Flying the Skimmer

Arg stupid piece of crap, does anyone know of a mod that will allow you to use a helicopter in the second mission for the film studios asset? I've tried several times at controlling the plane with the keyboard but the stupid thing doesn't want to stay in the air. I bought a joystick today but I am not having any luck controlling the Skimmer with it either. I can make the plane fly a bit and turn once it's in the air but I can't get it to go back into the air if it dips down. Any help on this mission would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Aaron

Post it on Demerests Save n Play and either I or one of the other helpers will do it for you...

Your looking for a Mod ?, Go to the modding section.

1) Get in the plane

2) Press (X) and turn the plane around, so you have a nice long bit of water to take off from.

3)Then hold the D-Pad down button while pressing the(X) button. This should cause you to go up.To level out just press the Up button.

That's for the PS2, i see your on PC, just change the (X) to whatever you use for accelaration and the buttons you use to steer imstead of the D-pad.

Hope this helps.

For PC:

Get in the plane and make sure you configured some buttons for the lean back and lean forward buttons.

1) Get in

2) Accelerate like you do whilst driving a car or bike

3) when you can't go any faster or when you think you could lift up, press the lean down button.

4) Don't overpush it cause when you do, the nose of the plane will drift down, softly push the lean back button sometimes.

5) Always keep the gas open so you won't fall.

Easy as pie, good luck wink.gif

If you feel the Skimmer is hard to fly, you should try the Dodo. VC's planes are very easy to fly.

i have never heared of anyone having trouble flyign the skimmer before. i know a few people (including myself) had trouble getting to grips with the helechoppers. just keep the accelaration pressed and avoid buildings

Yeah I'm having trouble on the Dildo dodo mission (or whatever it's called). Is there a way to get a helicopter for that mission?

No. If you changed the scripting for it, you MIGHT have to start a new game anyways. As was stated, just post your save in my SNP VC thread (link in my sig) and I'll pass it for you wink.gif

Go to the top of the parking garage by the North Point Mall and finish the RC plane race. By the time you're done, the Skimmer will be easy.

I personally love the flying things in VC. The RC planes and choppers, and the real planes and choppers biggrin.gif

It's obviously not for everyone though because a number of people seem to be having trouble getting the Skimmer off the water... confused.gif
