Oh well, Sydney will smack either Geelong or Melbourne then most likely face the hillbillies.

 

The Storm play the Cowboys tonight and need to win to have any chance of hosting a finals game next week. Hopefully the Panthers will take care of the Tigers tomorrow.

Sydney will verse Geelong. They hammered the Demons this arvo. The Rabbitohs game is underway, and if they don't win they may get hold of their third spoon in a row, although it should be four if they are to get it, considering the Bulldogs only got it the first of those times because of a salary cap breach. Storm vs Cowboys is a real hard one to pick. Both have been red hot and freezing cold all year.

So far I've done well with all the AFL games going my way. Although I didn't think the Saints would win I'm glad they did. I think that the home final with their side back will definately help their chances of a premiership. Gives all players time to get 100% fit.

That Sydney/West Coast game was great. Well done by Hunter andSampi near the end of the match. And Lynch for stopping it just inside their back 50, if he hadn't stopped those, they might've lost. Only bad thing about the game is possibly umpires making sloppy decisions.

I think I am still recovering from one of the most crushing defeats in a football game that I have ever experienced. We were winning all game, and then they scored to level it up, when a tie would have put us in the Grand Final. They were awarded a penalty 47m out from the posts, and slotted one of the luckiest kicks I have ever seen. In the sheds, everyone sat in silence without moving from their spots for atleats 15 minutes. We were in shock, disbelief and sadness. We had been busting our guts since December last year for this, and we fell short on a freak kick. This was the 3rd time in 4 finals series we have been robbed of a finals victory by a penalty.

 

Well, it looks as though Monoxide will be doing our AFL reviews for now. -MDG

It's good to be West Coast. They get to play whatever's left of the team that wins. More then likely a few players from both teams will be fired up, the crowd edging them on. I wonder if there will be any reports. I must, repeat, MUST watch this game.

The Ashes final test may be quite the match. At lunch England are 3/115 After 27 overs I beleive. At least thats according to my sources.

 

 

EDIT: Although I would like Geelong and Port to win in the AFL Finals, I beleive that Sydney and the Crows will be too good.

Too big matches on tonight.

 

Cricket: England all out for 373. Australia about 0/15, can't remember exactly what it is, but they had to bat for 25 mins before lunch and made it to lunch without loosing a wicket which is good.

 

AFL: Just started the 3rd quarter, Geelong - 38, Sydney - 18.

Sydney won by 3 points with a goal with about 5 seconds left. Geelong are guttered. All the Saints can hope for is the Swans to be tired and run down.

Nick Davis, you f*cking legend. He kicked a goal on the bell on the luckiest snap kick I have ever witnessed. It was an awesome finish. Australia are 0/112. Rain stopped them after tea. f*cking raindancers. Langer has 75 and Hayden has 32. His knock has been all about character, and he has really fought for every run.

Oh my, Adelaide have absolutely smashed Port. They've really showed their class tonight. Could possibly be an Adelaide vs. St. Kilda grand final, which would be a repeat of '97. Interesting.

Well, it's been said in all the Aussie papers since we lost that test by two runs. There is only one thing worse than a whingeing pom....a gloating one. That is what we have above us. Well, imagine how different that series could have been if Kasper held on for a few more balls on that fateful day. A few vital errors on the last day kept us from having a peek from behind the curtain which ws shut from the time you guys went out and smashed us around in the first day and a half.
