Stuck on Supply Lines...? LOOK HERE! GUIDE!

Recommended Posts

You'll just have to be very fast in killing all the couriers, or else you won't make it. There are a few different ways to complete this mission, I have to say I did it a little bit different as mentioned above. The main thing you need to complete this mission is luck.

HEY, UNTOUCHABLE, YOU ARE A GOD! I had been stuck on this for weeks (and weeks) and just left it, then read your guide and passed it on my 3rd try last night! I also think it helps having done the flying school.

I am forever in your debt!

I had to join this forum just so I could post in this thread. I must have tried that mission 60 times and never could do it. I tried getting the couriers in different order, waiting at different places for the couriers to get close, I wasn't even coming close to completing it. Then something I read here last night prompted me to try the mission again and I passed it on the first try.

The key was a post where someone (edit: thanks ZiggyTosh) said "keep it floored" because the meter goes down at the same rate whether you are pressing the gas or not. In other words, the "fuel meter" is not a measure of gas consumption, IT'S A TIMER! The timer runs if you are in the air. So while the mission is untimed, your flight time is limited. I was trying to fly all slow and low and not use the throttle except when I had to and that was basically wasting all my flying time not getting anywhere. If you keep the throttle pinned you'll be going faster and will not spend as much time getting to the different couriers. I probably had about 1/10 of my gas left when I set it down on Zero's roof. Unbelievable how easy that was. suicidal.gif

Thanks everyone that posted here, I'm glad to be rid of the Z on my map!

haha i'm soo proud of myself. i just beat supply lines for the second time... and i beat if for my friend too. tounge.gif ---this time something funny happened, the guys riding the Sanchez both got knocked of their bike by a car as i was approaching them... then as they were running back to get on their bike, i mowed em down! happy.giflol.gif

While this guide is nice, the only way to beat this is to kill the couriers on sight, and to never get your plane stuck on the ground. Really. It does help to realize when the couriers are going to die ane start moving on rather than wait for the message.

I tired it 10 times now, but I still can't pass it. Then I tried 2 more times with the guide, I managed to kill all the couriers but just when I was returning to Zero's R/C shop I ran out of gas. So can anyone tell me how to save gas when trying to reach the sanchez and the last van?

1.40am - Read The Untouchables guide (after around 4-5 tries...realised i was doing it just as the guide mentioned).

1.47am - Started mission "Supply Lines..."

2.10am - Kinda frustrated after 3 tries and no luck (killed all couriers, but just couldnt reach the landing!!)

2.15am - Started 4th retry....mission failed...less than 4secs away from the red marker. Out of fuel mad.gif

2.20am - Last try for the night. Made it! With a lil fuel to spare as well!

2.30am - Go to bed...content at last!!

Just a bit of advice, contrary to the guide. I found flying closer to the ground, or at low altitudes, better than flying high. It doesnt save much fuel but gets u to your location much faster.

@The Untouchable...if your still maintaining this guide, u might wanna look into it

Cheers! biggrin.gif

I'm still having a bit of trouble.

I can kill all the couriers, but when it comes to heading back to Zeros place, i run out of fuel.

What would help? Does the fuel just work like a time limit or does the fuel go down faster if you hold X, fly higher, etc etc? How am I supposed to fix this?

I agree with most of the ppl here, it is definately one of the hardest missions in SA. I couldnt do it at all, but after getting all golds in flight school, I improved my flighting skill a lot. (plane control skill that is since i donno if the actually "flight skill" shown in your status meue makes a different). When i finally completed the mission, i felt it wasnt that bad at all. I then helped my buddy beat the mission in his game within the first three tries.

my tips for the mission is

1. do NOT get frustrated, if your already in the frustrated mood, do other missions or just go on a killin spree.

2. use the left analog VERY softly. The RC plane flies somewhat like the stunt plane in your airstrip.

3. land before u shoot, its well worth the time and effort for it, especially for the sucker on the bike.

dont give up and u will eventully beat it, good luck fellas!

(one of the things.. i kind of wanted to try but never did was seeing if could land the plane on another car or the trolley perhaps and hitch a ride. I figured it would bounce off so i never bothered but someone might want to give it a go.)

I tried this several times, attempting to land on the trolley or various vehicles, but the Bandit is just too hard to control (in my opinion) at slower speeds.

Heck, I attempted to use the trolley to push the Bandit around by parking on the tracks, and waiting for the trolley to come around and push me. Luckily, the Bandit seems to be only damageable by bullets and maybe even running into things yourself. I even experimented with various positioning of the Bandit so that it wouldn't get pushed out of the way of the trolley, but it would travel down the tracks. Needless to say, that strategy wasn't very sucessful.

And after sifting through 16 pages of this thread, to the people who pointed out that the mission is almost anticlimatic after doing the flight school, you are SO correct! I was starting to get frustrated again, then left the mission for a while. After doing the flight school (and scoring mostly golds, with a few silvers), Supply Lines was easy. Took me three tries, and the first 2 failures were my own fault (kept getting blown up by the guy on the Sanchez).

I would be willing to bet a good majority of the people who "did the mission on their first try" did it later in the game.

i got another way... for the 1st 3, last 2 are the same.

Hit the 1st van right away, blow it up, dont worry about the guy inside. When the van blows, he will die, assuming you dont miss.

Then get the BMX kid just get behind him and shoot

Then follow the road that the BMX turns right on until you get to the van that runs, it should be stopped at a red light. Now land about 1/4block ahead of the intersection and taxi in front of the van while its still at the intersection, you should be about in the middle of the intersection but in the same lane as the van. Face the van, open fire, it can't get around usually because of on coming traffic and people turning and such. So when it catches fire, let it go get the last 2.

no way in real life a gangsta will hang out with a nerd like Zero.

Yah, and CJ sure the hell isn't like a real life gangsta.

He's a damn PUSH-OVER!

He's almost worse than Fido ... I said almost... because at least CJ talks back! tounge.gif

Sometimes. I can't believe Rockstar made a protagonist look so much like a pussy sometimes. Catalina almost makes him crap his pants. Tenpenny slugs him in the stomach. Toreno won't stop f*cking with him. T-Bone puts a gun to his head and CJ doesn't do anything except choke and catch his breath when T-Bone lets him go. I'm sure I could go on, but you all get the point. I still say Tommy Vercetti was the man. He didn't take crap from nobody! *lol* However, that's an argument for another thread... biggrin.gif

Oh, and to be on topic, has anyone else given Supply Lines a try AFTER completing the flying school? I did it that way, and suddenly the hardest mission in the game went from a 7/5 difficulty level to about 2/5. Just my opinion, though, I was hoping someone else could give it a try and see what they think...

For anyone who reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally wants to complete this mission soon! ... AND doesn't mind cheating a bit....

Use the Speed Up Motion cheat ... someone suggested it before and I just wanted to say .. YES YES it does work! It makes you go fast... and the Fuel doesn't go down as fast!

I beat it the 2nd time after trying it that way... the only problem is crashing because its harder to control at a high speed but its great when going from target to target.

Anyways... It's up to you. biggrin.gif

Well to tell you the truth I really had no problem with this mission. It took me 2 tries then I beat it. The hardest one for me was the one stupid mission where you had to shoot down burkleys planes and prevent him from destroying Zero's radio antennas. That was the only real challenges in the game for me. tounge.gif

very good guide, sure to help lots of people since the mission is surely one of the hardest in the game. stupid fuel always ran out, only took a dozens of tries to complete it.

by the way; the vehicle you're using in the mission is Baron, not Bandit. Bandit is the RC car Zero controls in his last mission.
