DazzaJay
lol.... and here comes the GM / Ford war. lots of people have helped out with that page of his, its not just his oppinion in there. (even a few vehicles that i have identified in there (search page for DazzaJay) drop him an email about the Stallion. But if you ask me, even the name "Stallion" is in reference to a "Mustang" as both are Horses. [email protected]
zmoonchild
lol.... and here comes the GM / Ford war. There's no war here, you're inferring something from my response that doesn't exist. There are crappy Fords and crappy GM's. I own a 75 Chevy Impala which I like a lot, as well as my Mustangs and my XB Falcons; I would never get rid any of them. I am a classic car man, I don't subscribe to one particular make. lots of people have helped out with that page of his, its not just his opinion in there. So you say, but I could also say that lots of people would agree with me, like the people in the Mustang Club that I'm a member of. I've shown the Stallion to them, and they say it doesn't look like a Mustang. But if you ask me, even the name "Stallion" is in reference to a "Mustang" as both are Horses. So, you're telling me that the vehicles in San Andreas look like real cars, based solely on their names? That makes no sense at all. Based on that logic, the Bobcat, which is a small pickup truck, should resemble the Mercury Bobcat from the 70’s, and the Comet, which looks like a Porsche, should look like a Mercury Comet; which neither of them resembles. DazzaJay
i didnt say ALL cars share names that reference thier real life counterparts. but quite a few doo. Stallion - Mustang - Both are horses - The car looks like a hodge podge of Multiple models of mustang, not just one. Club - Volkswagen Golf..... - Golf... Club. Get it? Phoenix - Trans Am - (Some models of the Trans Am Had a Massive Phoenix on the hood) ZR350 - RX7 - Both random letters and numbers. Linerunner - Freightliner - See if you can spot that one. im not saying this applies to all cars, as it obviously dosent, but it does apply to some. And for the Rustler, I think it's discussed billion times before, it's based on a North American P-51 Mustang (About Razorback? P-51B Mustang/A-36 Apache has a Razorback) Spitfire- British used D-Day symbol with their own camoflauge, so no, and engine placement doesn't match, also armament doesn't match. Curtiss P-40 Warhawk- Razorback doesn't match, P-40 did nothing with D-Day, They have camoflauge until reitrement. And, For the name patton, it may apply to some, but what about those? I think this match: Jester->Supra (alright, reading them makes their names quite similar if you ask me) But these do not: Sultan->Impreza WRX?! Elegy->Skyline GT-S?!?! Bullet->(Ford) GT?? Rhino->(M1) Abrams??? (Beast VS Human) OR refer to GTA3/VC->(M3) Lee/Grant (Beast VS Human again)

Stefan.
is there even a car based on the 1997 AMC Pacer? Nope. The Pacer that you're talking about looks vastly similar to the Blista, in a way, but that's 'cause I guess they have a vaguely similar shape. That's all. Zyo
I want to discuss the bikes only. Here is my list: COPBIKE/HPV - BMW K1100 The BMW was my first though but after considering other posts here I admit it may be a Kawasaki KZ1000 BF400 - Honda CBR400 The fairing is deceptive here. I am certain its not a Ducati. The BF has a beam frame and twin headlights. The only other bike it is similar to is a VFR400 but they never had the odd-looking little half fairing. The late 80s CBR400 was available half-faired/naked. WAYFARER - Honda Goldwing No room for discussion here FAGGIO - Vespa Also the pizzaboy. NRG500 - Honda NR 500/750 Again, not a Ducati. Common opinions are a 916 but as this was not introduced until 1994 I rule it out. IMHO it is a big Honda Race rep in the NR series. I think the 750 is a better choice as the 500 was a few years out of date and the 750 was such an outrageous and rare road version of the race bike. FCR900 - Kawasaki ZXR750 This is one of the harder ones to tie down to a specific model but I am going with a ZXR (for now, I may change my mind). Not a CBR900. It just looks nothing like it. Other possibilities are a Suzuki GSX750 or Yamaha FZR. I am siding with the Kawasaki as all the details are right. Exhaust is on the right side, sportsbike beam frame, twin headlights in the faired version and aggressive exhaust note (ZXRs are known for this). Only problem is the motor looks like a v-twin and I cant think of any beam-framed twins. SANCHEZ - Yamaha DT125 Could also be Honda CR125, very similar bikes PCJ600 - Yamaha XJ600 The nose and the pipes coming out and down at the front give this away as a Yamaha XJ600 Diversion. It looks just like a Suzuki TL1000 but this didn't appear until 1997 so I rule it out. FREEWAY - I like to think it is a Harley simply because of the sound, but the styling is more japanese. It looks more like a Dragstar or even a Virago. EJFX
The buffalo also could be a Ford Mustang... It is. Regradless nice list The Buffalo is DEFINITELY a 3rd gen Camaro. The headlights are the only part that doesn't resemble a Camaro. Agreed...there is no Mustang or Daytona in the Buffalo

EJFX: Specifically, the 3rd Gen Camaro Z28 On-topic: Does anyone knows whether the Sultan is based on a Mitsu Lancer Evo or Scooby STi? yeah but look at this http://www.autosalon-singen.de/photos/lanc...05_07_08_02.jpg http://www.historiasdelmotor.com/images/20...ta-giugiaro.jpg and another opinion: about the sabre, it is half an oldsmobile 442 and half a 70' chevrolet chevelle ss it has the same headlights its obvious. I bet my life on it. I've got an argument. look at the vice city sabre, its similar than the san andreas sabre, but it has a diference in the lights on the back of the car, take a look by yourself and you wont say the VC sabre is an oldsmobile, in VC is completely a chevelle. Noize_320
about the AT-400, i think its a 737-300 or 500 (800 is bigger and newer...think 1992), but it looks narrow (A320-like body but the tail is obviously Boeing)

wolf3188
In both this game and GTA III, my fav has been the Banshee. But I don't understand why people call it a Viper. There's hardly anything Viper-like about it. It's a Shelby 427 Cobra. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. This time, the Infernus seems to have turned from a Ferrari in previous games to a really-close-for-not-licensed Acura/Honda NSX. The Bullet is somewhat akin to the GT-40, but I think it's closer to some versions of the Shelby Mustangs. Also, the Buffalo looks more to me like a late 70s/early 80s Mazda RX-7. Not much like a Camero. Nah, man. The GTA III Banshee is definitely a Viper. Seriously. It's completely obvious. When the Viper came out, a lot of people compared it to the Shelby Cobra, but they're not very similar in the looks department. Also, the Buffalo is definitely a Third Gen Camaro. You can tell by the sides and back, especially. This got nothin to do with the post, but, OMG I LOVE THOSE PICS I LOVE THAT CAR
wolf3188
I see your point, they look very similar. The Solair doesn't have a carrier on the roof, though - but I suppose that ain't necessarily standard on your Austin either, so perhaps, yes. I think the solair looks like a holden commodore, obviously from australia at least from the back. And the stratum, I know this doesn't fit here, looks like a mid 90's merc.
