The Untouchable
Zero Missions - Supply Lines… What a hard mission, eh? Rock solid at first, but quite simple when you actually complete it. Things to consider! There are 3 vans, 1 Sanchez and 1 courier on a BMX. 2 vans and 1 Sanchez are bullet-sensitive. This is described and mentioned in the guide. The plane is very hard to control. It’s best to use the L2 & R2 buttons to turn and the left analog to dive and sharp turn. Although, sharp turning is NOT recommended with this Bandit. The RC Bandit isn’t very tough. If you crash too much or get shot many times, it’ll blow. Then it’s mission failed. Flying and shooting at the same time are difficult. Especially when chasing the enemy. Not recommended. When using the analog stick to control the Bandits turns, use it softly. Pushing it up/down/left/right straight away can cause bad results. It’s safer to use it softly. It’s easy to mess up in the Bandit as it handles awfully. You can spend a long time on the floor, just twisting around trying to get a run up to lift off of the floor. It’s get annoying after a while because it wastes fuel. Keep your head on. You’ll probably get very stressed at this mission. I did. Just keep trying and after around 10 tries, sit and cool down. While you’re cooling down, think of ways of how you can do better and which blips to go for (I’d recommend using the ones in this guide though). Try your best. You’ll do it eventually. Here’s the guide:-When you start, don’t go North. Go towards the van behind you but DON’T target courier first. Get the BMX going down the other road. Start to shoot the guy on the BMX. When he’s on the BMX, he’s invincible. Wait for him to jump off then kill him. Easy. Turn around and go after the first van (the one you flew past to get at the guy on the BMX). It’s quite hard to turn in the Bandit in the tight street space but if you can’t do that, land and turn on the floor until you’re in the right position. Now that you’re out of the street and on the vans tail, you can either land right behind the van and shoot it or shoot it from above. The driver jumps out and falls flat on his face, blast him. Note: You don't need to blow up the van when the courier is dead. Just kill the courier. Now that the courier is dead, go after the next van. It’s about two blocks away. Fly through the streets or over the buildings. Which ever you prefer. When you reach the van, make sure you don’t land or fly in front of it. He’ll spot you and drive away at high speed. Instead, land behind the van, go right up close (so you’re under the bumper) and start blasting. Of course, if you stayed there while you shoot the van, you’d get blown up when the van does. Reverse away from the vehicle (keep shooting). Make sure you’re going in a straight line though, you don’t want to start swerving out of control and losing the van because if it doesn’t get blown up fast, it’ll drive away, quickly. It’s best to do this on corners or at traffic lights but seeing as they drive relatively slow (when they don’t know you’re there) you’ll be ok. 3 down! 2 to go! Fly up, turn around and head North. Make sure you’re high enough so you can evade most buildings so you 1) Don’t have to make a sudden jolt upwards to avoid smashing into a wall, 2) Don’t have to weave in and out of streets and 3) Saves fuel and you keep a constant speed so you’re using your fuel efficiently. Go to the nearest red blip. It’s usually the Sanchez. The Sanchez is the off-road motorcycle and is bullet-sensitive. What I mean is that if you fire even ONE bullet in its direction whether it hits or not, it’ll speed away. This Sanchez has two people on. A driver and a gunner. Watch out for the gunner because the Bandit can blow up VERY easily. It is very frustrating, believe me. The Sanchez is in an area where there are traffic lights. Nearly every time I arrived, they were waiting at traffic lights, PERFECT. Make sure they don’t see you and land behind them. Go up close, but not right up to the back wheel and commence shooting. As you know, Sanchez’s can pelt away pretty quick, but this one doesn’t. You’ve got like a 2-4 second time gap before it gathers its momentum and pulls away. USE IT. Stay stationary and fire at the bike. If it moves a little, press L2 or R2 to follow it. DON’T USE LEFT ANALOG!! If you time your shooting right, position correctly and don’t worry, you’ll have it sorted. 4 down! 1 to go! This van is quite a way away. Don’t worry though, I was at just over ½ a tank of fuel at this point. If you’ve got that amount, don’t get frustrated. If you’re under ½ or just hitting it, you can't really mess up from this point. Fly down the street and pick up altitude so you can fly over the buildings below. It saves time, fuel and worrying about hitting buildings and dodging obstacles. You’ll notice that the next red blip is about 3-4 blocks away. When you arrive at the area that the van is in, do what you did to the other vans. Park up behind it, under the bumper. This is a van that if you don’t blow it up fast, it’ll drive away at top speed and you’ve got little chance of blowing it up. So, if it gets away, mission failed. Try again. Even if the plane was fast enough, you’ve got the fuel and handling to worry about. It’s a shame that they don’t work hand in hand, isn’t it? The handling’s terrible, the speed's average and the gas mileage is absolutely crap! Anyway, when you’re parked behind the van or trailing it (on the road, not in the air), shoot it. If you’re up close, back away but KEEP SHOOTING. It’ll eventually blow up. If it does make an attempt to get away and you’re confident in your flying skills, follow it and shoot. But I wouldn’t recommend it. You’ll be wasting fuel. Also, the planes bullet range is from close-medium so you can stay still for a few seconds when its moving and your bullets still have a chance to hit it. If you wasted the van, you’ll hear Zero say something like, “Yeah! No more couriers. Bring the plane back in one piece” by now you’re thinking, "OMFG! I have to fly ALL the way back!!" Well, yes you do. But it’s easy. You’ve got to get to Zero’s roof which is about 3 minutes fly away. When I was at this stage (after killing the last courier), i had about 2/5 (1/4) of my fuel left. I thought I wasn’t going to make it, but I did. You’ll make it too if you follow these instructions. Fly up and over the buildings and buzz your way towards the blip. To increase speed, fly high up in the air then make a gradual dive towards the ground. You’ll hear the planes buzz get louder. Only attempt this when you’re really high. Just in case you lose control and plummet down, you’ve got reaction time. If you fly over the construction yard, you’re going in the same route as me. If not, don't worry just make sure you've got enough fuel to get back! When you get nearer the marker, you’ll see it atop of Zero’s shop. You have to land there. He’ll say something like, “Land it on the roof” and the marker disappears! “OMFG!” You might think but it comes back when he’s finished talking. No worries. When you land, it says you earn $5000, and Respect +. Congratulations if you completed it! I’m sure you will. The timings should be evident from the colours used as to when the couriers arrive at any shared junctions, (normally staggered by a couple of mins, how convinient. Each colour represents 2 minutes of game time, I stopped after 10 mins (Hrs) as they were spreading out & I assumed you'de have run out of fuel by this point. Please let me know if this is accurate and/or helped you out. Also another thing to note Courier 4 appeared to get stuck on what looked like the freeway onramp when i did this, not sure if that happens all the time. It was like 4am anyways But awesome job, I'll be trying this out very soon. Yeah, lol. I got pissed at it too. I was up till 8am this morning playing San Andreas. Went to sleep and woke up at 12 noon. More San Andreas time! But, i was trying to do that mission on and off for about 2-3 hours. It really kicks your ass into thinking it's impossible but it isn't. I hope this guide shows you that

ProXimity WarNing
I can easily say I HATE this mission with a passion. Took me 2 hours to beat, non-stop trying! I tried it at least 20 times, and man was this hard. I did it the same way the guide above said it, without using it though. Could of come handy before. But even when I did kill all of them, I would run out of fuel on the way back alot, which pissed me off even more. What I can say is don't give up, eventually you will beat it. -PW- Edited October 31, 2004 by ProXimity WarNing
GameMaster90
Yeah, even the GameMaster must admit that this mission is the hardest and most frustrating of any mission, out of all the GTA's. It's just stupid and lame, how the RC Baron handles, if it were a RC Heli, then it would be way better. I must have tried this mission like 100 times now, and still can't pass it. I must do this one, because I've done all the other ones, so I got to beat this one. I'll try your guide later, see how it works.
dannyallen
Thanks a bunch! I've bookmarked this so that I can use it when I get to it. (in about 13 missions ) (hey, i'm not slow! i've only played for 7 hours!)
GameMaster90
Ok, I followed like you said in your guide, and past it! Thanks a bunch man, here's like a bunch of cookies, and catloaf to go with it. I stayed focused, played it cool, and beat it in the first try after I read the guide with about 1/4 fuel tank too. chuck430
if youre high above the targets, as high as you can go as to avoid all buildings, can you still hit the targets with the gun? i noticed that no fuel is wasted when you are landed and at a stand still, anyone try to see if they would come to you, or at least close to you so you dont have to waste a lot of fuel? Nice one! Congratz. The last one 'New Model Army' is uber easy. It's ridiculous. It goes from Air Raid, medium to Supply Lines, very hard to New Model Army that is super easy! OMG! chuck - No. It's safer to get close and shoot them because then you've got more time to blow them up. A lot more accurate shooting too. Norcon & alex - Read the guide carefully. It's worked for others so there's no reason why it won't work for you.
IntelliCow
This is a hella nice guide, Untouchable; I only want to add that parking and lying in wait (as Chuck430 mentioned) is a viable solution once you've gotten the 3 nearest targets. The other two will vary in distance from Zero's building quite a lot (I've run out of fuel because the van went far to the NE, and I tried to chase it down), but if you park in the middle-upper-left of the downtown area, both the bike and the van will come to very near your position. If you track where they go, you can be sitting there waiting with your gun trained on them when they stop at the intersection. The van was right in front of me, and was like a deer in the headlights when I opened up. They stop at all the goddamn stop lights, though, so grab a coke/beer/whatever and periodically check their positions on your close-up map. Side note: I don't think either of the northeast targets actually noticed me before I started shooting, no matter where I flew. Are you sure about that, Untouchable? Yeah but landing still wastes fuel. You're better off flying to them than waiting for them to come to you. I'm sure if you fly right infront of the 2 vans or Sanchez they'll start shooting at you and driving away. I know it's right because it happened to me. IntelliCow
No, sitting on the ground uses no fuel. It's mostly useful if the two far targets are way far away, and their route will take them back to you so you don't have to track them down. IntelliCow
Um, cross my heart and hope to die? If you're driving along the ground, yeah, you lose fuel, but if you park it, and just sit there without pressing any buttons, your fuel bar stays rock solid. I just sat there shooting any pedestrian who walked in front of me while waiting for the van to come closer. You don't get attacked by pedestrians or cops in the bandit, which is a saving grace, I suppose.
The Untouchable
Stop f*cking double post, man. You don't need to bump the topic every 10 mins. Anyway, good guide. Actually, i do. Don't you see how useful the topic is to people? How is it useful if it's 3/4 down the page or on the second one? People won't search for it often, they'll just make new topics if they don't see one talking about it straight away. That's why it needs to stay up top. Thanks anyway. IntelliCow
lol... it's the most difficult, frustrating, awful mission in this and probably any GTA ever... and it shouldn't be at the top? Bump.

Bump. Ok. I understand what you mean now. But i have two reasons why i thought otherwise. 1) When i was driving around on the floor and stopped, the fuel went down. I thought, "WTF, it goes down when you're stationary!!?" but it might be because just after i stopped, the fuel went down a bit and 2) When you fly in the air and let go of 'X' so you're not picking up any speed (should be gliding) you still lose fuel. It's stupid. So i guess you're right
