Yeah, I pretty much agree with your tips for the NSW team. It would be nice to see some more Knights players in the team, but seeing as we're winless this season, it's not going to happen.

That's me, we also produced Sean Rudder, and another player who is playing Lower Grade for the Knights, Riley Brown. We have a few others signed in the training program as well, so don't be too surprised to see a couple more of them in the future.

 

If it was this time last year, my NSW team would be a lot different. This time last year, Hodgson would have been at the bottom of the ranks, he had a real bad year. I think there is a few more I could have picked from.

 

Well, in the cricket, I laughed when I went to the worldwide page and saw Hong Kong drew with Nepal. For anyone that is confused, the Intercontinental Cup is on, so I went to that page. THe teams are:

Uganda Ireland

Kenya Netherlands

Namibia Scotland

United Arab Emirates Bermuda

Hong Kong Canada

Nepal USA

 

So yeah, I got a laugh from that.

 

The only other series on at the moment is the South Africa vs Windies one, which South Africa won the test series 2-0 and won the Viv Richards trophy. 5 one dayers are yet to be played. I read today that Clarkey will have a bigger role in the Aussie success in England due to the fact that he will be bowling a lot more.

 

THe ACB has also near finalised a domestic 20Twenty competition for next January.

I will proudly support Country tomorrow night seeing as I am a country boy. I reckon that Matt King and Matt Orford should be in the NSW side barring injury. King would be great against the QLD centres because they're smaller than him and he'd just trample over the top of them. As I've said before, Sherwin doesn't deserve to even be considered for a Blues jersey. City will probably stick him on the bench, have Gower at halfback and Riddell at hooker.

 

Heh, maybe in another hundred years some of those countries could be really competitive in world cricket. Nice to see 20Twenty will be a regular occurrence in Australia.

Melbourne vs Adelaide

I'm going for Adelaide as I think they must just upset Melbourne at the MCG

 

St Kilda vs Geelong

I just hope that the suspension of the G-Train doesn't de-rail the Saints.

 

Carlton vs Richmnd

I think Carlton will be just too strong for Richmond, even if they are coming off a good win.

 

Brisbane vs Western Bulldogs

Brisbane at the Gabba will be too good for the Dogs

 

Sydney vs Essendon

At Telstra Stadium I think Essendon could come away with a win

 

Hawthorn vs West Coast

West Coast will be just too good for the Hawks

 

Port Adelaide vs Kangaroos

Close match I think, but at home I think Port need this win, and they will get it at all costs.

 

Fremantle vs Collingwood

Fremantle are playing well, Collingwood isn't. Fremantle.

The NRL considers Newcastle as a country town, so I guess I'm a country boy tonight. I had almost given up hope at half time, but we've come storming back. 22 - 18 after 56 minutes.

The game ended up 29-22 in City's favour thanks to a Shifty Sherwin field goal and a disallowed try for Country. I thought that decision was crap but I'm a little biased towards country. It was a good match to watch during the second half though because it was more of a contest. I was impressed by Barrett's couple of tries and his overall performance for the night.

Even if he does make a successful comeback from injury, the standard of competition within halfbacks is phenominal now.

I think Barrett will be playing five eighth so if Joey was to get back into form again there would be a spot for him at halfback. When he's at his best he's still better than Orford, Gower and Kimmorley. I doubt that he'll make it back in time for Origin though.

Ditto. Everybody needs to lift their game. Last week there were too many loose Richmond players. I reckon the younger fellas should lift, to show the olders guys they can play. Not to single him out, but Ebert's a damn lot better than he's been playin'. Pettigrew's done good so far.

Arg, sometimes I hate AFL. Tonight during the Sydney v Essendon game, then umpires were f*cking making rules up. Did anyone see in the final quarter when Mark Johnson got the 50m penalty given against him? It was for sledging. Since when has verbally abusing a player been against the rules? Every one does it, it's to put them off their game! It's not worth of a 50m penalty, f*cking bullsh*t.

But yeah, for you Bombers supporters, you have an incredible right to be pissed, especially considering the Swans won by 6, by a big comeback in the final quarter.

Nightmare year for tipping. We thought we had it figured out, and still there are a few messed up matches.

 

I hope that a few West coast playing get reported for punching. They did the same thing Frasier did from the Saints. Saints didn't have their foward line this week. Frasier out suspended, Riewoldt just come back, Hamill out, and now Austin Jones and Robert Harvey are injured.
