KoLSPD2
Now, which two real life cars are the Primo and Intruder? The Euros is a Nissan 300ZX (?), and the Manana is a Dodge 2-door hatchback of some sort. Changed since its Vice City days.
KaiserChicken
People...keep in mind that Rockstar could NEVER make exact copies of the cars, due to licencing problems. That way, if you say that the Buffalo is not a Camaro, I would like you to tell me what car is it then. The Club, for instance, is clearly a VW Golf. However, there are no Golfs with the straight back, as the Club has got.

Oddsock
PLANES/CHOPPERSDodo: Cessna C150 Nevada: McDonnell Douglas DC-3 Shamal: Leer Jet Raindance: Sikorski Firebird Hydra: Harrier Hunter: Apache AT-400: Airbus A319 Just my input The Dodo looks like a 172 to me, but I'll check out what a C150 is. Shamal is specifically the LearJet 45. The Raindance looks more like an HH-60 Blackhawk to me. The HH-60 is the SAR version. Yeah, Hydra = AV8B Harrier. Hunter is the AH-64 Apache. AT-400 sounds fine. I don't know about commercial liners. You forgot the Rustler, Crop Duster, Leviathan, and Stuntplane. Rustler = P-51D Mustang. Leviathan = CH-53E Sea Stallion Stuntplane = Pitts Special Crop Duster = Well, I couldn't find any place with a Crop Duster like ours!
SVT
Freight Train: EMD GP40 I think its an SD40, Its got 6 axles. but the other locomotive is an F40PH Now, which two real life cars are the Primo and Intruder? The primo could be a late 80's/ early 90's Olds cutlass ceira, although the rear pillars do sorta resemble a toyota camry. The Intruder is either a mercury sable or a ford tempo- both could be dead on.

Like what are there names, and have you actually seen them: Huntley Bullet Turismo Merit clover tampa sunrise perrenial elegy sultan majestic super gt yosemite Huntley = Land Rover Range Rover (early 90's) Bullet = Ford GT (It looks like the new model. R* just brought it back 2 the future, IMO) Turismo = It looks the most like a Ferrari F40 Merit = Mazda 929 of the mid 90's. Might also resemble an Acura Legend also 1990's Sunrise = late 80's Pontiac Bonneville perrenia = some old turd elegy = Nissan Skyline R32. pretty rare car that you probably don't see driving around often in real life. sultan = Suburu Impressa from the mid 90's majestic = 80's Buick Regal coupe (the ones that homies and gangsters like) super gt = heavily debated. I'd say it's a hybrid between a Lotus Esprit & Mitzubishi 300GT yosemite = GMC Sierra truck from the mid 90's
LP_Reanimator
monster=ford f-150 the monster looks more like a Chevy S-10. check the front & back lights mostly. an F-150 doesn't have lights like that. Only an S-10 has those kinds of lights.

Gman8
GTAIII was unorganized compared to it's 2 newer counterparts. The cars were not really based on any car in particular, it just took characteristics of some cars and combined it with others. Example: Many people will tell you that the Sentinal is based off of the BMW 5 series. But the 5 series didn't have a back that looked like that. It looked more like a Mitsubishi Diamante when you consider the overall car. And the Manana looked kinda like a Chevy and a Dodge hybrid. VC was the game where most every car was based off of a real car. You could tell off the bat where the Corvette was, the firebird, the lambo, the lincoln, etc. In SA, R* took the 2 games and combined them. We had cars that looked exactly like a real life car (Bullet, Huntley, Emperor, Majestic, Greenwood, Sabre, etc) and then we had cars that looked plain, generaic and not really like anything in life, but just a combination of cars (Willard, Intruder, Banshee, etc). chris_89883
damn lawyers and copyright laws! yeah i know but toyko extreme got away with it of course you didnt drive over homos either With the amount & variety of cars in GTA, it would have caused R* a fortune to get a license to use them all. And it would be a lot like the music in that certain songs got left out because they just cost too much. Well, a lot of neccessary vehicles would have gotten left out as well. I'd much rather R* have Mock-ups of vehicles instead of investing oodles of $$$ for a brand name. It would just mean less money to invest into the actual game. Also... in a game like this, I'm sure that a lot of companies wouldn't want their name associated with such carnage. A simple racing game, they'd be all gung-ho. But it's different when people are seeing their vehicles involved in murders & prostitution, etc. It just gives a bad image to the company, so I'm sure they'd jack the prices up Sky High for the use of their name. (or else just say F*ck you R* and not even consider it.) you know how much money rockstar made off SA? 5.2 mill copies x 50$ each would be 260 million dollars, im sure they could have afforded it
deadkennedyskickass
The Sabre is clearly a 1970-1972 Chevelle, or Malibu. Since GM owns Pontiac also, the car could also be based upon a 1970-1972 GTO. The Buccaneer closely resemble a mid sixties Malibu, Chevelle, GTO, or any other GM A- body offered during that time. The Hustler is based upon an early Ford of some kind, obviously modified because no early ford could produce that much horsepower. The Cheetah looks to me like a Ferrarri Testerosa. The Sabre could also be some kind of Oldsmobile A-body.
