Windows 10 and it's up-to-date for the version of it.

That's weird because I know for a fact Steam Blender works with windows 10, not unless you're using some thinkpad from the 90s with a virtural machine (I've seen wilder setups and workarounds)

Depending on how good my christmas is I can prob help invest and help get you a new computer to get this done with but idk I dont wanna make any promises I may not be able to keep nawhimean

I mean if you want to. I couldn't ask such a thing but it would give me a leg up in getting somethings done myself.  But I understand that this is no promise and I won't take it as one. If you could honestly help great if not then well I do honestly appreciate that you'd even consider it.  But till then we are working our way on what me and my new team mate can do for for now. We found the answer to the landscaping question btw on the wiki we know that buildings exterieors and interiors are seperate areas that are loaded into. So our first Mad Max building will be built to work with San Andreas's ways of doing exteriors and interriors so that people could actually go into the locations we plan to make.

It seems like the only thing that would get this mod moving is either

A) financial support for new equipment
B) people coming in and promising to help and following through with it

I'm sure there's other factors but that's what I can tell at least

You've mostly hit the nail on the head. Without going over the extremely long story I have almost been homeless twice this year. Things have gone from bad to worse since I originally left this forum and I even had to sell some of the few mad max collectables I had just not die. To say nothing of when we all got covid over here and it's only by the grace of my vaccinations that I am not dead or have permanent lung damage like my cousin has. I'll cut it there I am not looking for sympathy.

 

 But yes as much as I hate to admit to "A" that is a piece of it but I didn't come back to demand or try to pull on heartstrings (not that either of those would work) for money for this. But B would obviously solve a lot and be less of an ask of the community I think. But at this point This is my life's work either here in San Andreas or in GTA V or both or neither. Even if neither A or B happens I am still doing this cause I can see these mods in my minds eye and they look incredible and seem fun to play even if you don't give a hoot about the movies.

 

 I am still here on this side of the forums cause we STILL have fans to this day that patiently await another release for SA. And because the GTA V side of the forums either don't care or are openly hostile to this mod. BUT I am still willing to push what we have made and released already onto GTA V because I have wanted to see these cars and trucks in a higher def and with the right equipement I can do just that using the method you brought up.  

 

 BUT as said. I know the forums are different now. I couldn't accept it back in 2016 but I accept it now. I AM NOT OWED THIS MODS COMPLETION...I NEVER WAS. I accept and respect that. And in doing so I accept that I am also not owed A or B. This is my cross to bare and bare it I do cause I love this IP and another thing I've known since the start of all this back in 2004 and sadly was cut from the article is I know for myself that If I don't do this work for this IP NO ONE WILL.  Sure I've seen the mods that are look alikes in both SA and GTA V. And they are cool for what they are. BUT THEY AREN'T ACCURATE AT ALL. That's part of why I do this.

 

 Another thing that was cut from the article is the preservationist part of this mod. Did you know that the two screen used Thunderbirds from the movie "The Crow" have been found and are somewhat intact? Did you know they are sitting in a junkyard rotting away? And that legally no one can just buy what's left of the cars and restore them for preservation meaning these cars will rot and never see the light of day again? Cars that the late Brandon Less Sat in?   Save for some of Mad Max 1 and 2 and Fury road most cars,bikes and trucks of the mad max movies are crushed or otherwise destoryed. You may not care about that BUT AUSTRALIA SURE AS f*ck DOES. And I do too.  So even if help never comes or I can never get back onto my feet again to have the things I need to finish this mod or push it to GTA V inspite of that side of the forums. I will never stop doing this.

 

 Part of this too is something the Journalist said to me "this mod has so much potential" and it's right. We have cars, trucks, guns, rigs but more then that we have helicopter replacements, an airplane We even have a replacement for the trains that I have nearly completed modeling thanks to thunderdome. I get that most don't see that potential in this mod. And probably even fewer care. And so it goes. I never asked for the article I was PM'd here on the forums and only saw the notification from this Journalist because of the GTA VI leaks, which yes I saw that thread and even have some of the videos but not all. But I digress. 

 

 To finish this post off I'll just say I am not going to stop due to lack of equipement or help. If I don't do this work no one will. And this is my life's work. If help and such never comes I am not going to stop. thought I may have more gaps coming up if things where I live don't improve but some of that is on me other things are completely out of my control. But when I can be back, if the worst happens to me, I will come back and I will keep doing this. Because it's my passion. nd I do plan to make the "Crow" T-bird thunderbird someday but for now it's almost all mad max.

I get that the mod is your life passion and I like to see peoples dreams come true and stuff like that but don’t you think that you should try to get your living situation more permanent and better before embarking on an endeavor?

 

Like I don’t mind helping where I can but I also wouldn’t feel right helping you get a new computer when youre a pinch away from being on the streets. Ofc I could be wrong and I hope I am but just make sure you got your living situation and other life related things down straight before you go about a big endeavor like this
