Stuck on Supply Lines...? LOOK HERE! GUIDE!

Recommended Posts

I must be the master because I stomped this mission on try number 2, never gave it a second thought until I saw this 7 page long thread,WOW. My GTA skills will soon be available for hire, if only I could get paid for the 10 hours a day,ahh well... cool.gif

Okay, the topic doesn't need THAT much bumping. At least be subtle about it. You may notice one of the topic contributors finds something to post about it once or twice a day... wink.gif

Look on your minimap when you start the mission. Note the location of the farthest 2 targets. Check again when you're headed back to them. They move fairly randomly, so any Downtown intersection has a good chance of being close to them at some point. Somewhere in the upper-left is where I parked when I beat the mission (the van drove towards me from the east and I shot it from the ground).

This mission sucks a donkeys nut! it's relatively simple...but so frustrating

on my 6th try i finally killed all the couriers but had no gas to get back, now if its a RC airplane why the f*ck would you have to bring it back...that zero's voice is so annoying i wish you could beat the f*ck out of him

Great guide!!

I basically had the same plan as you mention. The only difference being that I wasn't flying high enough over the buildings, so I wasted fuel maneuvering around. I can't believe how rediculous this mission was. Even after reading the guide, it still took me another 6 tries to beat this. I don't know how you could possibly manage to kill the first 4 with half fuel. By the end of it I was doing the first three pretty much flawlessly, and the closest I could get is maybe 2 blocks away from the 4th guy before reaching half fuel. Every time I did this mission I still had about 6 blocks to go back when I ran out of fuel. The time that I beat it, I somehow managed to coast in to the marker EXACTLY when I was out of fuel. I was on completely empty for about 8 feet. Literally a second or two longer & I'd have never made it.

This mission sucked. Well at least I'm done with it forever, and breazed through the last of his missions. Anyways, this is a fantastic guide, so......

bump bump bump

Out of Zero's missions I found the first one the hardest, I did the second one on my fourth attempt, it was just a matter of finding a pattern and the last one was a piece of cake, I did that first go with just under 3 mins to spare. Maybe I didn't find them so tedious because I liked the RC missions in VC except for the stupid helicopter in the airport that one took a while due to the stupid handling.

Anyway good guide, it seems like a lot of people needed it cookie.gif

*EDIT*

BTW after you complete Zero's missions if you go back in the shop and out the back there is a side mission called Beefy Baron were you use the Red Baron to take out as many RC vans as possible in 3 mins.

Could a moderator PLEASE pin this thread? It is really really annoying to see at least 2 new threads about this mission every fricking day. At least the link of this thread to the FAQ. rolleyes.gif

Agreed

For a lot of people these missions are hard and it's good to have some sort of guide that is actually helpful to them. Maybe not a pin but at least add it to the FAQ.

Dodge Boy City

I did it after about 5 goes, but like other people have said, i thought "Air Raid" was much tougher. The final Zero mission was probably my favourite one to do so far - it was just good fun!!!

Is there anyone that has completed the game yet? If so, is "Supply Lines" the hardest mission in the game???

DBC rolleyes.gif

indeed, its a weird mission, some people have no trouble, to the point they don't even think about it as a hard mission, some people have more trouble with this than getting gold on the driving school. but hey, the harder it is, the better you feel when you beat it!

Definantly deserves a pin now.

On a side note, if anyone has a modchipped PS2 and a burner, open up /DATA/SCRIPT/main.scm with a hex-editor, and look at hex offset 001C9CD2, and change the 32-bit float from 100.0 to 1000.0.

Bang, you've now got ten times as much fuel.

I've tried this, but I have no DVDs my PS2 will read. Anyone else want to try this with proper blank disks?

PEOPLE!!

I just finished Supply Lines. hooray for me...

But, if you want to be the mission a bit more easier--> wait for about an hour / hour and a half before taking off...

All the couriers are then in easier positions. Ttwo of them on a long road the rest of them or on the the route you must make. the last one. is in the east at the highways if you finish him. You are only about one minute flying away from Zero's roof...
