A hell of a lot needs reorientating, but I'm gettin there. Out of interest, is there any way to lessen the amount of faces that need reorientating?

Do you kow that a blue face in Sketchup is actually invisible and the gold faces are visible? So if you want to reorient them in Sketchup, simply right click the face and select "Reverse faces". That will turn the blue face into a gold one and vice versa, so you don't have to reorient them in Zmodeler.

However... for some reason I've got two identical (from what I can tell) models of my house sitting right on top of eachother when I import it into ZModeler. Is the second one important, or can I simply delete it?

hey,

is there anyway to prelight a model in Sketchup or Zmod ? ive yet to find a way to do it.

 

i know you can do it through 3dsmax, but i seem to get alot of problems when i use that program for modeling vice city.

amazing work, sketchup seems to have some promising features and seems to be

much more building-design oriented tool, now we can use it with gta, while all other programs are completely useless to make buildings.

On sketchup I can't find the tool to create an arch, or the 'create shapes' tool!

 

Please help!

n00b allert !!

 

i made a building but when i import it in zmod in user view i can't see a thing. i'm trying to zoom out but i can't. The other views are all ok. also in 3d view is the same thing, can't zoom and i don't see nothing.

 

in zmod 2 i can see everything ok but i can't find the reorient tool. is there another tool that does that?

 

please heeeeeelp!

First try to scale it to 10%.

Check if you can see anything. If you only see lines, scale again, by 40% or so.

Then it must be visible.

Hi all

for some reason i cant export my model into zmod.

The export-> 3d model is greyed out. Only the export->2d model is available

any help would be appreciated

i've exported my model out of sketchup as first.3ds

then when i try to import it into zmodeler it won't import it doesn't come up with the file

help please!

Sketchup isn't a free program, you can obtain a free 8 hour trail of it

Umm, sorry... Anyways, can the model be made in Zmodeler? The program looks like 3dsmax itself....

Your right [email protected] it only counts the hours you are using the program or having it openened i now got a license for it and i still like modeling in it but i do own 3dsmax 7 and 3dsmax 3,1 now and they are great tools to only im not that good in modeling in those programs to difficult tounge.gif

Dont imitate, recreate or copy just get your own ideas. Simplicity makes difficulty easy

ya... I'm getting a similar problem. I export my model as a .3ds, and I open zmodeler 2.2, but then I dont have an option to import a .3ds, and I looked on my export list and I cant even export a .dff! So I'm not sure what's up.

when I import my .3ds model into zmod, I click on the user view, then check solid, but all I get is a blue version of my model, which doesnt help me much. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Yep yep yep my model is all white when i import into z mod 1.07b

 

also when i import pcj600.dff as a scaling guide (making a ramp) it dosen't appeer also how do i scal i ctrl + click the model and it dosen't do anything ?????help me out guys im a newbie to modelign

When you open up Zmod (1.07), click on the Materials Editor and you define where the texture files are. wink.gif

 

As for scaling, you did click the Modify button (the right side of the screen) then click Scale, and then CTRL+click while the Model is highlighted?

Ok thanks for that and as for texrturing what do i do for that????? is that told in part to of this?????

Everything fails with me.. also when i try to export it says Error Importing/Exporting file: Can not open the specified file. Possible caused by: invalid file attributes or share violation
