Stuck on Supply Lines...? LOOK HERE! GUIDE!

Recommended Posts

i finally beat it!!!!!! i was lucky enough to have found both the last 2 targets in the same spot!!!!!! i stayed high enough to avoid having to move around buildings and wasting the fuel, shot them from high up, you got unlimited bullets so just start shooting once you see that your plane is close enough on the map to the target, none of them "took off" when i attacked.

Stop f*cking double post, man.  You don't need to bump the topic every 10 mins.  Anyway, good guide.

Actually, i do. Don't you see how useful the topic is to people? How is it useful if it's 3/4 down the page or on the second one? People won't search for it often, they'll just make new topics if they don't see one talking about it straight away. That's why it needs to stay up top. Thanks anyway.

Then be smart about it, and ask Tehhunter to add it to the FAQ topic, that would be a little better instead of breaking rules, no?

Not many of the members are going to want to sift through 5 pages of FAQ to find the guide. They will much rather post and make a topic about it. This way, it's easier to see. I already got a PM from a moderator telling me not to bump it, but it's either that or more topics. And the reason i bump it all the time is because no one else does. I would appreciate it if people who benefited from this guide, bump it some time. Save me getting in trouble, members making loads of topics on the same thing and generally help out people who are stuck.

The Untouchable
why dont u ask to have it pinned?

Although the topic is useful, it doesn't need a pin. Just needs to be bumped by people. I've got a PM from a moderator saying i should ask tehhunter to put it in the FAQ topic in this forum but i doubt it'll get noticed much. Don't get me wrong, if a moderator wants to pin this topic, by all means do. It'll stop me getting into trouble when i'm just trying to help people by bumping the topic to the top of the pile dozingoff.gif

Oh, you guys are doing my head in!

I just got done trying this mission 10 times. On my last attempt, I flew perfectly, did all my killing in one pass and was TWO FEET away from the red blip when I ran out of fuel. Being that this would mean the mission was unpassable, I knew I was missing something. So what did I do? Came to SA Gameply and SEARCHED for Supply Lines. Found it right off...

@Untouchable: When I saw that somebody went and wrote a guide for a mission I felt was quite frustrating (I kept thinking "Oh God, this is going to be the bane of Save N Play SA"), I was wondering if maybe it was time to pull out a star for you. Then I see EIGHT MINUTE bumps??! notify.gif Spamming and arguing with other members? The answer is no; you don't bump. No, you're not allowed to decide that YOUR thread is so much better than all the others that you can bump it, etc. If it's important or helpful, people will reply. That replying will keep it at the top. Not that it needs to stay at the top. You've already admitted it's a hard mission, so people will be coming here searching for it. I did. And they'll reply it as they find it, and not necessarily 2 minutes after you post just because you'd like to see some reaction. Now I have to go through and prune this topic up, and I'd rather be off to test the things I've learned here confused.gif Rest assured that if this topic wasn't helpful, your shenanigans would warrant a lock easily. And have you even considered asking tehhunter to add it to his first post? Then not only would it be readily available regardless, it would also curb your worries of it being on a later page in an FAQ thread.

No, sitting on the ground uses no fuel.  It's mostly useful if the two far targets are way far away, and their route will take them back to you so you don't have to track them down.

This was by far the most useful post in this topic (to me). I didn't realize you only used fuel when moving and I didn't think to camp and wait. Combined with Untouchables reco to fire point blank, I actually feel confident I can do something about this now smile.gif

@Osirus: Appreciate the concern, but you should just report it and move on. Otherwise you risk (as you can see) provoking him into reacting, defending himself, etc.

Pruned.

YEEEESSSSSS! I DID IT! Finally.

the same thingt happened to me i got to the place and like a sec b4 i reached the red circle i ran outta gas,man was i pissed.so i tryed again and PASSED with a tiny bit of fuel too.

after 30 f*ckin trys i finally did it.

i hope thats the hardest mission in the game, cuz it set me back a whole days worth of mission playin.

Thanks for the guide! I'm still dreading the damn thing.

One question I've searched for and have gotten differing answers is whether or not the Zero missions are part of the main story line that needs to be completed before Las Venturas opens.

Some say yes, some say no.

Opinions?

One question I've searched for and have gotten differing answers is whether or not the Zero missions are part of the main story line that needs to be completed before Las Venturas opens.

No, LV opens without it. In fact, in a later story mission in LV, Zero says, "It's just like fighting Berkely, only bigger", even though at that point I hadn't finished Supply Lines; this made very little sense, since the mission was about picking stuff up in a heli, like in the mission AFTER Supply Lines. I think the only reason you MUST finish Zero's missions is to get that frickin' Z off your radar.

I want to wish everyone at Rockstar a slow and painful death for this bogus, uselss mission, I'd rather be kicked in the nuts repeatedly by an angry bull than to ever have to fly that POS Barom...

And I've been going at this mission all morning, and its STUPIDly HARD!

Well, i can't say anything other than sorry. I thought i was doing the right thing by keeping the topic in the upper part of the forum but i guess it was wrong. I could of got a star for this? Cool. Also, i wasn't arguing with anyone... I was simply having a discussion with them. I doubt that you see ANY profanity in those posts. I'm not that kind of guy. You might of saw it as arguing but that's because you don't know me and you don't know how i wanted to lay down my posts in the way i did. So don't say i'm arguing with other members and i think my thread is so much better than everyone elses. It's the most informative and has helped most people who've read it into completing the mission.

Glad to see its working for most people, though! biggrin.gif

Untouchable,

I didn't read your guide until after beating Supply Lines. It's good stuff. One thing you can add (though it may frustrate some) is that if the last two are in the same proximal vicinity (and you take them out quickly) then that "could" be the deciding factor concerning whether you make it to the blip. This is not an absolute. Still, it's good to be honest w/ people about what helps.

lol... a few more days of playing and this is STILL the hardest mission I've seen in the game, as well as the most-started topic on the forums. Bump.

Optime, like I said, if the last two targets aren't close to each other, park it and wait. They're slow, and they cover a large area, but they'll come back to around the same intersection in SW Downtown if you wait long enough.

1) Pop cyclist to the left first from the air.. don't land. taking off eats up fuel.

2) circle the block clockwise.. take out van.. once again from the air.

3) down and take out the pain in the ass van (ie the one that shoots at you)

I set it down behind that one... takes alot of shots and it helps to be right there.

4)Get some elevation quick and head for the north ones.. Hoping they get semi- close together. Watch em.. if they are going opposite directions and aren't close.. kill the mission and start over.

5) Land to kill the motorcycle

6) take out the last van.. from air if possible if not.. park and shoot.

7) take off get elevation to fly in a dead straight line.

(one of the things.. i kind of wanted to try but never did was seeing if could land the plane on another car or the trolley perhaps and hitch a ride. I figured it would bounce off so i never bothered but someone might want to give it a go.)

Sort of what I did, but different order.

1) Dive bomb the first van heading the same direction that you start out. You have to do a little bank to the left, then down on top of him. When you pull out you have nice speed and are heading toward the loc of 2nd van.

2) Like above, I landed for the next van and got close behind.

3) Take out BMX courier from the air. May need slight adjustment to hit courier when he steps off bike.

Fly NE to other 2. Good flying skills help here. Fly over buildings and not around them.

4) As above, land to kill motorcycle. They will take off fast when hit, stay close and keep firing.

5) I did land for the last van too.

Hopefully, you aren't too far away. Head back over buildings. Land on Zero's roof. I don't think you have to actually hit the red signal, just get too roof.

The trick for me was getting the first 3 done quickly. Not landing for each did the trick. As well as general flying practice.

I wish I had known about sitting and waiting for them to come, although I'm not typically that patient.

All that time I could have saved if I had known that.

Listen to Intellicow, all you forum readers who are stuck on supply lines. This is very good advice for taking out the last two.

I'm glad this guide is working for most people.

Maybe someone could pin it? It is pretty important because it guides you through one of the hardest missions in the game with ease.

Get tehhunter to stick it in his original post for the FAQ, Lifes a beach mission is in there, people had troubles with that, between the two of you, you could even create a little section for advice on hard missions, Lifes a beach, Supply lines, Just business etc etc. Get me? Use ya nozzle boy tounge.gif
