I would like Rockstar to make an object flag forcing an object to render textures on two sides. I hate those one-sided textures on certain objects in Vice City.

Okay, besides better graphics and such, here are some of the things San Andreas PC should have:

1) The ability to skip and shuffle tracks for the MP3 radio. Make it more like a tape/CD deck, and give the player the ability to change the songs around, move forward and move back a track, or at the least, allow songs to play randomly. It gets quite boring to listen to the tracks in the same order.

2) Controls: The topic creator mentioned Splinter Cell in terms of the control. Not only do I agree with them, but I have something to add.

-Like stated before, the mouse wheel should be able to scroll through speeds on foot: Going from walking to jogging to sprinting, (or still using a button on the keyboard to sprint), and while driving (To have your vehicle creep, up to speeding).

-To my understanding, the camera in San An is easier to move around with the thumbsticks. It should be made like Splinter Cell, give the player the ability to move it 360 degrees around CJ on foot (But lock into a 'behind the back' view when it is switched to a weapon). As for vehicles, this could be done, or it could stick to the more traditional camera views.

3) Replay mode: It sucked, both for 3 and VC. Very tacked on. They need to do a better mode. Give us the ability to rewind, fast forward, stop, play at certain speeds, save multiple files...I'm not asking for too extensive, like Driver, but at least doing those would make it much more appealing.

4) Skins: This was an alright feature in 3 and PC, but there needs to be more to it. Give the players more to edit and change, like preexisting clothes or something. It would be REALLY cool if we could edit or even add new tattoos and such to the game.

5) Two player mode: I've heard about it on the PS2, but on the PC, its quite a dilemma. Obviously, players wolud like to play it online, and wouldn't want it to be two players on one system. I understand that it would be difficult and time consuming to do network code for it (Plus, if they were doing network coding, why not just do a whole MP suite?)

I'd rather stick to 2 players on one system (I'll dig out my old logitech controller). And leave the MP to the mods.... MTA is doing wonders.

That's about all I can think of at the moment. If you got this far, thanks for reading. tounge.gif

Okay , I got some stuff to add.

1) Rockstar signed a contract with Sony that gives the PS2 top priority , and prevents any BIG changes from PS2 to other consoles , so things like DirectX9 shaders / ray tracing dont seem likely to happen , also , online multiplayer would propably not be there ,

2. skins , they would propably work in cutscenes because tatoos and clothes do so in the PS2 version

3. I dont expect any huge change of controlls from the PS2 version to the PC version. WASD for movement , E for entering vehicles , and maybe the mouse scroll wheel for speed of movement. The analog stick can be replaced with the arrow keys.

4. like allways , I think they will replace the sound effect like gunfire , brakes , explosions and other sounds to higher quality ones and 5.1 surround ones with EAX.

5. also ,they will propably replace all textures with higher quality ones , just like they did in GTA3 and VC.

6. They will fix some small bugs , like disk reading errors , disapearing textures , and deleted savegames. THey did in GTA3 and VC.

7. I think that this time , they WILL release SA on a DVD. I towuld be horrable installing 7 disks. ANd even more horrible , switching those disks during gameplay. By that time , DVD stations iwll be as fast as CD stations.

8. I thinkt hey will keep the multiplayer 2 person driveby , but maybe they will partner up with company's like Logitec , and give gamepad support , or one person uses the mouse , and the other uses the keyboard. Using the code provided by the built in multiplayer , I think it will be easyer for MTA and GtaT and GTA:C to create their online MP mod.

9. The requirements will be allmost the same as VC's one , the PS2 didnt get faster , did it? (Pentium 4 , 1.5GhZ , 512MB RAM and 128MB video card with DX8 support would be enough , I guess)

Anyways , I'm sure that Rockstar is going to make this one a game to be proud of. Greetz!

Why are you restating improvements already made from GTA3 to Vice City? And you have no knowledge how the computer uses the discs. It will come in three disc set, and only one for reading audio. The computer can never use DVD discs to read a game and it would be a heartbreak for modders.

True, but the install files would probably use a 3 disk set plus one "play disk" that has stuff it reads while playing like radio stations.

a DVD is not out of the question though.

DVD is not out of the question as there are quite a few games that are on DVD discs. I agree with everything else you said and I am pretty sure GTASA will be on 3 Discs.

Ummmm, isn't a 128 MB gfx card a bit over the top, Vice only needed a 32Mb and recommended a 64Mb, so i'd stay safe with 64mb one. I'd prefer a DVD Versions as to a huge CD version. Plus both of my computer both have DVD drives and a burner on my desktop.

I'd belive not to expect any special graphical imporvents as it didnt happen to 3 and Vice for one. Be more likely the normal stuff, enralging crap and such. At the moment i'm actually happy with the graphics on PS2 apart from some of the loading gliches with the LOD's not dissapering in time for the proper textures anyway.

Audio wise I think we will see the normal MP3 thing as it would be difficult ot change via something on the keyboard like the Xbox's Custom Soundtrack.

And Multiplayer wise, I think the renderware engine couldnt support LAN or On-Line multiplayer, as you'd most likely have to get rid of the traffic and such seen in MTA. Maybe Rockstar might pull some tricks out of their sleves or asses, we will have to wait and see until info arrives on this.

Well thats my opion.

Heres my wishlist

for the xbox version should it be released

Longer Radio Stations - Something for xbox owners to feel apreciated

Hard Disc Space on xbox - Rockstar can make a little city editor for us incase we get board of the current city and we just use the hard drive to edit our citys

How about a personal Walkman so when we get out of our car on the xbox version we can listen to the radios on foot

Banks in xbox version so we can save money and gain interest

Be able to upgrade your gang members guns from pistols to uzis

I completely disagree on both of your points on "Control" I LOVE auto-aim and only ocasionally use the mouse.

Mouse wheels have been known to stop working or cause problems in vice city and other PC games. Certain buttons could be assigned to different walking speeds. How about 1-5?

There is NOTHING that I can't do in a heli in VC. The controls do not need to be changed.

thats a good one , the 1 to 5 keys above the letters for walking peed , nice idea! and we still have arrows , wasd and the numpad to emulate any controller's analog sticks biggrin.gif

Games come on DVD all the time, guy. and you can get a NO-CD for it for those of us that don't want our discs scratched

and the renderware engine does support multiplayer.. it was just never officially implemented and hidden from the menu's

Look at MTA - Vice.. i've played in games up to 26 (i think that is max) people in a game at once

i hope it isnt on dvd, then i gotta go buy a dvdr just for this..., hell, i could get a ps2 for the same money... i hope the graphics are adjustable to rediculous proportions, and new audio is a MUST! the guns all sound nearly the same, like a baseballcard in bike spokes, only thing different between guns is the speed of the bike (that's somthing... modding bicycles with horns, bells, tassles, bananna seats, cards in the spokes, maybe even a nos upgrade after 100%(immagine doing 200 on a bicycle, then hitting that blur in front of you))

dude , no big changes are allowed , maybe some grapical extra apealing eye candy is added , the sounds are upgraded , but I don't think new features such as more bike upgrades or car upgrade's will be added , because they would violate the contract with Sony!

Assuming this is the same contract they had for GTA3 and Vice, it's expired. Rockstar is no longer OBLIGATED to uphold it, but they may still choose to.

As for the whole 'city-editor', you won't see that feature. For one thing, to transfer it from your PC to Xbox, Rockstar would need to implement a 'bridge', which is something Microsoft would not allow, as you could modify your Xbox without a chip. Secondly, you'd have to use the Xbox's hard drive, of which San Andreas would use a substational portition of. And finally, there are about a hundred people on the planet that would be capable of actually using that features.

Not only that the city editor is a somewhat ridiculously stupid idea in the first place.

I thought the contract was for this itteration of GTA games, that is GTA3 and close market sequels (using same technology). So San Andreas is the last game bound to the agreement.

Also the agreement applied to competing consoles only. The PC is exempt, so hypotheticaly, Rockstar could implement any changes they wanted and release it at any time.

now , thats good news biggrin.gif PC's will allways be more capable of handling any game then the consolles , which , after all , are cosidered inferiour and obselete much faster then any computer.

Umm... dunno what your sources are but this isn't true.

They were going to put Multiplayer in GTA 3 but canned it as it wasn't up to snuff. NOT because Sony told them to.

GTA 3 PC and VC XBOX have had greatly improved stuff from models to textures which the PS2 didn't get at all. Shiny cars on one platform and bland colors on another (PS2)? That's a "big change".

The contract has never prevented them from adding big changes, that's just a theory spouted off by forum goers around the world. How else do you explain better sound support than there was for PS2 in some of the other GTAs.

I'm not ruling out but not holding my breath for online multiplayer but wish Rockstar would put it in (MTA is great, but the actual developers of the game might be able to expand the internal support and have traffic WITH multiplayer.) Other graphical changes are unlikely, but are possible. Regardless, GTA SA PC will look wonderful even if it's like PS2.

I Aggree.

If Sony really did confine Rockstar to features only avalible on PS2, then there would of been NO improvements not minor ones. Also there are new features. The PC version has MP3 folder and Replays. Another sign that this is "aggrement" is not true. Where did you hear from in the first place?

Rockstar have already said that there will be no multiplayer in San Andreas ... ever. "ever" implying not on PC or XBOX.

Actually, they have a form of multiplayer on PS2, so no multiplayer isn't true.

They also said no multiplayer on PS2, not "ever". Show me where they said "ever" :-) I've been reading every article/interview and they only said no multiplayer and only in reference to the PS2 version. No word at all on PC multiplayer or lack of it.

dude , there is multiplayer , like , 2 person driveby's , and just deathmatch , but tis just one screen , no split screen or something. I just hope they keep that on the PC version , will be easyer for moders to take over that code , and create real multiplayer , I guess.
