[WIP]Road Warrior Mod For San Andreas

yes in all honesty as most know the cars body is not mine includign the engine for now i am playing art depratment and glueing and weliding and bolting crap on using screen caps i did off a dvd of road warrior. if yo uwant to knwo the main engine work hasne't begun btu not much is to be done....and induction system is needed to be put on top and the piles have to be redone to come out the side of the car.

 

as it is the owrk i did look up and take away the brock pancake pan on top of the engine and remove most of the exhaust. thank you augh for the pictures i hope to get some owrk done tonight where by i could show some engien shots of what i did.

 

but the incredible car is aughs which would go in the read me and on here once hse is done i am quiet happy with the chin spoiler (the right screenshots can make all the difference.) and the back spioler came out great as well the modifications of aughs wonderful mesh is coming out well but msot credit should go to augh for that car.

 

i should be back to all scratch built work after this car when i restart the rig with an actual free model i foudn to use as a refrence to make the rig of the utmost accuracy as i know it will be one of the main models of the mod that people will want....but it doesn't stop there with a little help form my friands i hope to incorparate the mack r 600 into the regualr trucks with differnet skins and such. so that is my main update for now i thnak augh for the assist and i want to restat that augh is the main artist on the car i am only modifining it.

Im glad people like what ive got so far. This is my first weapon mod, so im trying to put some detail into it while keeping it low polly, prob below the 700 mark(fingers crossed)

 

Ive also done the handle and barrel, so once i get on my own computer post some pics.

hah yeah well the holdens a chevy so they might of got some insparation off the 1970 1/2 cmaro so yeah i dunno but thanks for the comment s , ive also made the front grille onmthe nighrider version of this too. ill post an update of that soon .

I'll try and find a polycount since there seems to be some curiosity there, imo it'll turn out to be the lion's share of the vehicle... Hell, the thing could be reworked to provide a more general v block for various uses I suppose, hmmm.

 

The Monaro does have some blatant Camaro in there, I think Camaro is cuter though

new member announcemnt to be made sh0rtlife has joined on as a tech advisor to the vehicles from an american stand point he also has a digital camera and lives near a few junkyards .

 

i have sent him out on a few errunds for me but he is also for the team if you need engine parts pictured or help with suspention he can help he also has said he has driven many of the amrican counter parts to the aussie cars in the film so he says he can help be a beta tester and give pointers as to the feel of the cars he is also a heavy gear head which should come in handy here and there so any pictures you need pm me and i'll send them his way he cannot however get bodys shots of the aussie cars themselves as he is here in the states.

 

@92f fantastic work i love the slots in the sight holder jsut above the barrel very nice touch.

 

@c.j. great work but is is me or was the grill in line with the head lights preety much?? i'll have to review my screens and see otherwise fantastic work so far.

 

@augh um....great work on what you have so far i look forward to whatever progress you are making so far.

 

good work team so far we are closer to some vehicles we can have for display to show all our teams quality workmansh*t in what i believe will be both modelign and skinning. after news years the heat will begin but frankly until any of use get our pc versions and some tools there is no big rush i love what i see and i keep getting some rave mails form people who think we are doign a fantastic job so far.

Apart from that, and working on Joan of Arc, I f*cked around with the Falcon's side windows, trying to get the correct indent, it either looks grubby due to bad normals, or too crisp, I'll have to try some stuff, maybe a bevel or chamfer or something...

hitting a few bumps in the road but still forging ahead bravely. new member announcment bigfoot2003 has joined before btu was unsure of what he wanted to do he has decided upon the statsmen with no doors or front fender i'm bussy digging up refences and he has given me permission to modify his kawasaki z1 so i'll be glusing and pasting onto that model as well with bigfoot2003 having credit for them ain model.

 

tonight i forge ahead with the induction system for the red xa once finished all i need to do is the hoods the pipes the rims and then the damaged rear spoiler and she will be done. till then all.

thanks to new member shOrtlife i was able to get a firm start on the induction system she ain't pretty as we are trying to watch the polly count but she is a big step toward finishing this baby up and having her read to texturizing and eventual realease once sa hits the pc and tools are accuired. so here is the owrk done so far. (note: the pipes are a low polly experement and need more work and rework so don't panic when you see them they aren't permenent and need more bend points when going from the side to under the car.)

at times they looked too small then i lookd at the actual screenshots then back to the car then the screenshots then back to the car and it fits. gotta decide on weather or not to do the cables on the induction or not otherwise she is pretty good for lower poly once done i can foucus on the pipes and the hood and the rims last detail will be the damaged rear spoiler.

Even though I want that statesman really bad I don't think there is a statesman in Mad Max.

There's the Sandman with a statesman front but thats it if i'm wrong please ignore me but on Madmaxmovies.com under vehicle's there's no mention of a statesman except for the front of one being on the sandman.

lol this is mainly a road warrior mod but we are doign some of mad max the raod warrior does have a statesmen in it but the front fenders and doors were removed. that is also at madmaxmovies.com

 

how's my first and so far only sig...a bit simplistic but it gets the poitn across and yes that's me on there. jokes anyways all seruiousness we have yet anotehr new member.

 

choofa has joined he wants to do guns so we sent him on to do the double barrel shotguns from mad max (not the sawed off) the ones granny had and the one max was holding when he was chasing the panel van at the tiem his wife and child were run down by the biker gang. so welcome him one and all.

and well thank you augh the pipes are 8 sided but i went with 7 sided lights cause it was lower poly cause i need to save some of the pollies for some small detail here and there on the induction system. need to redo the low poly pipes so that they curl under the bottom of the side of the cars body i'm jsut seeing where thigns need to go on those ones.

i thinhk the reason no one liked thunderdome , was cuz everyone was expecting a car chase movie like the other two, but for the car fans its was a let down becuase they thought it was another car movie, but i think thundadome shows what the outcome is after the 15- 20 odd years after the first movie, but i mean other peole must of liked thunderdome, i no for a fact my granmother likes the mad max trilogy and her favourite movie was thunderdome , but there is a cool scence in thundome: when he takes control of his f -150 again and has a high speed head on collision with the other retard and the cars go airborn, the its a fu*kin awsome scence, cus the whole cab of the other vechile ripps back and the screen shakes. now thats cool.

okay so baring my demise in 7 dyas i'm working here and there but i'm test driving sa on the playstation 2 (mine was in the shop.) so it will be a little while before you will see a major modleign update but i am working be sure of that the rig is going to some redesigns since page 1. i got a decent model to use as a refrence working the augh way to make a better quality model then i can do by eye. so the mod charges on more updates soon i promise.

 

update or sorts thanks to bigfoot2003's genrious donation of his kawasaki z1 i will be taking on as a side project wez bike from raod warrior bigfoot gets the main body credit and as with aughs car i am also modifining i will only get mod credit.

 

so my ex will be in town for about 10 days starting sunday the 21st (her legal visitation with my son.) so i will not be getting much work done at that time but after the 2nd of dec i shall be back working extra hard to make up for lost time. well gotta go get working on the bike and finishing up the red xa see you all real soon.
