Stuck on Supply Lines...? LOOK HERE! GUIDE!

So I killed it the first time I tried today. I spent about 20,000 modding some car just messing around and I thought well, I'll go try it and beat it now that I've wasted 1/4 of my cash. Sure thing, it happened with just fumes left. Oh well, it's done and done now.

i managed to do it second time - having failed it the first time, my only advice really would be to be nice and quick and come up behind the couriers and then land and then shoot the hell outta them. If you kill the first two effectively with lots of fuel left, you should be ok

I don't know how accurate the location map is, but just park it at an intersection in Downtown (check your in game map) and be patient. The whole issue is that sometimes the last two targets move ass-far away and you can't reach them with such limited fuel. The trick I used is parking and waiting for them to come CLOSER -- both to you, and to each other. The people who beat this mission quickly are the ones who get lucky and come upon the last two targets fairly close together.

The question that I pose to you is this: does a higher flying skill stat make the RC plane easier to control, or is it just the experience of flying a plane in GTA that carries over to make the mission easier?

Oh, and *bump*. People are starting to make new topics about this again.

I believe this mission is flawed in many aspects. First off the couriers are too far apart and the handling on the RC is horrible. Furthermore, you shouldn't have to fly all the damn way back. The mission should just end there. There is no way in hell that this mission should be this hard. It's just a game not the GMAT or something!!

It took me about 8 try's to pass it, the good thing is if you fail, the mission is right there, you dont have to drive back across town.

Anyone who passed the mission just got LUCKY, just like IntelliCow said, it all depends on the distance between to cariers. The last 2 are always the hardest, because they are located in the tight part of the city, the last van is always pretty much far away from the Sanchez.

I was pretty much like 1-2 seconds away from failing the mission when I was going back to the building, I just let go of the throttle just to save the last drop of fuel.

Those of you who haven't passed it, keep in mind that you can make your own luck. If you park and wait, you won't use any fuel, and you can let the last 2 targets get close enough together that you can take 'em both out without wasting the fuel you need to get home. The distance between those targets will make or break your mission. Fly behind 'em or land and shoot, use whichever you feel more comfortable with.

If GTARyan's nice and meticulous location map is inaccurate (we appreciate the effort, believe me), that only goes to show that there is a strong random element in which routes the targets in this mission choose. However, the last 2 targets will meander close together in the Downtown area on occasion, and that is the time to strike. Park the plane and grab a coke/beer/whatever, because these guys are very good about obeying the goddamn traffic lights.

Passed it after about an hour of trying.

The first time I barely made it to the 5th guy and killed him and found out that I had to get back to the roof as well.

That pissed me off. biggrin.gif

The way I finally did it:

I started out by killing the guy in the van closest to you (straight and to the left of you) then getting the guy on the bike. After that I took a right and got the other van.

Then I went across town landed behind the Sanchez, killed 'em, and got the last van (who happened to be fairly close to the Sanchez guy), and killed him.

Flew up high and dove down in bursts.

Got back with maybe a 1/6th fuel remaining.

Glad to have gotten that mission out of the way.

It pissed me the f*ck off. lol.gif

The Untouchable
After trying this mission about 30 times and failing I was so mad I nearly broke my ps2 controller and ripped my brady guide up but after reading this I got it first time thanks great guide. colgate.gif

wow.gif

That was a bit over the top tounge.gif I got mad but never thought of ripping my guide up! *Holds it*

Congratz on completing it anyway biggrin.gif

i hate this motherf*cking mission! i've beat everything in LV and i'm back is LS, but i can't beat this damn mission. I can get the first 3 and barely loose any gas, but by the time i make it to the sanchez i have about 1/2 a tank, then the last van is f*cking forever away and i never have enough fuel to make it back. this guide doesn't even help me.. any better ideas i could use?

Hmmm... I dunno... land and park? Wait for the van to come near you? And read all six pages of the guide thread? dozingoff.gif

We must spread Untouchable's light to the huddled masses. Bump.

The guide doesn't help you because it's sh*t. Who ever bought it, why? The game is taken of it's fun!

It's like you going down for breakfast in the morning and your mum waiting there with a spoon ready to feed you! Why don't you just play the game without it?

Only the words of people who have played the game like us can give you the proper help. The guides are a waste of money. Maybe you should rip it up. Rather than break your pad, snap your fingers. Hell might as well start wacking yout head on the cobble dash wall while you're there.

As for lucky, I doubt it, it takes skill to fly that plane, and I got the hang of it after a few goes, As for the targets, I head for the nearest ones by pausing it and checking the map. It was killing them that troubled me. On my lsat go I killed them, and it said now I have to fly back! That's when I made myself do it. That would've made me mad if I failed that time. I didn't get mad once whenI failed, I just laugh, since you don't have to drive there to do it again it's quick to restart.
